Vulnerability from csaf_sick - Published: 2026-10-14 10:41 - Updated: 2026-10-14 10:41
Summary
Fast-xml-parser vulnerabilities affect Sentio Creator Extension 'Device Manager'
Notes
summary: Multiple vulnerabilities in the third-party component fast-xml-parser affect the Device Manager Extension in Sentio Creator. The extension is maintained and updated independently from SICK Sentio Creator, but successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities could impact the security of the Sentio Creator. SICK strongly recommends upgrading the extension to remediate the identified issues.
General Security Measures: As general security measures, SICK recommends minimizing network exposure of the devices, restricting network access and following recommended security practices in order to run the devices in a protected IT environment.
Vulnerability Classification: SICK performs vulnerability classification by using the CVSS scoring system (*CVSS v3.1*). The environmental score is dependent on the customer’s environment and can affect the overall CVSS score. SICK recommends that customers individually evaluate the environmental score to achieve final scoring.
CWE-120 - Buffer Copy without Checking Size of Input ('Classic Buffer Overflow')
