Title
ipv6: Fix use-after-free in inet6_addr_del().
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv6: Fix use-after-free in inet6_addr_del().
syzbot reported use-after-free of inet6_ifaddr in
inet6_addr_del(). [0]
The cited commit accidentally moved ipv6_del_addr() for
mngtmpaddr before reading its ifp->flags for temporary
addresses in inet6_addr_del().
Let's move ipv6_del_addr() down to fix the UAF.

"value": "AV:L - The vulnerable `inet6_addr_del()` path is reached through local IPv6 address-management interfaces, including `ioctl(SIOCDIFADDR)` on an IPv6 socket and rtnetlink `RTM_DELADDR`, not by processing remote packets.\nAC:L - An attacker who can manage addresses in a network namespace can create/delete the relevant IPv6 address state and repeatedly trigger the UAF; the RCU/freeing timing is attacker-influenced enough to be treated as low complexity.\nPR:L - The path is gated by `CAP_NET_ADMIN` in the target network namespace, but this is reachable by an unprivileged local user via user/network namespaces on systems permitting them, so it is low privileges rather than high.\nUI:N - No victim action is needed once the attacker has local execution; the attacker directly issues the ioctl or netlink requests.\nS:U - The impact remains within the kernel security authority of the local system and does not cross a separate scope such as a VM or device isolation boundary.\nC:H - This is a use-after-free of a kernel heap `inet6_ifaddr` object; under the required kernel scoring guidance, UAF memory corruption is treated as enabling high confidentiality impact.\nI:H - Use-after-free of a reclaimable kernel object can be targeted with heap manipulation and is treated as potentially enabling control-flow or data corruption, so integrity impact is high.\nA:H - The bug is KASAN-confirmed as a slab use-after-free in kernel address deletion and can cause kernel oops/panic or repeated crashes."

Drag nodes to arrange them. Double-click a related vulnerability to open it, or a source to visit its link. The Physics button on the left tunes the layout and the simulation; the legend at the bottom left hides or shows nodes by kind and by sighting type.
Experimental. This forecast is provided for visualization only and may change without notice. Do not use it for operational decisions.
Forecast uses a logistic model when the trend is rising, or an exponential decay model when the trend is falling. Fitted via linearized least squares.

The MITRE ATT&CK techniques below are AI-generated suggestions, inferred from the description of the
vulnerability by the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-classification-roberta-base
model, served locally by ML-Gateway.
They have not been verified by an analyst and are provided for guidance only.
The approach is described in our paper Mapping CVEs to MITRE ATT&CK Techniques: A Curated Gold-Set Classifier and the Limits of LLM-Assisted Label Expansion.

Vulnerabilities whose description is nearest to this one in the vector space of the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-biencoder model. This is a similarity search over the bi-encoder space (plain cosine), not a classification, and it has no measured accuracy.
