Vulnerability from variot - Updated: 2025-04-10 23:01my.activation.php3 in F5 FirePass 5.4 through 5.5.1 and 6.0 displays different error messages for failed login attempts with a valid username than for those with an invalid username, which allows remote attackers to confirm the validity of an LDAP account. F5 Firepass is prone to multiple input-validation vulnerabilities because the device fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input. These issues include information-disclosure, security bypass, and cross-site scripting vulnerabilities. An attacker can exploit these issues to bypass security restrictions, to view sensitive information, and to steal cookie-based authentication credentials. This may allow the attacker to compromise the application and the underlying system; other attacks are also possible
