OESA-2025-1126 (CVE-2024-48424)
Vulnerability from osv_openeuler – Published: 2025-02-14 11:08 – Updated: 2026-08-06 11:08 – Source websiteAssimp is a library to load and process geometric scenes from various data formats. Assimp aims to provide a full asset conversion pipeline for use in game engines and real-time rendering systems of any kind, but is not limited to this purpose.
Security Fix(es):
A heap-buffer-overflow vulnerability has been identified in the OpenDDLParser::parseStructure function within the Assimp library, specifically during the processing of OpenGEX files.(CVE-2024-48424)
A heap-buffer-overflow vulnerability was discovered in the SkipSpacesAndLineEnd function in Assimp v5.4.3. This issue occurs when processing certain malformed MD5 model files, leading to an out-of-bounds read and potential application crash.(CVE-2024-53425)
