    Title
pgjdbc pads a value shorter than its declared length with bytes of earlier statements (rather than zeros)
    Summary
pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, versions 42.7.4 through 42.7.13 pads a value that is shorter than its declared length with bytes left in its send buffer instead of zeros, and the server stores those bytes as part of the value. The bytes are messages the driver sent earlier on the same connection: SQL text and parameter values of recent statements, which on a pooled connection can come from other requests. Each padded value can carry up to 8192 bytes of this traffic, or 16320 bytes on a connection with GSS encryption. The padding happens when an application declares a length larger than the data it supplies, through PreparedStatement.setObject with a ByteStreamWriter, CopyIn.writeToCopy, PGCopyOutputStream.write, LargeObject.write, or Blob.setBytes. The driver accepts these calls without an error. An attacker who can make the application store such a value and read it back can collect earlier traffic. Applications whose declared lengths always match their data are not affected. Versions 42.7.3 and earlier pad with zeros.

    Title
pgjdbc does not enforce requireAuth when the value excludes every authentication method
    Summary
pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, versions 42.7.11 through 42.7.13 enforce no restriction when the requireAuth connection property excludes all six authentication methods the driver knows, for example requireAuth=!password,!md5,!gss,!sspi,!scram-sha-256,!none. The driver then accepts any method the server asks for, including cleartext password authentication. A value without a method in it, such as requireAuth=, (a single comma), is affected the same way. An attacker positioned between the application and its server can ask for cleartext password authentication and receive the database password. A positive list such as requireAuth=scram-sha-256, and a partial exclusion such as requireAuth=!password,!md5, are enforced correctly. The property has no default value, so a deployment that does not set it is not affected. 42.7.14 fixes the problem: such a connection is refused with SQLState 08004, and a value without a method in it is rejected as invalid.

    Title
traverse: set() can write to built-in prototypes via an untrusted path
    Summary
traverse (npm) versions 0.3.6 through 0.3.9, 0.4.0 through 0.4.6, 0.5.0 through 0.5.2, and 0.6.0 through 0.6.11 allow prototype pollution through set(). When the path passed to set() crosses a primitive value, the next path segment is resolved on that primitive's built-in prototype, so an application that passes an untrusted path to set() lets an attacker add or overwrite properties of String.prototype, Number.prototype, or Boolean.prototype using plain JSON data, for example traverse({ name: 'bob' }).set(['name', '__proto__', 'polluted'], 'yes'). Object.prototype was reachable only with a non-data path segment, such as an object whose toString returns a different value on each call, or through a Proxy that accepts an assignment without storing it. This is fixed in 0.3.10, 0.4.7, 0.5.3, and 0.6.12.

    CVE-2026-107176 (GCVE-0-2026-107176)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-07 19:29 – Updated: 2026-10-07 19:59
    VLAI
    Title
Cluster-samples-operator: role reads all secrets in openshift-config, not just pull-secret
    Summary
A flaw was found in the cluster-samples-operator. The RBAC Role coreos-pull-secret-reader in namespace openshift-config grants get, list, and watch permissions on all Secret resources without resourceNames scoping. The operator only requires access to the pull-secret Secret. If the samples-operator pod or its service account token is compromised through a separate vulnerability, an attacker could read all secrets in openshift-config, potentially including OAuth identity provider credentials, cloud provider credentials, and other sensitive cluster configuration.

    CVE-2026-107161 (GCVE-0-2026-107161)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-07 19:29 – Updated: 2026-10-07 19:29

    Title
Cyrus-sasl: heap buffer overflow in cyrus-sasl add_to_challenge() allows malicious server to crash or compromise digest-md5 clients
    Summary
A heap-based buffer overflow flaw was found in Cyrus SASL. The add_to_challenge() function in the DIGEST-MD5 plugin computes the size of the buffer needed for a challenge/response field before DIGEST-MD5 quoting is applied, but does not recompute that size when quoting (escaping special characters) makes the value longer. The under-sized buffer is then passed to strcat(), causing a heap-based out-of-bounds write whose size depends on attacker-controlled input. A malicious or on-path DIGEST-MD5 (or HTTP Digest) server can trigger this flaw in a connecting client by supplying a crafted challenge field, such as realm or nonce, most likely resulting in a crash of the client application.

    Title
pgjdbc stores bytes of earlier messages in place of a large value on GSS-encrypted connections
    Summary
pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, versions 42.7.4 and 42.7.5 can send the previous contents of the GSS send buffer in place of the first part of a value on a connection with GSS encryption (gssEncMode=prefer or require), and the server stores the value without an error. The buffer is 16320 bytes with MIT Kerberos. The stored value then holds bytes of the messages the driver sent just before it on the same connection, such as the statement's SQL text, its other parameters, and earlier rows of the same batch, instead of the bytes the application supplied. Values at least as long as the buffer are affected when the driver writes them from a byte array: bind parameters set with setString, setBytes, or a ByteStreamWriter, CopyIn.writeToCopy, and LargeObject.write. Most such writes fail with an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException instead. The default, gssEncMode=allow, does not start GSS encryption, and connections without GSS encryption are not affected. Versions 42.7.3 and earlier are not affected, and 42.7.6 fixes the problem.

"value": "pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, versions 42.7.4 and 42.7.5 can send the previous contents of the GSS send buffer in place of the first part of a value on a connection with GSS encryption (gssEncMode=prefer or require), and the server stores the value without an error. The buffer is 16320 bytes with MIT Kerberos. The stored value then holds bytes of the messages the driver sent just before it on the same connection, such as the statement\u0027s SQL text, its other parameters, and earlier rows of the same batch, instead of the bytes the application supplied. Versions 42.7.3 and earlier are not affected, and 42.7.6 fixes the problem."

    Title
Gimp: gimp: heap buffer overflow in hot color filter on oversized image
    Summary
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s Hot color filter plug-in. For very large images, a pixel buffer is allocated using overflowing 32-bit width * height (and related) arithmetic while the filter’s pixel access path uses the true image size, after integer overflow in the allocation size

Gimp: gimp: heap buffer overflow in raw data export on oversized image dimensions
    Summary
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s raw data export plug-in. When exporting very large images, g_malloc() sizing based on overflowing width * height * bytes-per-pixel can allocate far less memory than GEGL reads or writes during export, following integer overflow

    Title
Gimp: gimp: heap buffer overflow in pcx export on oversized image dimensions
    Summary
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s PCX export plug-in. For images with extremely large width and height, buffer allocation uses overflowing 32-bit width * height arithmetic while subsequent GEGL operations use the full extent, after integer overflow in size calculation

    CVE-2026-107174 (GCVE-0-2026-107174)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-07 14:34 – Updated: 2026-10-07 16:17
    VLAI
    Title
Source-to-image: source-to-image: security boundary bypass via absolute symbolic link extraction
    Summary
A flaw was found in source-to-image. When unpacking archive files, the application fails to properly sanitize symbolic links pointing to absolute file paths. An attacker who supplies a malicious builder image can exploit this vulnerability by embedding links pointing outside the extraction directory. This allows the attacker to bypass sandbox boundaries, potentially leading to unauthorized information disclosure or file modification on the host system.

    CVE-2026-107167 (GCVE-0-2026-107167)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-07 14:34 – Updated: 2026-10-07 17:04
    VLAI
    Title
    M17n-lib: heap use-after-free write in re_init_ic()
    Summary
A flaw was found in m17n-lib. A user providing specially crafted text input can trigger a heap use-after-free condition during input-method state transitions. Under specific conditions, the library frees an internal input context object but subsequently attempts to write to that freed memory. This issue can cause applications relying on the library to crash, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS), or potentially allow arbitrary code execution.

    CVE-2026-106064 (GCVE-0-2026-106064)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-07 14:34 – Updated: 2026-10-07 19:25
    VLAI
    Title
Gimp: gimp: heap buffer overflow in gif export on oversized image dimensions
    Summary
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s GIF export plug-in. Exporting an image with very large width and height can cause 32-bit overflow when computing the pixel buffer size. The plug-in allocates a buffer based on the wrapped value while GEGL writes using the true image extent, rooted in integer overflow

    Title
M17n-lib: null dereference in minput_open_im() after failed m17n_init()
    Summary
A flaw was found in m17n-lib. A partial failure during library initialization can leave an internal driver pointer uninitialized. Under specific error conditions, such as system resource exhaustion or database corruption, an application attempting to open an input method dereferences this null pointer without proper validation. This issue causes the application to crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).

    Title
Rubygem-smart_proxy_dynflow: task update and done callbacks accept unauthenticated requests
    Summary
Missing authentication has been found in remote-execution task updates in the smart_proxy_dynflow package. The progress and completion callbacks accept a report when the one-time token is missing. A network attacker or user must already know the identifier of a running job. This applies when remote execution is set to pull or pull-mqtt mode. They can send their own job output and mark the job as a success or a failure. The job is then recorded with that result.

    CVE-2026-107121 (GCVE-0-2026-107121)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-07 07:42 – Updated: 2026-10-07 17:05
    VLAI
    Title
Keycloak-services: keycloak-services: smtp starttls plaintext credential and message downgrade
    Summary
A flaw was found in the SMTP email configuration handling of the keycloak-services component. When the STARTTLS option is enabled, Keycloak fails to strictly enforce an encrypted connection, allowing it to fall back to unencrypted communication if the encryption request is tampered with. An attacker who can intercept network traffic can exploit this to capture sensitive email credentials and message content in plain text.

    Title
Pulp-rpm: distribution tree publish creates directories from .treeinfo ids
    Summary
A flaw was found in pulp-rpm when it publishes a distribution tree. Addon and variant ids from .treeinfo are used as directory names. A user who can sync or upload that tree can make the publish task create a new directory outside the task work area and write that tree's repository metadata and packages there, as the Pulp worker user. An existing file or directory is not replaced. The flaw does not disclose data and does not stop the service.

    CVE-2026-103869 (GCVE-0-2026-103869)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-07 05:46 – Updated: 2026-10-07 18:35
    VLAI
    Title
Pulp-ansible: bearer tokens are reused across remotes in a worker
    Summary
A flaw was found in pulp-ansible's bearer-token refresh for collection remotes. The access token is kept in one module-level variable and reused for every token download in that worker. A user who can sync an Ansible remote that uses token refresh, and can point that remote at a server they control, receives an access token obtained for a different remote, and can reuse it at the service that issued it. Content stored in Pulp is not changed, and the service is not stopped.

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-07 05:46 – Updated: 2026-10-07 17:35
    VLAI
    Title
Pulp-container: registry credentials are reused across remotes in a worker
    Summary
A flaw was found in pulp-container when it authenticates to an upstream registry. Basic and bearer credentials from one remote are reused for later downloads in the same worker. A user who can sync a container remote, and can point that remote at a server they control, receives the username, password, or bearer token stored for a different remote, and can reuse that credential at the upstream registry. Content stored in Pulp is not changed, and the service is not stopped.

    CVE-2026-106061 (GCVE-0-2026-106061)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-07 02:36 – Updated: 2026-10-07 02:36
    VLAI
    Title
Gimp: gimp: heap buffer over-read in x cursor (xmc) thumbnail loader on crafted file
    Summary
A flaw was found in GIMP’s X cursor (XMC) thumbnail loader. When GIMP generates a thumbnail for a crafted XMC file, it allocates a pixel buffer using a width * height size computed in 32-bit signed arithmetic. If that product overflows, the allocation is smaller than the true image extent. A subsequent GEGL buffer read uses the unwrapped dimensions and performs an out-of-bounds read on the heap (CWE-125), after integer overflow in the size calculation (CWE-190). This can crash GIMP or corrupt process memory.

    Title
Candlepin: candlepin: broken object-level authorization via verifyauthorizationfilter multi-@verify hasaccess latching
    Summary
A flaw was found in Candlepin. The central authorization filter incorrectly grants access when any one of multiple @Verify-annotated parameters is accessible, instead of requiring access to every verified entity. A low-privilege authenticated attacker who can access the first referenced object can bypass authorization checks on subsequent objects. When target resource identifiers are known, this can enable unauthorized disclosure of consumer information and unauthorized modification of entitlements and related subscription resources, including across organizations.

    CVE-2026-80048 (GCVE-0-2026-80048)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-06 23:28 – Updated: 2026-10-07 19:31
    VLAI
    Title
Sssd: sssd-kcm: local denial of service via excessive memory preallocation
    Summary
A flaw was found in `sssd-kcm`. A local user or process able to connect to the `sssd-kcm` UNIX socket can exploit this vulnerability. By sending a large request length header and then stalling the connection, an attacker can cause the system to preallocate significant memory. This leads to memory exhaustion within the `sssd-kcm` responder, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for affected deployments.

    Title
Sssd: sssd: denial of service via race condition in autofs responder
    Summary
A flaw was found in SSSD. A local user can trigger a Denial of Service (DoS) by exploiting a race condition in the autofs responder between asynchronous enumeration completion and map invalidation. By repeatedly sending concurrent map enumeration and invalidation requests, an attacker can cause memory to leak, leading to excessive memory consumption that can disrupt or crash the autofs service.

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-06 20:14 – Updated: 2026-10-07 15:11
    VLAI
    Title
HDF5 heap buffer overflow in H5VM_array_fill via crafted fill-value metadata
    Summary
A heap-based buffer overflow in H5VM_array_fill() in src/H5VM.c in HDF5 before 2.2.0 lets a remote attacker cause an application crash and possibly execute arbitrary code with a crafted HDF5 file. When a dataset's unallocated chunks are read, H5D__fill_init() fills the fill-value buffer from datatype and dataspace metadata in the file. If that metadata is inconsistent with the buffer's allocated size, the write goes past the end of the buffer. The attacker can control the content written through the fill value stored in the file.

    CVE-2026-104046 (GCVE-0-2026-104046)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-06 20:03 – Updated: 2026-10-06 20:03
    VLAI
    Title
Sssd: sssd: denial of service via incomplete identity provider authentication requests
    Summary
A flaw was found in SSSD (System Security Services Daemon). When Identity Provider (IdP) authentication is enabled, pre-authentication requests retain state in memory without being cleared or timed out. A local attacker can repeatedly initiate authentication flows without completing them, causing unbounded memory consumption. This memory exhaustion can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS) by degrading or terminating SSSD authentication services.

    Title
Gimp: gimp: heap buffer overflow in dds loader on crafted directdraw surface file
    Summary
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s DirectDraw Surface (DDS) loader. When loading a crafted DDS image, buffer sizes derived from width, height, and pitch can be computed using 32-bit arithmetic that overflows. The allocated buffer is too small for the amount of pixel data written through GEGL (CWE-787), following integer overflow in size calculations (CWE-190). This may allow heap corruption and, in the worst case, arbitrary code execution in the context of the GIMP process.

    CVE-2026-101258 (GCVE-0-2026-101258)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-06 20:02 – Updated: 2026-10-07 17:07
    VLAI
    Title
Ghostscript: ghostscript: -dsafer sandbox bypass via type 5 shading oob write and procedure-stream use-after-free
    Summary
A flaw was found in Ghostscript. When Ghostscript renders a crafted PostScript or EPS document, it can bypass the -dSAFER sandbox and execute arbitrary shell commands in the context of the Ghostscript process. The issue chains memory corruption in document parsing with disabling of internal path access controls at runtime. An attacker can deliver the document directly or through formats that delegate rendering to Ghostscript (for example EPS import or print conversion workflows). Successful exploitation can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data accessible to the process running Ghostscript.

    CVE-2026-19029 (GCVE-0-2026-19029)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-06 20:01 – Updated: 2026-10-07 16:05
    VLAI
    Title
HDF5 scale-offset filter heap buffer over-read via crafted chunk
    Summary
A heap-based buffer over-read in H5Z__filter_scaleoffset() in src/H5Zscaleoffset.c in HDF5 through 2.2.0 lets an attacker cause a denial of service (application crash) with a crafted HDF5 file. When the stored minimum bits equal the full precision of the datatype, the decoder copies d_nelmts * size bytes from the compressed chunk without checking that the chunk holds that many bytes. Both values come from attacker-controlled scale-offset filter parameters in the dataset's filter pipeline message.

    Title
Gimp: gimp: heap buffer overflow in dicom export on oversized image dimensions
    Summary
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in GIMP’s DICOM export plug-in. When exporting an image with extremely large width and height, the export path allocates a buffer using a 32-bit width * height (and bytes-per-pixel) product that can overflow. GEGL then writes the full uncompressed extent into the undersized buffer (CWE-787), after integer overflow in the allocation size
