Title
Use-after-free in INSTRUX structure members in pybddisasm
Summary
A use-after-free vulnerability in the pybddisasm Python bindings affects structure-valued members of INSTRUX objects. These members are exposed through Python objects that reference memory owned by the parent INSTRUX object. A retained reference to a member does not keep the parent allocation alive. Accessing the member after the parent INSTRUX object has been freed therefore accesses freed memory. Depending on how the member is used and whether the freed allocation has been reused, this may expose process memory or cause the Python process to crash. Exploitation requires an application to retain and subsequently access a member reference after the parent object has been freed. The pybddisasm package is no longer maintained.

Accessing the member after the parent INSTRUX object has been freed therefore accesses freed memory. Drag nodes to arrange them. Double-click a related vulnerability to open it, or a source to visit its link. The Physics button on the left tunes the layout and the simulation; the legend at the bottom left hides or shows nodes by kind and by sighting type.

Forecast uses a logistic model when the trend is rising, or an exponential decay model when the trend is falling. Fitted via linearized least squares.

    Related by attack behaviour

Vulnerabilities whose description is nearest to this one in the vector space of the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-biencoder model. This is a similarity search over the bi-encoder space (plain cosine), not a classification, and it has no measured accuracy.
