Cisco Integrated Management Controller Command Injection and Remote Code Execution Vulnerabilities
Notes
Summary: Multiple vulnerabilities in the web-based management interface of Cisco Integrated Management Controller (IMC) could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary code or commands on the underlying operating system of an affected system and elevate privileges to root.
For more information about these vulnerabilities, see the Details ["#details"] section of this advisory.
Cisco has released software updates that address these vulnerabilities. There are no workarounds that address these vulnerabilities.

Details: The vulnerabilities are not dependent on one another. Exploitation of one of the vulnerabilities is not required to exploit another vulnerability. In addition, a software release that is affected by one of the vulnerabilities may not be affected by the other vulnerabilities.
Details about the vulnerabilities are as follows:
CVE-2026-20094: Cisco IMC Command Injection Vulnerability
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco IMC could allow an authenticated, remote attacker with read-only privileges to perform command injection attacks on an affected system and execute arbitrary commands as the root user.
This vulnerability is due to improper validation of user-supplied input. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted commands to the web-based management interface of the affected software. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system as the root user.
Cisco has released software updates that address this vulnerability. There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.
Bug ID(s): CSCwr60021 ["https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCwr60021"], CSCws00363 ["https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCws00363"]
CVE ID: CVE-2026-20094
Security Impact Rating (SIR): High
CVSS Base Score: 8.8
CVSS Vector: CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
CVE-2026-20095 and CVE-2026-20096: Cisco IMC Command Injection Vulnerabilities
Two vulnerabilities in the web-based management interface of Cisco IMC could allow an authenticated, remote attacker with admin-level privileges to perform command injection attacks on an affected system and execute arbitrary commands as the root user.
These vulnerabilities are due to improper validation of user-supplied input. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by sending crafted commands to the web-based management interface of the affected software. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system as the root user.
Cisco has assigned these vulnerabilities a Security Impact Rating (SIR) of High rather than Medium as the score indicates because additional security implications could occur once the attacker has become root.
Cisco has released software updates that address these vulnerabilities. There are no workarounds that address these vulnerabilities.

CVE-2026-20097: Cisco IMC Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco IMC could allow an authenticated, remote attacker with admin-level privileges to execute arbitrary code as the root user.
This vulnerability is due to improper validation of user-supplied input to the web-based management interface. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted HTTP requests to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the underlying operating system as the root user.
Cisco has assigned this vulnerability a SIR of High rather than Medium as the score indicates because additional security implications could occur when the attacker becomes root.
Cisco has released software updates that address this vulnerability. There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.

Workarounds: There are no workarounds that address these vulnerabilities.
Fixed Software: Cisco considers any workarounds and mitigations (if applicable) to be temporary solutions until an upgrade to a fixed software release is available. To fully remediate these vulnerabilities and avoid future exposure as described in this advisory, Cisco strongly recommends that customers upgrade to the fixed software indicated in this advisory.
Fixed Releases
In the following tables, the left column lists Cisco software releases. The right column indicates whether a release is affected by the vulnerabilities that are described in this advisory and the first release that includes the fix for these vulnerabilities. Customers are advised to upgrade to an appropriate fixed software release ["https://sec.cloudapps.cisco.com/security/center/resources/security_vulnerability_policy.html#fixes"] as indicated in this section.
