    Title
Path Traversal in VMDK Extractor in OSV-SCALIBR
    Summary
A path traversal vulnerability (CWE-22) in the embedded VMDK filesystem extractor in Google OSV-SCALIBR versions 0.3.6 through 0.5.0 allows an attacker who controls the scan target to write arbitrary files to the host system. When scanning crafted VMDK images, insufficient validation of archive path entries allows file extractions to escape destination directories.

    Title
Path Traversal via Symlink Following in allowedLocalRoots in MCP Toolbox for Databases
    Summary
Improper link resolution (CWE-59 / CWE-22) in the allowedLocalRoots path validation in Google MCP Toolbox for Databases versions 1.2.0 through 1.9.0 allows a remote authenticated attacker with tool execution permissions to bypass directory boundary restrictions via symbolic links. Because path validation checks directories lexically without resolving symbolic links first, an attacker can access or overwrite arbitrary local files located outside the permitted root directories.

    Title
Untrusted Search Path (PATH Hijacking) in fuse-archive
    Summary
In Google fuse-archive versions prior to 1.24, an attacker who can prepend a directory to PATH or write a malicious binary to an attacker-controlled or writable directory appearing in PATH can hijack the execution pathway. This allows the attacker to execute arbitrary local code under the security context of the user running the fuse-archive process. The issue was partially mitigated in version 1.22 and fully resolved in 1.24 via refined selective PATH filtering.

    Title
Host Root Sandbox Escape in gVisor via Character Device Passthrough and CUSE
    Summary
Improper Exposure of Resource to Wrong Sphere in the host file helper (gofer) in Google gVisor prior to commit 573a9e73cf844f on Linux platforms with CUSE enabled allows a local attacker with container image deployment privileges to achieve root code execution on the host system. By including a /dev/cuse character device node in a container image, opening the device passes through to the host, allowing the sandboxed attacker to register a host device and exploit CUSE unrestricted ioctl handling to overwrite root udev helper memory.

    CVE-2026-87722 (GCVE-0-2026-87722)

    Title
Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) in Search Query Predicates and REST Filter Endpoints in Gerrit Code Review
    Summary
Uncontrolled Resource Consumption (CWE-400 / CWE-1333) in regex search query predicates (such as RegexProjectPredicate, RegexRefPredicate, RegexPathPredicate, and sibling predicates) and REST regex filter endpoints (RegexListSearcher /projects/?r= and RefFilter /projects/{project}/branches/?r=) in Gerrit Code Review versions 2.1.6 through 3.12.9, 3.13.0 through 3.13.8, and 3.14.0 through 3.14.2 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker (or an authenticated user if anonymous read access is disabled) to cause a denial of service (CPU starvation and JVM heap exhaustion / OutOfMemoryError) via crafted search queries or REST API requests containing regular expressions with large counted repetitions or exponential DFA determinization patterns. Because the user-supplied regular expression is compiled into an unbounded dk.brics.automaton instance (new RegExp(re).toAutomaton()) on the request thread prior to index evaluation or access control visibility filtering, trivial queries can exhaust JVM heap or pin request threads regardless of heap size. This issue is fixed in Gerrit Code Review versions 3.12.10, 3.13.9, and 3.14.3.

    Title
Denial of Service via Exponential Backtracking in ANTLR Search Query Parser in Gerrit Code Review
    Summary
Uncontrolled Resource Consumption (CWE-400 / CWE-407) in the ANTLR 3 search query parser (QueryParser / Query.g) in Gerrit Code Review versions 2.0.19 through 3.12.9, 3.13.0 through 3.13.8, and 3.14.0 through 3.14.2 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker (or an authenticated user if anonymous read access is disabled) to cause a persistent denial of service (CPU exhaustion and HTTP worker thread pool starvation requiring a server restart) via crafted search queries containing deeply nested parentheses sent to query evaluation endpoints (/changes/?q=, /accounts/?q=, /groups/?query=, /projects/?query=, /Documentation/?q=, /changes/{id}/query?expression=, or SSH gerrit query). Because syntactic predicates in conditionOr and conditionAnd recurse via conditionBase without memoization prior to capability or visibility checks and worker threads do not abort when the client disconnects, a small number of requests (such as 25 requests matching default httpd.maxThreads) can permanently pin all HTTP worker threads. This issue is fixed in Gerrit Code Review versions 3.12.10, 3.13.9, and 3.14.3.

    Title
Incorrect Authorization via Stale ProjectCache Eviction and Repeated .git Suffixes in Gerrit Code Review
    Summary
Incorrect Authorization (CWE-863) in project name normalization (ProjectUtil.stripGitSuffix) and ProjectCache eviction logic (ProjectCacheImpl) in Gerrit Code Review versions 2.16.0 through 3.12.9, 3.13.0 through 3.13.8, and 3.14.0 through 3.14.2 allows an authenticated user (or an unauthenticated user if the repository was previously public) to cause unauthorized disclosure of private repository content and durable restoration of revoked project-owner administrative privileges via crafted requests using repeated .git suffixes (such as project.git.git) across REST APIs, Gitiles, or SSH Git commands. Because Gerrit strips only a single terminal .git suffix when constructing the logical ProjectCache key while JGit (FileKey.lenient) resolves the suffixed alias to the same canonical bare repository on disk, revoking read access or removing owner rules on the canonical project name fails to evict the cached alias ProjectState during the cache validity window, enabling reads of newly created private commits or writes to refs/meta/config. This issue is fixed in Gerrit Code Review versions 3.12.10, 3.13.9, and 3.14.3.

This issue is fixed in Gerrit Code Review versions 3.12.10, 3.13.9, and 3.14.3."

    Title
    Token Cache Reuse in mcp-toolbox-sdk-python
    Summary
A caching flaw in the toolbox-core package of the mcp-toolbox-sdk-python SDK causes the same Google ID token to be cached and reused across different audiences. If an application uses the SDK to authenticate to two or more different audiences within the same process, the module-level token cache fails to key its cached tokens by the requested audience. Consequently, a valid, unexpired token minted for a sensitive service (Service A) can be retrieved from the cache and sent to a secondary service (Service B). An attacker who operates, compromises, or monitors traffic to Service B can capture this token and replay it to impersonate the victim application against Service A.

    Title
Uncontrolled Recursion leading to Denial of Service in protobuf-javascript (google-protobuf)
    Summary
google-protobuf contains an unbounded recursion when parsing unknown protobuf group fields. An attacker can send a small crafted payload of deeply nested START_GROUP wire bytes to any Node.js service that calls the generated deserializeBinary() API, causing a RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded and crashing the process. No authentication or prior knowledge of the schema is required.

    CVE-2026-19201 (GCVE-0-2026-19201)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-09-08 23:48 – Updated: 2026-09-10 14:50
    VLAI
    Title
Denial of Service via Unbounded Recursion in go-attestation Windows SIPA Parser
    Summary
An uncontrolled recursion vulnerability in the Windows SIPA event log parser of Google go-attestation versions up to and including 0.6.1 allows an attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS). The (*WinEvents).readELAMAggregation function recurses for every nested elamAggregation sub-event without enforcing a maximum recursion depth limit, while the size guard is bypassed on recursive execution paths. By submitting a crafted Windows event log containing deeply nested elamAggregation headers, an attacker can exhaust the goroutine call stack, triggering an unrecoverable fatal runtime error (stack overflow) that immediately crashes the verifier application.

    Title
Arbitrary JavaScript Execution via openUrl in @a2ui/web_core
    Summary
The openUrl function in @a2ui/web_core passes an agent-controlled URL directly to window.open() without validating the URI scheme. A malicious agent can supply a javascript: URI as the url argument of a Button component's functionCall action. When the user clicks the rendered button, arbitrary JavaScript executes in the victim application's browser origin, constituting a stored/reflected XSS with Critical severity. No non-default configuration is required; the Basic Catalog is enabled by default.

    Title
Authentication Bypass and Audience Confusion in MCP Toolbox OAuth Provider
    Summary
An authentication bypass and audience confusion vulnerability exists in the Google OAuth provider component of Google mcp-toolbox version 1.4.0. When a Google authService is initialized with mcpEnabled: true but lacks an explicitly defined audience or clientId, the ValidateMCPAuth pipeline for opaque tokens skips audience validation entirely. As a result, the toolbox will accept any valid Google OAuth access token—even those minted for unrelated ecosystem applications—granting unauthorized clients access to protected tools and data backends.

    Title
Server-Side Request Forgery via Unrestricted HTTP Redirection in MCP Toolbox
    Summary
A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in the generic HTTP source and tool components of Google mcp-toolbox versions 0.3.0 through 1.4.0. While the toolbox implements baseline input sanitization for user-controlled parameters, the underlying HTTP client (internal/sources/http/http.go) fails to safely regulate request redirection boundaries. Specifically, the client is initialized without a restrictive CheckRedirect policy hook and lacks target IP validation. An attacker or a malicious data-driven prompt can supply a crafted path parameter that triggers an open redirect or a direct destination swap on the target backend, coercing the mcp-toolbox into blindly following the redirection and making unauthorized requests to internal or arbitrary external endpoints.

    Title
Denial of Service via Unrestricted Payload Buffering in MCP Toolbox
    Summary
An allocation of resources without limits vulnerability in the HTTP handler component of Google mcp-toolbox versions up to and including 1.4.0 allows an unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS). The /mcp endpoint handler reads incoming payloads directly into system memory using an unrestricted buffer loop (io.ReadAll) without applying defensive constraints such as http.MaxBytesReader or pre-read Content-Length enforcement. By submitting a single, massive HTTP request body, an attacker can linearly consume available host memory until the runtime process is terminated by an Out-Of-Memory (OOM) error.

    Title
BigQuery Dataset Allowlist Bypass via Metadata Dry-Run in MCP Toolbox
    Summary
An improper authorization and security-boundary bypass vulnerability in the bigquery-execute-sql tool component of Google mcp-toolbox versions 0.16.1 through 1.4.0 allows an authenticated attacker to bypass allowedDatasets validation checks. The toolbox relies on the BigQuery dry-run API to enforce dataset restrictions, but due to a fail-open logic flaw, it bypasses validation when the API returns an empty array for specialized constructs. This allows the attacker to extract structural DDL schemas for explicitly excluded datasets via INFORMATION_SCHEMA, and access downstream federated row data via EXTERNAL_QUERY connections.

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-07-29 17:37 – Updated: 2026-07-29 18:08
    VLAI
    Title
    Google-ADK Continuation Forgery
    Summary
A vulnerability in the Agent Development Kit (ADK) allows for continuation forgery in tool confirmations. An attacker who is able to manipulate or inject events into the session history can execute unauthorized tools by forging a tool confirmation response. This is possible because the framework did not verify if the target tool was registered to the executing agent, did not validate if the tool actually required confirmation, and did not match the confirmation arguments against the original tool call event in the history.

    Title
Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) and Credential Exfiltration in googleapis/mcp-toolbox cloud-healthcare-fhir-fetch-page Tool
    Summary
A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) and credential exfiltration vulnerability exists in the cloud-healthcare-fhir-fetch-page tool of googleapis/mcp-toolbox. The tool takes an unvalidated pageURL parameter from the client and issues an HTTP GET request to it using an authenticated client. The underlying transport automatically attaches an Authorization: Bearer header to every outbound request regardless of the destination host. An attacker can supply an arbitrary external URL to the pageURL parameter (either directly via the tool execution payload or implicitly via data-driven pagination tracking loops), leading Toolbox into sending its OAuth/service-account access token to an attacker-controlled listener. Depending on the configuration, this leaks either the end-user's token or the broader service-account access token (ADC), potentially exposing Protected Health Information (PHI) and secondary Google Cloud Platform services.

Depending on the configuration, this leaks either the end-user\u0027s token or the broader service-account access token (ADC), potentially exposing Protected Health Information (PHI) and secondary Google Cloud Platform services."

    Title
Observable Timing Discrepancy in Tink-Java and Tink-Android ChunkedMacVerification
    Summary
When verifying a mac with a ChunkedMacVerification object, Tink compares the resulting tag with non constant time comparison. This potentially allows an attacker to use timinig information as a side channel in order to get information how many bytes of a given tag match the correct tag. This in turn could allow to find a correct tag bytewise.

    Title
SQL Injection and Security Boundary Bypass in googleapis/mcp-toolbox
    Summary
A SQL injection (CWE-89) and security boundary bypass (CWE-863) vulnerability exists in the prebuilt BigQuery forecasting tool (bigquery-forecast) of googleapis/mcp-toolbox. The tool accepts client-controlled parameters (data_col, timestamp_col, and id_cols) as plain strings and interpolates them unescaped via fmt.Sprintf directly into a generated AI.FORECAST table-valued SELECT statement. While MCP Toolbox utilizes an allowedDatasets mechanism to restrict queries, this defense only validates the history_data parameter; the final assembled query is executed without re-validation. An attacker can break out of the string literal fields (such as timestamp_col) to inject a valid multi-statement or cross-dataset query block. This allows an unauthorized user to bypass the operator-configured allowedDatasets boundary and read arbitrary BigQuery tables.

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-06-29 17:51 – Updated: 2026-06-29 18:26

    Title
Path Traversal in googleapis/mcp-toolbox HTTP Tool URL Builder
    Summary
A path traversal vulnerability exists in the HTTP tool URL builder of googleapis/mcp-toolbox. When constructing downstream API requests, the URL builder substitutes user-controlled pathParams into the configured tool path and parses the resulting string as a relative URL. While it checks that the input does not alter the scheme, host, or user info, it relies on ResolveReference for the final URL resolution. Because dot segments (../) are normalized during this resolution step, an attacker can supply path parameters containing directory traversal sequences to escape the operator-configured path scope. This allows the client to coerce the toolbox into making requests to unintended endpoints on the same target host while forwarding the toolbox's configured credentials (e.g., bypassing a restricted path like /api/v1/users/{{.id}} to reach /admin/secrets).

    CVE-2026-12681 (GCVE-0-2026-12681)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-06-24 00:49 – Updated: 2026-06-24 12:57
    VLAI
    Summary
Improper Validation of Specified Index, Position, or Offset in Input vulnerability in Google go-attestation. parseEfiSignatureList() does not advance the buffer past vendor bytes before reading entries. For hashSHA256SigGUID lists, this allows attacker-controlled vendor header bytes to be appended to the trusted SHA256 hash list. A crafted TPM event log could inject arbitrary SHA256 hashes into the verifier's trusted measurement database, enabling a remote attestation verifier to accept a compromised boot state. This issue affects go-attestation: through 0.6.0.

    CVE-2026-11719 (GCVE-0-2026-11719)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-06-18 11:55 – Updated: 2026-06-18 13:53
    VLAI
    Summary
An authenticated authorization bypass vulnerability exists in MCP Toolbox for Databases due to missing scope enforcement across older protocol handlers. While the 2025-11-25 protocol version handler correctly enforces per-tool restrictions defined by scopesRequired, older supported protocol versions (2025-06-18, 2025-03-26, and 2024-11-05) omit this check. An authenticated client with low-privilege tokens (e.g., read) can bypass the intended per-tool scope restrictions and execute high-privilege tools (e.g., admin) simply by specifying an older protocol version in the MCP-Protocol-Version header, or by omitting the header entirely (which causes the server to default to the vulnerable 2024-11-05 handler).

    CVE-2026-11718 (GCVE-0-2026-11718)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-06-18 11:52 – Updated: 2026-06-18 13:53
    VLAI
    Summary
An authentication bypass vulnerability exists in the generic opaque token validation path (validateOpaqueToken) of googleapis/mcp-toolbox. When the toolbox validates an opaque token via an OAuth 2.0 introspection endpoint (RFC 7662), it decodes the response into an introspectResp struct. However, the subsequent claim-checking logic (validateClaims) evaluates the issuer condition as if a.issuer != "" && iss != "". If the external OAuth provider's introspection response omits the optional iss (issuer) field completely, the variable iss defaults to an empty string. This causes the conditional block to evaluate to false and be skipped silently. Consequently, the application accepts tokens issued by unauthorized or unintended third-party identity providers.

    CVE-2026-11717 (GCVE-0-2026-11717)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-06-18 11:50 – Updated: 2026-06-18 12:23
    VLAI
    Summary
An authentication bypass vulnerability exists in the generic opaque token validation path (validateOpaqueToken) of googleapis/mcp-toolbox. When verifying an unparsed opaque token via an OAuth 2.0 introspection endpoint (RFC 7662), the toolbox decodes the response into an introspectResp struct where the Active field is declared as a pointer to a boolean (*bool). The code only explicitly rejects a token if the response contains a populated active field set to false (if introspectResp.Active != nil && !*introspectResp.Active). If an introspection endpoint responds with a payload that completely omits the mandatory active key, the internal variable remains nil, causing the conditional check to short-circuit. As a result, Toolbox accepts authorization tokens missing the "active" field, granting access to protected tools and underlying data sources.

    Summary
The Model Context Protocol has a security warning advising servers to validate the "Origin" header on all incoming connections to prevent DNS rebinding attacks. Prior to the v0.25.0 release, users had no way to validate the origin's host. In v0.25.0, a new "--allowed-hosts" flag was introduced alongside the existing "--allowed-origins" flag, enabling users to specify permitted hosts at server startup. Both flags default to "*", allowing users to implement strict access controls as needed without breaking existing setups. If either flag is set to "*", the server will output a startup warning about potential vulnerabilities. Documentation has also been updated to highlight these security considerations.

    CVE-2026-9739 (GCVE-0-2026-9739)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-05-27 21:38 – Updated: 2026-05-28 13:20
    VLAI
    Summary
Vulnerable to DNS rebinding attacks when using SSE (http://b/499408790). During the beta phase, we implemented `allowed-origins` and `allowed-hosts` flags to align with MCP security guidelines. However, the hardcoded `Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *` header in the SSE initialization handler was inadvertently retained. This vulnerability specifically impacts users connecting via Toolbox using SSE under specification v2024-11-05.
