FKIE_CVE-2007-1189

Vulnerability from fkie_nvd - Published: 2007-03-02 21:18 - Updated: 2026-06-16 22:37
Severity
Summary
Integer overflow in the envwrite function in the Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs Plan 9 kernel allows local users to overwrite certain memory addresses with kernel memory via a large n argument, as demonstrated by (1) modifying the iseve function to gain privileges and (2) making the devpermcheck function grant unrestricted device permissions.

Drag nodes to arrange them. Double-click a related vulnerability to open it, or a source to visit its link. The Physics button on the left tunes the layout and the simulation; the legend at the bottom left hides or shows nodes by kind and by sighting type.

Forecast uses a logistic model when the trend is rising, or an exponential decay model when the trend is falling. Fitted via linearized least squares.
