    CVE-2026-77371 (GCVE-0-2026-77371)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-10-14 18:02 – Updated: 2026-10-14 19:36

    Title
Redash: DuckDB query runner allows arbitrary file read/write via unrestricted external access
    Summary
Redash is a package for data visualization and sharing. From 26.0.0 until 26.9.0, the DuckDB query runner's _connect() path in redash/query_runner/duckdb.py created connections with enable_external_access left at its default value of true. A user with query access to an administrator-created DuckDB data source could use native file-reading functions to retrieve files readable by the Redash process or use COPY TO to write files with that process's privileges. Reading application secrets such as REDASH_COOKIE_SECRET or REDASH_SECRET_KEY could also enable forged sessions and authentication bypass. This issue is fixed in version 26.9.0.

    Title
Redash: JSON data source query URL can bypass base URL restriction
    Summary
Redash is a package for data visualization and sharing. From 10.0.0 until 26.9.0, the JSON data source query runner in redash/query_runner/json_ds.py used _get_all_results() to combine its configured base_url with a user-supplied query URL by using urljoin. An absolute query URL replaced the configured base URL instead of remaining under it, allowing a user with execute_query permission to direct a server-side request to an arbitrary external origin. When HTTP Basic Auth was configured for the data source, the request also forwarded those credentials to the selected origin. Private and internal address access remained constrained when REDASH_ENFORCE_PRIVATE_IP_BLOCK was enabled. This issue is fixed in version 26.9.0.

    Title
Redash: SQL Injection via Query Results parameterized query substitution
    Summary
Redash is a package for data visualization and sharing. From versions after 8.0.0 until 26.9.0, the Query Results query runner in redash/query_runner/query_results.py accepts param_query_N_{key=value} parameters and passed attacker-controlled values to replace_query_parameters() for raw substitution into a referenced query's SQL. This path bypassed the ParameterizedQuery schema validation used by normal query execution and omitted the is_safe permission check. An authenticated user with at least view-only access to both the Query Results data source and the referenced data source could therefore inject SQL through text parameters and execute it with the referenced data source's privileges. This path bypassed the ParameterizedQuery schema validation used by normal query execution and omitted the is_safe permission check. Title
Redash: Open redirect vulnerability in post-login redirect handling
    Summary
Redash is a package for data visualization and sharing. From 5.0.2 to 26.3.0, the get_next_path() function in Redash's authentication module stripped the scheme and netloc from user-supplied next parameters but did not normalize multiple leading slashes, allowing a crafted login URL such as /login?next=////evil.com to redirect users to an external attacker-controlled site after authentication.

    CVE-2021-43780 (GCVE-0-2021-43780)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2021-11-23 23:55 – Updated: 2024-08-04 04:03
    VLAI
    Title
Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in Redash
    Summary
Redash is a package for data visualization and sharing. In versions 10.0 and priorm the implementation of URL-loading data sources like JSON, CSV, or Excel is vulnerable to advanced methods of Server Side Request Forgery (SSRF). These vulnerabilities are only exploitable on installations where a URL-loading data source is enabled. As of time of publication, the `master` and `release/10.x.x` branches address this by applying the Advocate library for making http requests instead of the requests library directly. Users should upgrade to version 10.0.1 to receive this patch. There are a few workarounds for mitigating the vulnerability without upgrading. One can disable the vulnerable data sources entirely, by adding the following env variable to one's configuration, making them unavailable inside the webapp. One can switch any data source of certain types (viewable in the GitHub Security Advisory) to be `View Only` for all groups on the Settings > Groups > Data Sources screen. For users unable to update an admin may modify Redash's configuration through environment variables to mitigate this issue. Depending on the version of Redash, an admin may also need to run a CLI command to re-encrypt some fields in the database. The `master` and `release/10.x.x` branches as of time of publication have removed the default value for `REDASH_COOKIE_SECRET`. All future releases will also require this to be set explicitly. For existing installations, one will need to ensure that explicit values are set for the `REDASH_COOKIE_SECRET` and `REDASH_SECRET_KEY `variables.

"value": "Redash is a package for data visualization and sharing. One can disable the vulnerable data sources entirely, by adding the following env variable to one\u0027s configuration, making them unavailable inside the webapp. One can switch any data source of certain types (viewable in the GitHub Security Advisory) to be `View Only` for all groups on the Settings \u003e Groups \u003e Data Sources screen. For users unable to update an admin may modify Redash\u0027s configuration through environment variables to mitigate this issue. For existing installations, one will need to ensure that explicit values are set for the `REDASH_COOKIE_SECRET` and `REDASH_SECRET_KEY `variables."

    CVE-2021-43777 (GCVE-0-2021-43777)

    Title
Vulnerability in Redash OAuth2 flows due to misuse of state field (should be a nonce)
    Summary
Redash is a package for data visualization and sharing. In Redash version 10.0 and prior, the implementation of Google Login (via OAuth) incorrectly uses the `state` parameter to pass the next URL to redirect the user to after login. The `state` parameter should be used for a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) token, not a static and easily predicted value. This vulnerability does not affect users who do not use Google Login for their instance of Redash. A patch in the `master` and `release/10.x.x` branches addresses this by replacing `Flask-Oauthlib` with `Authlib` which automatically provides and validates a CSRF token for the state variable. The new implementation stores the next URL on the user session object. As a workaround, one may disable Google Login to mitigate the vulnerability.

As a workaround, one may disable Google Login to mitigate the vulnerability."

    CVE-2021-41192 (GCVE-0-2021-41192)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2021-11-23 23:50 – Updated: 2024-08-04 03:08
    VLAI
    Title
    Insecure default configuration
    Summary
Redash is a package for data visualization and sharing. If an admin sets up Redash versions 10.0.0 and prior without explicitly specifying the `REDASH_COOKIE_SECRET` or `REDASH_SECRET_KEY` environment variables, a default value is used for both that is the same across all installations. In such cases, the instance is vulnerable to attackers being able to forge sessions using the known default value. This issue only affects installations where the `REDASH_COOKIE_SECRET or REDASH_SECRET_KEY` environment variables have not been explicitly set. This issue does not affect users of the official Redash cloud images, Redash's Digital Ocean marketplace droplets, or the scripts in the `getredash/setup` repository. These instances automatically generate unique secret keys during installation. One can verify whether one's instance is affected by checking the value of the `REDASH_COOKIE_SECRET` environment variable. If it is `c292a0a3aa32397cdb050e233733900f`, should follow the steps to secure the instance, outlined in the GitHub Security Advisory.

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-14 18:00 – Updated: 2026-10-14 19:35

This issue is fixed in version 26.9.0.

    CVE-2021-41192 (GCVE-0-2021-41192)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2021-11-23 23:50 – Updated: 2024-08-04 03:08
    VLAI

This issue does not affect users of the official Redash cloud images, Redash\u0027s Digital Ocean marketplace droplets, or the scripts in the `getredash/setup` repository. These instances automatically generate unique secret keys during installation. One can verify whether one\u0027s instance is affected by checking the value of the `REDASH_COOKIE_SECRET` environment variable. If it is `c292a0a3aa32397cdb050e233733900f`, should follow the steps to secure the instance, outlined in the GitHub Security Advisory."

    CVE-2021-43777 (GCVE-0-2021-43777)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2021-11-23 23:30 – Updated: 2024-08-04 04:03
