If protection\ninformation is generated, that portion of the integrity buffer is\nalready initialized. The integrity data is also zeroed if PI generation\nis disabled via sysfs or the PI tuple size is 0. However, this misses\nthe case where PI is generated and the PI tuple size is nonzero, but the\nmetadata size is larger than the PI tuple. In this case, the remainder\n(\"opaque\") of the metadata is left uninitialized.\nGeneralize the BLK_INTEGRITY_CSUM_NONE check to cover any case when the\nmetadata is larger than just the PI tuple."

          "value": "In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:\n\nnetfilter: bridge: make ebt_snat ARP rewrite writable\n\nThe ebtables SNAT target keeps the Ethernet source address rewrite\nbehind skb_ensure_writable(skb, 0).  This is intentional: at the bridge\nebtables hooks the Ethernet header is addressed through\nskb_mac_header()/eth_hdr(), while skb-\u003edata points at the Ethernet\npayload.  Asking skb_ensure_writable() for ETH_HLEN bytes would check\nthe payload, not the Ethernet header, and would reintroduce the small\npacket regression fixed by commit 63137bc5882a.\n\nHowever, the optional ARP sender hardware address rewrite is different.\nIt writes through skb_store_bits() at an offset relative to skb-\u003edata:\n\n        skb_store_bits(skb, sizeof(struct arphdr), info-\u003emac, ETH_ALEN)\n\nskb_header_pointer() only safely reads the ARP header; it does not make\nthe later sender hardware address range writable.  If that range is\nstill held in a nonlinear skb fragment backed by a splice-imported file\npage, skb_store_bits() maps the frag page and copies the new MAC address\ndirectly into it.\n\nEnsure the ARP SHA range is writable before reading the ARP header and\nbefore calling skb_store_bits()."

They build a\nscatterlist with sg_init_one() pointing into the skb\u0027s linear data area\nand then pass the same scatterlist as both src and dst to the crypto API\n(e.g. crypto_skcipher_encrypt/decrypt, crypto_aead_encrypt/decrypt).\n\nOn the RX path, __ieee802154_rx_handle_packet() clones the received skb\nbefore handing it to each subscriber via ieee802154_subif_frame().  The\ncloned skb shares the same underlying data buffer via reference\ncounting.  When llsec_do_decrypt() subsequently modifies this shared\nbuffer in place, it corrupts data that other clones -- potentially\nbelonging to other sockets or subsystems -- still reference.\n\nOn the TX path, similar data sharing can occur when an skb\u0027s head has\nbeen cloned (skb_cloned() returns true).\n\nThe fix is to call skb_cow_data() before performing any in-place crypto\noperation.  skb_cow_data() ensures that the skb\u0027s data area is not\nshared: if the skb head is cloned or the data spans multiple fragments,\nit copies the data into a private buffer that can be safely modified in\nplace.  This is the same pattern used by:\n\n  - ESP (net/ipv4/esp4.c, net/ipv6/esp6.c)\n  - MACsec (drivers/net/macsec.c)\n  - WireGuard (drivers/net/wireguard/receive.c)\n  - TIPC (net/tipc/crypto.c)\n\nWithout this guard, in-place crypto on shared skb data leads to:\n  - Silent data corruption of other skb clones\n  - Use-after-free when the crypto API scatterwalk writes through a\n    page that has already been freed by another clone\u0027s kfree_skb()\n  - Kernel crashes under concurrent 802.15.4 traffic with security\n    enabled (KASAN/KMSAN reports slab-use-after-free)\n\nFound by 0sec (https://0sec.ai) using automated source analysis."

The DEL-IP for L passes the D8 check and\ncalls sctp_assoc_rm_peer() on the transport that asconf-\u003etransport still\npoints at, freeing it (RCU-deferred). The following wildcard DEL-IP then\nreuses the now-dangling asconf-\u003etransport in sctp_assoc_set_primary() and\nsctp_assoc_del_nonprimary_peers(): set_primary() dereferences the freed\ntransport (-\u003eipaddr, -\u003estate) and plants the dangling pointer into\nasoc-\u003epeer.primary_path / active_path, and del_nonprimary_peers(), keeping\nonly the pointer that is no longer on the list, removes every real\ntransport, leaving the association with a transport_count of 0 and\nprimary_path/active_path pointing at freed memory.\n\nReject a DEL-IP that targets the transport the ASCONF is being processed\nagainst, mirroring the existing source-address guard, so the wildcard\nbranch can never reuse a freed transport."
