RUSTSEC-2020-0159

Vulnerability from osv_rustsec – Published: 2020-11-10 12:00 – Updated: 2022-08-04 19:52 – Source website
VLAI
Summary
Potential segfault in `localtime_r` invocations
Details

Impact

Unix-like operating systems may segfault due to dereferencing a dangling pointer in specific circumstances. This requires an environment variable to be set in a different thread than the affected functions. This may occur without the user's knowledge, notably in a third-party library.

Workarounds

No workarounds are known.

Related by attack behaviour

Vulnerabilities whose description is nearest to this one in the vector space of the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-biencoder model. This is a similarity search over the bi-encoder space (plain cosine), not a classification, and it has no measured accuracy.
