Summary
In OpenStack Neutron before 28.0.2, the subnetpool onboarding API does not verify ownership of the target subnets. An authenticated user can onboard subnets from another project's shared network into their own subnetpool, mutating the victim's subnet state and altering L3 routing and address scope behavior for victim routers.

Title
ZITADEL: Missing client_id binding in OIDC authorization code exchange and refresh token flows (RFC 6749 Section 4.1.3 violation)
Summary
ZITADEL is an open source identity management platform. Prior to 3.4.12 and 4.15.2, ZITADEL's OAuth2 and OIDC CodeExchange, RefreshToken, and device token flows fail to verify that the requesting client matches the client that initiated the authorization flow, allowing intercepted grants or refresh tokens to be exchanged under a different client. This issue is fixed in versions 3.4.12 and 4.15.2.

Title
Snipe-IT: Tenant Isolation Bypass in FMCS Floater Mode
Summary
Snipe-IT is an IT asset/license management system. Prior to 8.6.3, a company-scoped user in FMCS floater mode can access users whose company_id is null because broad API queries and bulk web actions do not consistently apply isCurrentUserHasAccess. The /api/v1/users and /api/v1/users/{id}/licenses endpoints can expose personal data and assigned licenses, /users/bulkeditsave can modify out-of-scope profiles, and /users/merge can soft-delete users and transfer assigned assets. This issue is fixed in version 8.6.3.

Title
9router: Unauthenticated LLM proxy access via /codex rewrite authorization bypass
Summary
9Router is an AI router & token saver. Prior to 0.5.2, 9router protects /v1, /v1beta, /api/v1, and /api/v1beta in src/dashboardGuard.js but omits /codex before next.config.mjs rewrites /codex/* to /api/v1/responses. A remote unauthenticated attacker can send requests to /codex/* to bypass the API-key gate and cause the server to make upstream provider calls using operator-stored LLM provider credentials. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.2.

Title
n8n-MCP: Incorrect authorization can expose default-scope workflow version backups in multi-tenant HTTP mode
Summary
n8n-MCP is an MCP server that provides AI assistants access to n8n node documentation, properties, and operations. Prior to 2.57.4, multi-tenant HTTP mode with ENABLE_MULTI_TENANT=true could allow an authenticated tenant to access default-scope workflow_versions backups instead of being confined to the tenant scope, exposing or deleting workflow-version backups from prior single-tenant deployments or migrations. This issue is fixed in version 2.57.4.

Avo: Missing Authorization in Avo Association Attach Endpoint Allows Unauthorized Relationship Manipulation and Privilege Escalation
Summary
Avo is a framework to create admin panels for Ruby on Rails apps. Prior to 3.32.1 and 4.0.0.beta.51, Avo's association attach workflow checks attach_<association>? in the UI and GET /resources/:resource/:id/:related/new path, but the actual write endpoint, POST /resources/:resource/:id/:related, does not run the same authorization check before mutating the association through Avo::AssociationsController#create. An authenticated low-privileged Avo user can bypass hidden or disabled attach controls and directly attach related records to a parent record by sending a crafted POST request, which can lead to privilege escalation and cross-tenant data exposure where associations represent authorization-bearing relationships. This issue is fixed in versions 3.32.1 and 4.0.0.beta.51.

Title
Cloudreve: OAuth Admin.Read scope can update OneDrive storage policy credentials
Summary
Cloudreve is a self-hosted file management and sharing system. Prior to 4.17.0, POST /api/v4/admin/policy/oauth/signin requires only Admin.Read even though GetOauthRedirectService persists caller-supplied OneDrive secret and app_id values, allowing an OAuth token without Admin.Write to modify storage policy credentials. The route is inside the admin group that requires Admin.Read, but it does not add the local Admin.Write guard used by sibling policy mutation routes. Its handler persists attacker-supplied secret and app_id values into the selected OneDrive storage policy before returning an OAuth URL. This issue is fixed in version 4.17.0.

Title
Cloudreve: Broken access control in file event stream leaks activity events for unshared siblings to single-file share recipients
Summary
Cloudreve is a self-hosted file management and sharing system. Prior to 4.17.0, a single-file share event-stream subscription resolves the share root to the owner’s parent folder and subscribes to that folder topic, allowing an authenticated share recipient to receive names, paths, rename targets, event types, and hashed identifiers for unshared sibling files and folders. This issue is fixed in version 4.17.0.

Title
Piccolo Admin: Privilege escalation - admin to superuser via session-token disclosure in GET /api/tables/sessions/.
Summary
Piccolo Admin is an admin interface and content management system for Python, built on top of Piccolo. Prior to 1.14.0, piccolo_admin/endpoints.py uses superuser_validators to block PUT, PATCH, DELETE, and POST requests by non-superusers but permits GET requests to configured user and session tables, while piccolo_api/session_auth/tables.py exposes SessionsBase.token because the token column is not secret. In deployments that add the Sessions and User tables to create_admin, a non-superuser administrator can call GET /api/tables/sessions/, obtain another user's live session token, replay it as the Cookie id value to impersonate a superuser, and permanently set superuser to true on the attacker's own row. This issue is fixed in version 1.14.0.

Title
Snipe-IT: Incorrect permission for legacy license checkin API
Summary
Snipe-IT is an IT asset/license management system. Prior to 8.6.2, the legacy single-seat license checkin flow authorizes the action with the checkout permission instead of the checkin permission, allowing a user who can assign licenses but not unassign them to directly access the old checkin endpoint and reclaim a license seat assigned to another user or asset. This issue is fixed in version 8.6.2.

Architecture and Design
  • Divide the product into anonymous, normal, privileged, and administrative areas. Reduce the attack surface by carefully mapping roles with data and functionality. Use role-based access control (RBAC) [REF-229] to enforce the roles at the appropriate boundaries.
  • Note that this approach may not protect against horizontal authorization, i.e., it will not protect a user from attacking others with the same role.

Ensure that access control checks are performed related to the business logic. These checks may be different than the access control checks that are applied to more generic resources such as files, connections, processes, memory, and database records. For example, a database may restrict access for medical records to a specific database user, but each record might only be intended to be accessible to the patient and the patient's doctor [REF-7].

Strategy: Libraries or Frameworks

  • Use a vetted library or framework that does not allow this weakness to occur or provides constructs that make this weakness easier to avoid.
  • For example, consider using authorization frameworks such as the JAAS Authorization Framework [REF-233] and the OWASP ESAPI Access Control feature [REF-45].
Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • For web applications, make sure that the access control mechanism is enforced correctly at the server side on every page. Users should not be able to access any unauthorized functionality or information by simply requesting direct access to that page.
  • One way to do this is to ensure that all pages containing sensitive information are not cached, and that all such pages restrict access to requests that are accompanied by an active and authenticated session token associated with a user who has the required permissions to access that page.

Use the access control capabilities of your operating system and server environment and define your access control lists accordingly. Use a "default deny" policy when defining these ACLs.
