Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-10-12 15:32 – Updated: 2026-10-12 15:32
VLAI
Details

The JAXB factory methods historically relied solely on FEATURE_SECURE_PROCESSING to prevent XML External Entity (XXE) resolution. On JAXP implementations where that feature alone does not block external entity resolution, an attacker who can get untrusted XML unmarshalled through JAXB can read local files via out-of-band XXE.

Related by attack behaviour

Vulnerabilities whose description is nearest to this one in the vector space of the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-biencoder model. This is a similarity search over the bi-encoder space (plain cosine), not a classification, and it has no measured accuracy.
