RHSA-2026:93413
Vulnerability from csaf_redhat - Published: 2026-11-01 22:16 - Updated: 2026-11-02 16:24A flaw was found in the kernel. A local user could trigger a system crash, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS), due to improper handling of usercopy operations within the network socket error queue. This vulnerability arises when the kernel attempts to copy specific network buffer data to userspace without adequate validation, causing a hardened usercopy panic.

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel, specifically within the x86/CPU/AMD Zen2's op cache. This vulnerability arises from improper isolation of shared resources, which can lead to instruction corruption. The consequence of this flaw is that it may cause unexpected behavior or instability within the system.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's `i2c-stub` driver. A local user with access to the `/dev/i2c-*` device can exploit this vulnerability by issuing an I2C System Management Bus (SMBus) input/output control (ioctl) command with a specially crafted block transfer length. This invalid length can cause the driver to read or write beyond the allocated buffer, leading to a stack-out-of-bounds error and a system crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Multipath TCP (MPTCP) subsystem. A race condition in the `mptcp_pm_userspace_get_local_id` function allows a memory address entry to be freed while still being referenced. A local attacker could exploit this use-after-free vulnerability, potentially leading to a system crash (denial of service) or arbitrary code execution.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) over L2TP (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol) implementation. An unprivileged user can exploit a Use-After-Free (UAF) vulnerability, where the system attempts to use memory after it has been freed. This can lead to memory corruption, potentially allowing an attacker to cause system instability or execute arbitrary code.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Transparent Inter-Process Communication (TIPC) version 2 component. This vulnerability allows a local unprivileged attacker to bypass administrative permission checks when performing network link operations. Consequently, the attacker can modify critical TIPC network configurations, such as network and node identities, manage key material, and control UDP bearers. This unauthorized access could lead to significant disruption or compromise of network communication.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Multipath TCP (mptcp) implementation. A remote attacker could send specially crafted Data Sink Selection (DSS) options with an unexpected size. This could lead to data inconsistency or the access of uninitialized data, potentially resulting in information disclosure or a denial of service.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel. A race condition exists where a seccomp filter, intended to restrict system calls, can be bypassed by an unprivileged process. This occurs when a thread is stopped for tracing (ptrace) and another thread attempts to apply a seccomp filter with the `SECCOMP_FILTER_FLAG_TSYNC` flag. Due to a caching issue, the newly installed filter is not properly enforced, allowing the unprivileged process to execute system calls that should have been blocked, potentially leading to a security bypass.
A flaw was found in the Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) subsystem. This vulnerability occurs when KVM reuses a Virtual Processor ID (VPID) without properly flushing Translation Lookaside Buffer (TLB) entries. A malicious guest virtual machine (VM) could potentially exploit this to access stale TLB entries from a previous VM or virtual CPU, leading to information disclosure or privilege escalation.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's iSCSI target component. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted login payload to an iSCSI portal configured for Challenge-Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP). This can lead to an out-of-bounds read, potentially resulting in information disclosure from adjacent memory or a denial of service.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's SMB (Server Message Block) client subsystem. When a user lists files in a directory on a mounted share, a malicious SMB server can return a crafted directory entry with an oversized filename length. Because the client fails to verify that the filename remains within the response buffer, the kernel reads beyond the allocated memory boundaries, leading to a system crash and denial of service (DoS) or potential disclosure of sensitive memory contents.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's virtio-fs file system driver. When queue initialization fails—such as when a device advertises more request queues than supported—the driver fails to clear memory pointers after releasing them, resulting in a double-free condition during error cleanup. An attacker capable of presenting a malformed virtio-fs device can exploit this flaw to cause memory corruption, leading to a system crash and Denial of Service (DoS).
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's encrypted keys subsystem. An integer overflow occurs during memory size calculations for key data, resulting in an undersized buffer allocation. A local user can exploit this issue by supplying crafted key data to trigger an out-of-bounds write to kernel memory. This flaw can lead to a system crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS), or potentially allow privilege escalation.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's IPsec (XFRM) networking subsystem. A race condition occurs when creating policy bundles while a network device is concurrently removed, leading to a use-after-free condition where the kernel accesses already-freed device memory. A local attacker can exploit this flaw to potentially escalate privileges or cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by crashing the system.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's IPv4 networking subsystem. A race condition occurs during concurrent processing of retransmitted Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) connection requests or socket migrations, allowing socket options to be freed while still in use. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending specially timed network requests, triggering a use-after-free condition. This could results in system crash leading to a Denial of Service (DoS), memory corruption, or remote code execution.
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's NVMe over Fabrics (NVMe-oF) target authentication component. A remote attacker connecting to the NVMe target service can exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted authentication request, causing a Denial of Service (DoS) through a system crash or potential memory corruption. This issue occurs due to an incorrect buffer size calculation during authentication challenge processing, which allows an undersized buffer to bypass validation checks and results in an out-of-bounds write.
