Title
Vikunja: Project duplication bypasses write-permission check on the target parent project
Summary
Vikunja is an open-source self-hosted task management platform. From 0.21.0 until 2.4.0, the project duplication operation in pkg/models/project_duplicate.go allows an authenticated user who can read a source project to place its duplicate beneath an arbitrary target parent project. ProjectDuplicate.CanCreate calls parent.CanCreate on an unhydrated Project containing only the body supplied parent_project_id instead of calling parent.CanWrite, so the target parent write-permission check is skipped. The ordinary project creation path enforces that permission, but PUT /api/v1/projects/{project}/duplicate does not, allowing attacker-owned content to be injected into another user or team project hierarchy. This issue is fixed in version 2.4.0.

Title
Traefik: Gateway HTTPRoute backendRef filters can leak backend context across routes sharing a Service:port
Summary
Traefik is an open source HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. From v3.7.0 prior to v3.7.6, Traefik's Kubernetes Gateway API provider may resolve two accepted HTTPRoutes that target the same backend Service:port but configure different backendRef filters to the same child service and apply only one route's filter set to all requests reaching that backend. In Gateway deployments where backendRef filters set security-sensitive headers, such as tenant identity, authorization context, or values the backend trusts, an attacker who can create an accepted HTTPRoute sharing the same backend Service:port may cause their route's filter context to be applied to another route's requests, potentially crossing namespace boundaries when a ReferenceGrant permits cross-namespace targeting. This issue is fixed in version v3.7.6.

Title
Traefik: Kubernetes Gateway crossProviderNamespaces bypass allows HTTPRoute outside the allowlist to expose internal Traefik services
Summary
Traefik is an HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. Prior to 3.6.21 and 3.7.5, there is a high severity vulnerability in Traefik's Kubernetes Gateway provider affecting the crossProviderNamespaces allowlist. For HTTPRoute rules that declare multiple (WRR) backendRefs, Traefik evaluates the allowlist against the target backendRef.namespace instead of the route's own namespace. As a result, an HTTPRoute created in a namespace that is not allow-listed can reference a cross-provider TraefikService such as api@internal, dashboard@internal or rest@internal by pointing backendRef.namespace at an allow-listed namespace covered by a Gateway API ReferenceGrant, exposing internal Traefik services on the data plane. Exploitation requires the ability to create an accepted HTTPRoute and a matching ReferenceGrant from an allow-listed namespace; it does not require any change to Traefik static configuration, RBAC, or the deployment itself. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.6.21 and 3.7.5.

Title
Lemmy: `CollectionAdd::Featured` does not check the post is in the community
Summary
Lemmy is a link aggregator and forum for the fediverse. From 0.19.18 until 0.19.19 and 1.0.0-alpha.20, a community moderator can feature or unfeature posts in other communities through federated CollectionAdd and CollectionRemove activities using CollectionType::Featured. After verify_mod_action authorizes the actor against self.community(), the receive handlers in crates/apub/activities/src/community/collection_add.rs and crates/apub/activities/src/community/collection_remove.rs dereference self.object as an ApubPost and update featured_community without verifying that post.community_id equals community.id. A moderator can therefore target an unrelated post owned by another community, push it into featured feeds and listings, or undo another community's legitimate curation decision. This issue is fixed in versions 0.19.19 and 1.0.0-alpha.20.

Title
goshs: File-based .goshs ACL authorization bypass via the ?bulk zip-download route (unauthenticated read; residual of CVE-2026-40189)
Summary
goshs is a feature-rich single-binary file server for red teamers and developers. Prior to 2.1.1, the httpserver/updown.go bulkDownload handler for ?bulk&file= ZIP downloads did not call findEffectiveACL or applyCustomAuth, allowing unauthenticated reads of files protected only by .goshs folder ACLs and block lists. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.1. This vulnerability exists due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2026-40189.

Title
OnionShare Receive mode writes uploaded files even when file uploads are disabled
Summary
OnionShare is an open source tool that lets you securely and anonymously share files, host websites, and chat with friends using the Tor network. Prior to 2.6.4, OnionShare CLI/Desktop does not enforce the Receive mode disable_files setting in cli/onionshare_cli/web/receive_mode.py, where ReceiveModeRequest._get_file_stream() writes multipart file[] data to disk despite the text-only setting. This issue is fixed in version 2.6.4.

Title
Hasura: Row-level authorization bypass on table computed fields
Summary
Hasura is an open-source product that provides users GraphQL or REST APIs. Prior to 2.49.2 and 2.45.5, a user can use a where clause on a table computed field (returning SETOF some_table) to infer row values that ought to be filtered for their role based on some_table's row-level permissions. While such rows cannot be returned directly, like predicates on strings for instance allow values to be brute forced efficiently with the where clause as an oracle. This issue is fixed in versions 2.49.2 and 2.45.5.

Title
ZITADEL Users Can Self-Verify Email/Phone via API
Summary
ZITADEL is an open source identity management platform. From 2.43.0 through 2.71.19, from 3.0.0 until 3.4.11, and from 4.0.0 until 4.15.1, the email and phone self-management API paths in internal/command/user_v2_email.go, internal/command/user_v2_phone.go, and internal/command/user_v2_human.go allowed users to request returned verification codes without the required permission, allowing users to claim ownership of email addresses or phone numbers they do not control and bypass email-based or phone-based security policies. This issue is fixed in versions 3.4.11 and 4.15.1.

Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • Divide the product into anonymous, normal, privileged, and administrative areas. Reduce the attack surface by carefully mapping roles with data and functionality. Use role-based access control (RBAC) [REF-229] to enforce the roles at the appropriate boundaries.
  • Note that this approach may not protect against horizontal authorization, i.e., it will not protect a user from attacking others with the same role.
Mitigation
Architecture and Design

Ensure that access control checks are performed related to the business logic. These checks may be different than the access control checks that are applied to more generic resources such as files, connections, processes, memory, and database records. For example, a database may restrict access for medical records to a specific database user, but each record might only be intended to be accessible to the patient and the patient's doctor [REF-7].

Mitigation MIT-4.4
Architecture and Design

Strategy: Libraries or Frameworks

  • Use a vetted library or framework that does not allow this weakness to occur or provides constructs that make this weakness easier to avoid.
  • For example, consider using authorization frameworks such as the JAAS Authorization Framework [REF-233] and the OWASP ESAPI Access Control feature [REF-45].
Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • For web applications, make sure that the access control mechanism is enforced correctly at the server side on every page. Users should not be able to access any unauthorized functionality or information by simply requesting direct access to that page.
  • One way to do this is to ensure that all pages containing sensitive information are not cached, and that all such pages restrict access to requests that are accompanied by an active and authenticated session token associated with a user who has the required permissions to access that page.
Mitigation
System Configuration Installation

Use the access control capabilities of your operating system and server environment and define your access control lists accordingly. Use a "default deny" policy when defining these ACLs.
