"text": "A flaw was found in GStreamer\u0027s WavPack audio decoder in gst-plugins-good. When processing a specially crafted WavPack file, an integer overflow in the buffer size calculation (4 * block_samples * channels) in gst_wavpack_dec_handle_frame() causes a very small heap allocation. The WavPack library then writes decoded audio samples far beyond the allocated buffer, resulting in heap memory corruption. This affects both 32-bit and 64-bit systems since the arithmetic is performed in 32-bit integers before promotion to the allocation size type. A remote attacker could use this flaw to crash an application or potentially execute arbitrary code by convincing a user to open a malicious WavPack audio file.",

Drag nodes to arrange them. Double-click a related vulnerability to open it, or a source to visit its link. The Physics button on the left tunes the layout and the simulation; the legend at the bottom left hides or shows nodes by kind and by sighting type.
Experimental. This forecast is provided for visualization only and may change without notice. Do not use it for operational decisions.
Forecast uses a logistic model when the trend is rising, or an exponential decay model when the trend is falling. Fitted via linearized least squares.

The MITRE ATT&CK techniques below are AI-generated suggestions, inferred from the description of the
vulnerability by the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-classification-roberta-base
model, served locally by ML-Gateway.
They have not been verified by an analyst and are provided for guidance only.
The approach is described in our paper Mapping CVEs to MITRE ATT&CK Techniques: A Curated Gold-Set Classifier and the Limits of LLM-Assisted Label Expansion.
