Vulnerability from variot - Updated: 2025-04-11 22:54Untrusted search path vulnerability in Apple iTunes before 9.1, when running on Windows 7, Vista, and XP, allows local users and possibly remote attackers to gain privileges via a Trojan horse DLL in the current working directory. Apple iTunes is prone to a vulnerability that lets attackers execute arbitrary code. An attacker can exploit this issue by enticing a legitimate user into using iTunes to open a media file from a network share location that contains a specially crafted Dynamic Linked Library (DLL) file. This issue affects iTunes 9 running on Microsoft Windows platforms. iTunes is an Apple player software for iPod and mp3 files
