"text": "compress provides various compression algorithms. Prior to version 1.18.7, a signed integer overflow vulnerability in s2.NewDict() allows an attacker to bypass repeat index validation by supplying a dictionary with a uvarint-encoded repeat value exceeding MaxInt64. When Dict.Encode() is subsequently called, the overflowed negative repeat value causes an out-of-bounds memory access via unsafe.Pointer arithmetic, crashing the process with SIGSEGV. This issue has been patched in version 1.18.7.",

Prior to version 0.21.0, the exporters/otlp/otlplog/otlploggrpc package loads OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_LOGS_CERTIFICATE, OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_CERTIFICATE, and related client certificate environment variables through loadEnvTLS into cfg.tlsCfg, but newGRPCDialOptions does not apply cfg.tlsCfg when creating gRPC transport credentials. The environment-only TLS path instead uses credentials.NewTLS with system roots and no configured client certificate, bypassing intended private CA pinning and mutual TLS unless the application also supplies WithTLSCredentials. A network attacker able to intercept or spoof the collector connection with a system-trusted certificate can read or alter log telemetry. This issue is fixed in version 0.21.0.",

"text": "OpenTelemetry-Go is the Go implementation of OpenTelemetry. Prior to version 0.21.0, the go.opentelemetry.io/otel/sdk/log BatchingProcessor can enter a tight CPU loop when attacker-driven log emission fills its asynchronous export buffer while the exporter is backpressured. NewBatchingProcessor wraps the exporter with newBufferExporter(exporter, 1), and the poll loop calls queue.TryDequeue and bufferExporter.EnqueueExport before immediately signaling pollTrigger whenever the queue remains at or above batchSize. Because a failed nonblocking EnqueueExport leaves the queue length unchanged, the processor repeatedly retries without waiting for its ticker, exhausting CPU and degrading or denying service in the embedding process. This issue is fixed in version 0.21.0.",

"text": "gRPC-Go is the Go language implementation of gRPC. Prior to 1.83.1, the xDS RBAC HTTP filter in internal/xds/httpfilter/rbac/rbac.go does not lowercase header matcher names in normalizeHeaderMatcher even though incoming metadata keys are lowercase. A DENY policy using a mixed-case name such as X-Role or User-Agent therefore does not match and fails open, allowing requests that should be rejected. The same case mismatch permits :Scheme or Grpc-Status to evade gRFC A41 validation and prevents Host from being rewritten to :authority. This issue is fixed in version 1.83.1.",

"text": "gRPC-Go is the Go language implementation of gRPC. Prior to 1.83.1, internal/transport/transport.go stores each fragmented HTTP/2 DATA frame as a separate recvMsg in recvBuffer, so millions of one-byte frames can consume disproportionate heap memory even when payload bytes remain within connection and stream flow-control windows. An unauthenticated remote attacker can use concurrent multiplexed streams to exhaust process memory and cause a runtime panic or out-of-memory termination. Receive-buffer compaction is enabled by default and can be controlled temporarily with GRPC_GO_EXPERIMENTAL_ENABLE_RECEIVE_BUFFER_COMPACTION. This issue is fixed in version 1.83.1.",

"text": "gRPC-Go is the Go language implementation of gRPC. Prior to 1.82.2 and 1.83.2, servers created with xds.NewGRPCServer() allow internal/transport/http2_server.go to accept an RPC containing neither the :authority header nor the Host header, while RouteAndProcess in internal/xds/server/routing.go assumes that an authority value exists and indexes the empty slice. A remote client that can complete transport connection establishment can trigger an index-out-of-bounds panic that is not recovered by the per-RPC goroutine and terminates the entire server process. In insecure or ordinary TLS deployments the request can be unauthenticated, while strict mTLS or ALTS deployments require valid transport credentials before the malformed RPC can reach the interceptor. This issue is fixed in versions 1.82.2 and 1.83.2.",

Drag nodes to arrange them. Double-click a related vulnerability to open it, or a source to visit its link. The Physics button on the left tunes the layout and the simulation; the legend at the bottom left hides or shows nodes by kind and by sighting type.
Experimental. This forecast is provided for visualization only and may change without notice. Do not use it for operational decisions.
Forecast uses a logistic model when the trend is rising, or an exponential decay model when the trend is falling. Fitted via linearized least squares.

The MITRE ATT&CK techniques below are AI-generated suggestions, inferred from the description of the
vulnerability by the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-classification-roberta-base
model, served locally by ML-Gateway.
They have not been verified by an analyst and are provided for guidance only.
The approach is described in our paper Mapping CVEs to MITRE ATT&CK Techniques: A Curated Gold-Set Classifier and the Limits of LLM-Assisted Label Expansion.
