While some DoS flaws are classified as Moderate, \u201cMadeYouReset\u201d is Important because of the limited barriers (no specialized tooling or advanced scripting) to exploitation, which directly impacts service availability. The vulnerability arises from an implementation weakness in HTTP/2 stream reset handling \u2014 malformed client requests can trigger server-side resets without incrementing abuse counters, allowing an attacker to bypass built-in request throttling and overhead limits. Since these resets consume CPU and memory resources and can be generated at scale over a single TCP/TLS connection, a remote attacker could exhaust server capacity quickly, impacting all legitimate clients.",

By leveraging the /login-actions/restart endpoint\u2014which processes session handles without adequate CSRF protection or cookie ownership validation\u2014an attacker can reset the authentication flow state. This causes Single Sign-On (SSO) to authenticate the victim transparently upon clicking the link, allowing the attacker to hijack the required-action form without needing the victim\u0027s credentials. For Jackson 3.x, upgrade to 3.1.4 or later, or the first fixed release in the applicable 3.2.x stream. If upgrading is not immediately possible, do not expose the non-blocking parser to untrusted, incrementally streamed JSON. Where feasible, use a synchronous parser or buffer and enforce strict request-size, connection-timeout, and concurrency limits at the ingress layer. Apply the upgrade as soon as possible because ingress limits reduce exposure but do not correct the parser defect.",

Related by attack behaviour

Vulnerabilities whose description is nearest to this one in the vector space of the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-biencoder model. This is a similarity search over the bi-encoder space (plain cosine), not a classification, and it has no measured accuracy.
