Title
scsi: qla2xxx: Fix double free of the ha->vp_map pointer
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: qla2xxx: Fix double free of the ha->vp_map pointer
Coverity scan reported potential risk of double free of the pointer
ha->vp_map. ha->vp_map was freed in qla2x00_mem_alloc(), and again freed
in function qla2x00_mem_free(ha).
Assign NULL to vp_map and kfree take care of NULL.

"value": "AV:L - The vulnerable code is only entered from `qla2x00_probe_one()`, i.e. local driver bring-up via module load, sysfs driver bind, or boot-time PCI enumeration; no network or remote-peer data reaches this path.\nAC:H - Triggering requires a kernel memory-allocation failure at one of ~20 specific sites inside the probe, plus the non-default `qlini_mode=exclusive|disabled|dual` (FC target) or `ql2xsecenable=1` on QLA28xx \u2014 neither the timing of the probe nor which allocation fails is under the attacker\u0027s control.\nPR:L - The only attacker-supplied ingredient is memory exhaustion/fragmentation, which any unprivileged local user can create; the probe itself is driven by ordinary system activity (boot, PCI hotplug, udev/driver rebind), so no elevated privilege is needed for the attacker\u0027s half.\nUI:N - Once the allocation failure occurs during probe, the error unwind and the second `kfree()` in `qla2x00_mem_free()` happen automatically inside the kernel with no action by any other user.\nS:U - The corruption is confined to the kernel slab allocator on the same host and crosses no virtualization, IOMMU, or sandbox authority boundary.\nC:H - The double free of the 4 KB `vp_map` object lets the same slab object be handed to two owners, yielding a use-after-free read primitive over whatever kernel structure lands there \u2014 potentially arbitrary kernel memory disclosure.\nI:H - Freelist corruption from the double free gives overlapping allocations, the classic path to controlled kernel heap writes and control-flow hijack; the freed 4 KB object is also a prime heap-spray target.\nA:H - With `CONFIG_SLAB_FREELIST_HARDENED`/SLUB debug the second `kfree()` is detected and BUG()s immediately; without it, freelist corruption reliably leads to an oops or panic."

Drag nodes to arrange them. Double-click a related vulnerability to open it, or a source to visit its link. The Physics button on the left tunes the layout and the simulation; the legend at the bottom left hides or shows nodes by kind and by sighting type.
Experimental. This forecast is provided for visualization only and may change without notice. Do not use it for operational decisions.
Forecast uses a logistic model when the trend is rising, or an exponential decay model when the trend is falling. Fitted via linearized least squares.

The MITRE ATT&CK techniques below are AI-generated suggestions, inferred from the description of the
vulnerability by the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-classification-roberta-base
model, served locally by ML-Gateway.
They have not been verified by an analyst and are provided for guidance only.
The approach is described in our paper Mapping CVEs to MITRE ATT&CK Techniques: A Curated Gold-Set Classifier and the Limits of LLM-Assisted Label Expansion.

Vulnerabilities whose description is nearest to this one in the vector space of the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-biencoder model. This is a similarity search over the bi-encoder space (plain cosine), not a classification, and it has no measured accuracy.
