Title
wifi: ath11k: fix RCU stall while reaping monitor destination ring
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: ath11k: fix RCU stall while reaping monitor destination ring
While processing the monitor destination ring, MSDUs are reaped from the
link descriptor based on the corresponding buf_id.
However, sometimes the driver cannot obtain a valid buffer corresponding
to the buf_id received from the hardware. This causes an infinite loop
in the destination processing, resulting in a kernel crash.
kernel log:
ath11k_pci 0000:58:00.0: data msdu_pop: invalid buf_id 309
ath11k_pci 0000:58:00.0: data dp_rx_monitor_link_desc_return failed
ath11k_pci 0000:58:00.0: data msdu_pop: invalid buf_id 309
ath11k_pci 0000:58:00.0: data dp_rx_monitor_link_desc_return failed
Fix this by skipping the problematic buf_id and reaping the next entry,
replacing the break with the next MSDU processing.
AV:N - ksmbd is the in-kernel SMB server listening on TCP/445; the entire attack consists of SMB2 CREATE and CLOSE PDUs sent over the network to the IPC$ share. No local access is needed at any point.
AC:L - The attacker drives both sides of the race by pipelining concurrent SMB2 requests on one connection (ksmbd's workqueue has no per-connection serialization), and the race window spans a blocking userspace IPC round-trip of up to 2 seconds, while the target handle ID is a predictable small `ida_alloc()` value.
PR:L - Reaching create_smb2_pipe() requires a completed SMB2 SESSION_SETUP and a TREE_CONNECT to IPC$, i.e. any valid low-privileged SMB account (or a guest account where mapping is enabled). This matches the scoring of the sibling ksmbd session UAFs CVE-2025-22040/CVE-2025-22041.
UI:N - The attacker generates every request in the sequence; no action by a legitimate user or administrator is required to trigger the race.
S:U - The corruption is confined to the kernel's own heap and the ksmbd server's data structures, all within the same security authority; no VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.
C:H - The success path returns `entry->id` read from freed slab memory and sends it back to the attacker as the CREATE response VolatileFileId, directly leaking reclaimed kernel heap contents, and the UAF/double-free of a small generic-cache object gives a spray-controlled read primitive.
I:H - The error path double-frees the entry and calls ksmbd_rpc_id_free() on a stale IDA id now owned by a different live RPC handle, yielding freelist corruption and cross-handle aliasing that are classic stepping stones to arbitrary write and control-flow hijack in kernel context.
A:H - Use-after-free and double-free of a kmalloc object reliably produce slab corruption, oops, or panic, and the attacker can repeat the race indefinitely over new sessions to crash the server.
AV:N - espintcp exists specifically to carry IPsec over TCP across the public internet, and both leak triggers are driven by network events — a remote peer resetting/closing the espintcp TCP connection (making `inet_lookup_established` fail) and remotely induced outbound traffic volume that overflows `out_queue` past `net_hotdata.max_backlog`. The skbs are leaked in the network datapath from a softirq/workqueue re-injection context, with no local access required.
AC:L - The attacker controls both trigger conditions directly — packet rate through the tunnel and the state of the espintcp TCP connection — and each qualifying packet leaks an skb deterministically with no memory-layout or timing requirement beyond the attacker's influence. The kernel discards the error return in `xfrm_trans_reinject()`, so the leak is guaranteed, not probabilistic.
PR:N - No credentials on the target are needed: an unauthenticated remote host can send packets that elicit reply traffic routed out over the espintcp SA, and the remote TCP peer can tear down the espintcp connection at will. Locally the path is reachable by any unprivileged user simply sending traffic matching the IPsec policy.
UI:N - The leak occurs entirely within kernel packet processing on the xfrm output path; no administrator or user action on the victim system is required once the espintcp SA is configured.
S:U - The leaked memory and the resulting resource exhaustion are confined to the kernel's own security authority, with no crossing of a hypervisor, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary.
C:N - The bug is a missing `kfree_skb()` — memory is simply never released. No stale or out-of-bounds data is read or exposed to the attacker, and no kernel addresses are disclosed.
I:N - No memory corruption, out-of-bounds write, or type confusion occurs; the skb is never reused after the missed free, so there is no write primitive or data modification.
A:H - This is an unbounded, attacker-rate-driven leak in the network fast path — with the espintcp socket gone, every outbound ESP packet permanently leaks a full skb, exhausting kernel memory and driving the system to OOM. The leaked skbs also retain their `dst_entry` (and thus netdev) references, which additionally pins device refcounts and can hang network-namespace teardown indefinitely."

Title
net: stmmac: make sure that ptp_rate is not 0 before configuring EST
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: stmmac: make sure that ptp_rate is not 0 before configuring EST
If the ptp_rate recorded earlier in the driver happens to be 0, this
bogus value will propagate up to EST configuration, where it will
trigger a division by 0.
Prevent this division by 0 by adding the corresponding check and error
code.
Severity
No CVSS data available.

Title
NFSD: fix race between nfsd registration and exports_proc
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
NFSD: fix race between nfsd registration and exports_proc
As of now nfsd calls create_proc_exports_entry() at start of init_nfsd
and cleanup by remove_proc_entry() at last of exit_nfsd.
Which causes kernel OOPs if there is race between below 2 operations:
(i) exportfs -r
(ii) mount -t nfsd none /proc/fs/nfsd
for 5.4 kernel ARM64:

Sometimes it crashes at exports_net_open() and sometimes cache_seq_next_rcu().
and same is happening on latest 6.14 kernel as well:

It reproduced simply with below script:

done &
while [ 1 ]
do
insmod /nfsd.ko
mount -t nfsd none /proc/fs/nfsd
umount /proc/fs/nfsd
rmmod nfsd
done &
So exporting interfaces to user space shall be done at last and
cleanup at first place.
With change there is no Kernel OOPs.

Title
genirq/irq_sim: Initialize work context pointers properly
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
genirq/irq_sim: Initialize work context pointers properly
Initialize `ops` member's pointers properly by using kzalloc() instead of
kmalloc() when allocating the simulation work context. Otherwise the
pointers contain random content leading to invalid dereferencing.
Severity
7.8 (High)

Title
bpf: Reject narrower access to pointer ctx fields
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Reject narrower access to pointer ctx fields
The following BPF program, simplified from a syzkaller repro, causes a
kernel warning:
r0 = *(u8 *)(r1 + 169);
exit;
With pointer field sk being at offset 168 in __sk_buff. This access is
detected as a narrower read in bpf_skb_is_valid_access because it
doesn't match offsetof(struct __sk_buff, sk). It is therefore allowed
and later proceeds to bpf_convert_ctx_access. Note that for the
"is_narrower_load" case in the convert_ctx_accesses(), the insn->off
is aligned, so the cnt may not be 0 because it matches the
offsetof(struct __sk_buff, sk) in the bpf_convert_ctx_access. However,
the target_size stays 0 and the verifier errors with a kernel warning:
verifier bug: error during ctx access conversion(1)
This patch fixes that to return a proper "invalid bpf_context access
off=X size=Y" error on the load instruction.
The same issue affects multiple other fields in context structures that
allow narrow access. Some other non-affected fields (for sk_msg,
sk_lookup, and sockopt) were also changed to use bpf_ctx_range_ptr for
consistency.
Note this syzkaller crash was reported in the "Closes" link below, which
used to be about a different bug, fixed in
commit fce7bd8e385a ("bpf/verifier: Handle BPF_LOAD_ACQ instructions
in insn_def_regno()"). Because syzbot somehow confused the two bugs,
the new crash and repro didn't get reported to the mailing list.

Title
ksmbd: Fix race condition in RPC handle list access
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: Fix race condition in RPC handle list access
The 'sess->rpc_handle_list' XArray manages RPC handles within a ksmbd
session. Access to this list is intended to be protected by
'sess->rpc_lock' (an rw_semaphore). However, the locking implementation was
flawed, leading to potential race conditions.
In ksmbd_session_rpc_open(), the code incorrectly acquired only a read lock
before calling xa_store() and xa_erase(). Since these operations modify
the XArray structure, a write lock is required to ensure exclusive access
and prevent data corruption from concurrent modifications.
Furthermore, ksmbd_session_rpc_method() accessed the list using xa_load()
without holding any lock at all. This could lead to reading inconsistent
data or a potential use-after-free if an entry is concurrently removed and
the pointer is dereferenced.
Fix these issues by:
1. Using down_write() and up_write() in ksmbd_session_rpc_open()
to ensure exclusive access during XArray modification, and ensuring
the lock is correctly released on error paths.
2. Adding down_read() and up_read() in ksmbd_session_rpc_method()
to safely protect the lookup.

When hfsplus_uni2asc is called from hfsplus_listxattr,
it actually passes in a struct hfsplus_attr_unistr*.
The size of the corresponding structure is different from that of hfsplus_unistr,
so the previous fix (94458781aee6) is insufficient.
The pointer on the unicode buffer is still going beyond the allocated memory.
This patch introduces two warpper functions hfsplus_uni2asc_xattr_str and
hfsplus_uni2asc_str to process two unicode buffers,
struct hfsplus_attr_unistr* and struct hfsplus_unistr* respectively.
When ustrlen value is bigger than the allocated memory size,
the ustrlen value is limited to an safe size.
AV:L - The attacker-controlled input is an on-disk HFS+ attributes B-tree key, and the vulnerable conversion is reached through the ordinary local `listxattr()`/`llistxattr()` syscall on a mounted volume; there is no network or remote-peer input path. Local rather than Physical because the volume can be attached locally via a loop device and the trigger is a plain local syscall.
AC:L - The `length` field of the `hfsplus_attr_unistr` key name is written verbatim by the attacker in the crafted image and was clamped to 255 instead of 127, so the 256-byte overread fires deterministically on the first `listxattr()` call. No race, no heap grooming, and no condition outside the attacker's control.
PR:L - Nothing on the `path_listxattrat` → `vfs_listxattr` → `hfsplus_listxattr` → `hfsplus_uni2asc` path performs any capability check — the only `capable(CAP_SYS_ADMIN)` test (`can_list()`) runs after the out-of-bounds conversion and merely filters `trusted.*` names. Any unprivileged local user who can traverse an HFS+ volume (e.g. one udisks2-automounted from attacker-supplied removable media) triggers it.
UI:N - In the automount/kiosk scenario the volume is mounted by the system on device insertion with no victim action, and the attacker then issues the `listxattr()` himself; likewise an attacker with loop-mount access performs every step. Choosing the higher-severity option where the mount could otherwise be attributed to a victim.
S:U - The out-of-bounds read, the leaked bytes, and any resulting fault all stay within the kernel's own security authority. No VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.
C:H - This is not a bounded few-byte read: up to 256 bytes past the `kzalloc(536)` key allocation are consumed, NLS-converted into `strbuf`, and copied out to userspace by `copy_name()` plus the `copy_to_user()` in `listxattr()`, giving a direct kernel-heap disclosure channel rather than a mere oracle. On slub_debug/KASAN/KFENCE and hardened configurations those bytes are live redzone/stale slab content adjacent to the allocation.
I:N - `hfsplus_uni2asc()` only dereferences and converts the input; the output writes are bounded by `*len_p` via `nls->uni2char()` returning `-ENAMETOOLONG`. There is no out-of-bounds write, no type confusion, and no mechanism to modify kernel memory or hijack control flow.
A:H - The slab out-of-bounds read is a guaranteed KASAN/KFENCE report and, with `panic_on_warn`/`panic_on_oops`, a kernel panic; where the overread crosses a KFENCE guard page it faults outright. It also leaves the xattr listing returning `-EIO`/garbage, rendering the volume's attribute handling unusable, and is repeatable at will by an unprivileged user."
