Title
Dia: dia: stack buffer overflow in bus object via unvalidated handle count in project files
Summary
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the Dia diagram editor when processing Network Bus objects from Dia XML project files.
In objects/network/bus.c, bus_load() reads the number of bus handles from the file attribute "bus_handles" using attribute_num_data() without validating an upper bound:
bus->num_handles = attribute_num_data(attr);
When a bus handle is subsequently moved, bus_handle_moved() allocates two temporary arrays on the stack:
parallel = (real *)g_alloca(num_handles * sizeof(real));
perp = (real *)g_alloca(num_handles * sizeof(real));
Because num_handles is fully attacker-controlled via the project file, sufficiently large values (for example 262144 or higher) cause g_alloca() to consume more stack space than the default thread stack limit (typically 8 MB on Linux), resulting in stack overflow, SIGSEGV, and potential stack frame / return-address corruption.
An attacker can embed a Bus object with an excessive bus_handles count in a malicious .dia file. Exploitation requires the victim to open the file in Dia (file dialog, command line, or file association) and trigger handle manipulation (moving a bus handle), which exercises the vulnerable code path.
The identical g_alloca pattern is present in objects/Misc/tree.c (copied from bus.c) and is likely vulnerable to the same class of attack via Tree objects.
Affected versions: Dia 0.98.0 and earlier versions containing this code; issue confirmed on upstream master as of 2026-08-21.

Title
Gimp: unbounded stack vla and 21-byte stack over-read in pix (esm) loader
Summary
A flaw was found in the file-pix (ESM) plugin in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted PIX image file, the plugin allocates a Variable-Length Array (VLA) on the stack without proper bounds checking, causing an unbounded stack allocation followed by a 21-byte stack over-read. Title
Gimp: integer overflow in pcx loader (planes=4) leads to heap overflow on 32-bit
Summary
A flaw was found in the file-pcx plugin in GIMP, affecting 32-bit builds only. When processing a PCX image file, the plugin calculates memory allocation sizes based on the image dimensions and the number of color planes. If a crafted file sets the number of planes to 4 alongside sufficiently large dimensions, the calculation exceeds the 32-bit integer limit and overflows, resulting in an undersized heap-based buffer allocation. This integer overflow issue results in a heap-based buffer overflow when the plugin subsequently writes image data into the undersized buffer, causing memory corruption, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or a denial of service.

Title
Epiphany: address bar / host spoofing via userinfo in ephy_uri_get_decoded_host()
Summary
A flaw was found in Epiphany. An issue in how the browser reads web addresses allows attackers to fake the domain name shown in the address bar. If a user clicks a specially crafted link containing a colon (for example, [https://trusted.com:80@attacker.com/](https://trusted.com:80@attacker.com/)), the address bar and security menus will display the safe website (trusted.com) but it will actually load the attacker website (attacker.com) on the screen. This allows attackers to create convincing phishing pages to trick users into trusting a malicious site.

Title
Gnome-remote-desktop: gnome-remote-desktop system-mode rdp server missing connection throttling allows unauthenticated denial of service
Summary
A flaw was found in gnome-remote-desktop as shipped in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. When the daemon is running in system mode with RDP enabled, the incoming connection handler bypasses the connection throttler, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to open many parallel pre-authentication connections to the RDP listener. This can accumulate accepted sockets and pending routing-token operations until timeout, exhausting resources and preventing legitimate users from establishing RDP sessions. This issue does not affect the upstream version.

When applying a decompressed mask during ICNS image processing, the plugin reads from the mask data buffer without verifying if the cursor exceeds the allocated resource size. If a crafted file contains a truncated mask resource, the icns_decompress function continues reading past the bounds of the buffer. This out-of-bounds read vulnerability results in information disclosure of heap contents, where memory contents are leaked as alpha channel pixel values, or a crash leading to a denial of service if unmapped memory is accessed.

Title
Gimp: integer overflow in file-fits plugin causes a heap-based buffer overflow on crafted fits images
Summary
A flaw was found in the file-fits plugin in GIMP. When processing a FITS image file, the plugin calculates memory allocation sizes using signed 32-bit integers for width and height. If a crafted file sets both values to large values, their product exceeds 2^31 and overflows, resulting in an undersized heap-based buffer allocation. This integer overflow issue results in a heap-based buffer overflow when cfitsio subsequently writes a full row of pixels in the buffer, causing memory corruption, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or a denial of service.

Title
Gimp: signed integer overflow in file-sgi (sgi-lib) causes the plugin to crash on rle sgi images
Summary
A flaw was found in the file-sgi plugin in GIMP. When processing an RLE-compressed SGI image, the plugin allocates memory for a row table. The image header dimensions (ysize and zsize) are read as 16-bit unsigned integers. If a crafted file sets both dimensions to their maximum value (65535), the multiplication ysize * zsize overflows the standard 32-bit int boundary before being passed to calloc. This integer overflow issue results in undefined behavior, aborting the plugin and causing a denial of service.

Title
Libsoup: libsoup: proxy credentials leak to destination server via proxy-authorization header in connect tunnels
Summary
A flaw was found in libsoup. After a CONNECT tunnel is established through an HTTP proxy, libsoup incorrectly attaches the Proxy-Authorization header to subsequent HTTPS requests sent through that tunnel to the destination server. This allows the destination server to capture proxy credentials, leading to information disclosure.

Title
Libsoup: libsoup: http request smuggling via permissive chunk-size parsing in soup_body_input_stream_read_chunked()
Summary
A flaw was found in libsoup. The chunked transfer encoding parser uses a permissive parsing function for chunk sizes that silently accepts inputs violating RFC 9112, including leading whitespace, plus sign prefixes, and trailing invalid characters. When libsoup operates behind a strict frontend proxy, this parsing differential can be exploited to smuggle HTTP requests.

Libsoup: libsoup: heap buffer over-read via integer underflow in soup_filter_input_stream_read_until()
Summary
A flaw was found in libsoup. An unsigned integer underflow in the soup_filter_input_stream_read_until() function causes a heap buffer over-read when parsing multipart HTTP responses. A malicious HTTP server can exploit this by sending a crafted multipart response, potentially causing the client application to crash or disclose sensitive heap memory.

Title
Gdk-pixbuf: out-of-bounds read in ico parser
Summary
A flaw was found in gdk-pixbuf. When parsing a specially crafted ICO file with pixel values that exceed the defined palette range, an out-of-bounds read can occur due to improper bounds checking against the actual palette size. This vulnerability causes heap bytes to be interpreted as valid palette indices and rendered as RGB pixel values in the output image, allowing an attacker to extract heap content via the generated output, such as a thumbnail.

Title
Librest: weak random number generation in pkce implementation
Summary
A flaw was found in librest. The PKCE implementation for OAuth authorization uses the GRand function from the GLib API, a cryptographically insecure pseudo-random number generator. Because the generated "code verifier" lacks sufficient cryptographic entropy, a malicious actor can reverse-engineer the pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) seed to predict or reconstruct the code verifier string, allowing an attacker to bypass PKCE protections and successfully impersonate the client during the OAuth 2.0 authorization flow.

Libsoup: heap out-of-bounds read in libsoup due to integer truncation
Summary
A heap out-of-bounds read flaw was found in libsoup. When parsing multipart HTTP messages, an integer type mismatch between the caller and soup_headers_parse() can cause the length parameter to be incorrectly truncated, leading to a heap buffer over-read. A remote attacker could use this flaw to crash an application using libsoup or potentially disclose heap memory contents.

Title
Dia: dia: stack buffer overflow in bus object via unvalidated handle count in project files
Summary
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the Dia diagram editor when processing Network Bus objects from Dia XML project files.
In objects/network/bus.c, bus_load() reads the number of bus handles from the file attribute "bus_handles" using attribute_num_data() without validating an upper bound:
bus->num_handles = attribute_num_data(attr);
When a bus handle is subsequently moved, bus_handle_moved() allocates two temporary arrays on the stack:
parallel = (real *)g_alloca(num_handles * sizeof(real));
perp = (real *)g_alloca(num_handles * sizeof(real));

This can result in a denial of service due to stack exhaustion and a limited information disclosure of stack memory contents into an intermediate file.

Title
Gimp: out-of-bounds read in file-icns plugin causes information disclosure or crash on crafted icns images
Summary
A flaw was found in the file-icns plugin in GIMP.

Title
Libsoup: libsoup: heap buffer over-read via integer underflow in soup_filter_input_stream_read_until()
Summary
A flaw was found in libsoup. An unsigned integer underflow in the soup_filter_input_stream_read_until() function causes a heap buffer over-read when parsing multipart HTTP responses. A malicious HTTP server can exploit this by sending a crafted multipart response, potentially causing the client application to crash or disclose sensitive heap memory.

Title
Libsoup: heap out-of-bounds read in libsoup due to integer truncation
Summary
A heap out-of-bounds read flaw was found in libsoup. When parsing multipart HTTP messages, an integer type mismatch between the caller and soup_headers_parse() can cause the length parameter to be incorrectly truncated, leading to a heap buffer over-read. A remote attacker could use this flaw to crash an application using libsoup or potentially disclose heap memory contents.
