en
AV:L - The vulnerable code is the host PF driver's virtchnl mailbox handler, reached by a VF writing a `VIRTCHNL_OP_CONFIG_IRQ_MAP` message over PCIe, not by any network protocol. This is the standard local/guest-to-host vector used for SR-IOV VF-to-PF interface bugs.
AC:L - The attacker fully controls both preconditions from inside the VF — it sends `VIRTCHNL_OP_ENABLE_CHANNELS` with `num_tc < 4` and then a crafted `CONFIG_IRQ_MAP` with high queue-map bits set; the sequence is deterministic with no race or memory-layout dependency. The `spoofchk off` requirement is inherent to every deployment where ADq is used at all, i.e. exactly the deployments where the code is reachable.
PR:L - The attacker needs only control of a VF that has been legitimately assigned to them — root inside their own guest VM or container, which is the normal granted privilege level of an SR-IOV tenant. No privilege on the host or in the PF's security authority is required, and the PF handler applies no capability or "trusted VF" check to this opcode.
UI:N - The malicious VF driver sends the virtchnl messages entirely on its own initiative. No action by the host administrator or any other tenant is needed once a VF is assigned.
S:C - The attacker is confined to a VF/guest security authority, but the bypassed validation causes the host PF driver to program hardware queue-interrupt registers (`I40E_QINT_RQCTL`/`I40E_QINT_TQCTL`) for queues outside the VF's allocation — resources owned by the PF (host) and by other VFs (other tenants). Impact therefore lands beyond the vulnerable component's security authority, as in a guest-to-host/cross-tenant escape.
C:H - `i40e_vc_isvalid_queue_id()` is invoked with a stale/zero VSI id and performs no ownership check, letting a VF get its queue map validated against a VSI belonging to the PF or another VF and then attach foreign queues to its own MSI-X vector, exposing another tenant's data-path activity. Cross-tenant exposure of resources the VF has no right to observe warrants High.
I:H - When the gate wrongly passes, `i40e_config_irq_link_list()` writes MMIO interrupt-control registers at PF-relative queue indices derived from unvalidated VF input, modifying hardware state owned by the PF and by other VFs. Unauthorized modification of another security authority's device configuration is a High integrity impact.
A:H - Misprogramming `QINT_RQCTL`/`QINT_TQCTL` for queues belonging to the PF or other VFs breaks their Rx/Tx interrupt delivery, stalling the host's and co-tenant VMs' network data paths; queue contexts can also be pointed at `I40E_QUEUE_END_OF_LIST`, wedging the link list. A single unprivileged VF can repeat this at will, denying service to the whole port."

The maximum number of descriptors supported by the
hardware is 8k-32.
Additionally, enforce alignment constraints: Tx rings must be a multiple
of 8, and Rx rings must be a multiple of 32.
AV:L - The vulnerability is triggered by a virtchnl `VIRTCHNL_OP_CONFIG_VSI_QUEUES` mailbox message sent by the VF driver over the PCIe admin queue, not by network traffic; the attacker needs local access to a guest VM or host process that owns an SR-IOV VF. This is the standard local guest-to-host device-passthrough attack path.
AC:L - Exploitation is fully deterministic — the attacker simply emits one CONFIG_VSI_QUEUES message with a misaligned or oversized `ring_len` and the value is programmed into the HMC context unconditionally. There is no race, no timing window, and no dependence on memory layout the attacker cannot influence.
PR:L - The attacker holds no privileges on the vulnerable component (the host PF driver) — only control of an assigned VF, which is exactly what an ordinary untrusted cloud tenant or container is granted. No trusted-VF check gates this opcode in `i40e_vc_process_vf_msg()`, so a normally provisioned, untrusted VF owner suffices.
UI:N - The malicious virtchnl message is processed by the PF asynchronously from the admin receive queue with no action by the host administrator or any other user. No victim interaction is involved at any point.
S:C - The attacking component is the VF under guest/tenant authority, while the impacted resources are the host-owned HMC hardware context, the shared physical NIC, and every other VF on the adapter — a guest-to-host boundary crossing analogous to a VM escape. Corruption of PF-managed hardware state propagates outside the attacker's security authority to the host and co-tenants.
C:H - A qlen larger than the memory actually backing the descriptor ring makes the NIC fetch descriptors past the end of the allocated region, and in deployments without IOMMU isolation (vfio-pci noiommu/DPDK, `iommu=pt`, embedded platforms) that is a device-mediated out-of-bounds read of host physical memory. The 13-bit truncation additionally desynchronizes hardware and driver views of the ring, exposing stale descriptor and packet contents.
I:H - The same unbounded qlen drives Rx descriptor writeback and Tx head writeback to addresses beyond the intended ring, yielding attacker-influenced DMA writes outside the allocated buffer, again unconstrained where the VF is not behind an IOMMU. It also lets an untrusted VF corrupt host-managed hardware queue state on an adapter shared with other tenants.
A:H - Out-of-spec values (misaligned, or above the 8160-descriptor hardware maximum, or truncated by the 13-bit field) produce HMC error interrupts, DMA/IOMMU faults, queue hangs and PF-level resets that take down the entire physical NIC along with the host's own networking and all other VFs. The message can be replayed indefinitely from the guest, making it a persistent cross-tenant denial of service.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

can: mcba_usb: populate ndo_change_mtu() to prevent buffer overflow

Sending an PF_PACKET allows to bypass the CAN framework logic and to
directly reach the xmit() function of a CAN driver. The only check
which is performed by the PF_PACKET framework is to make sure that
skb->len fits the interface's MTU.

Unfortunately, because the mcba_usb driver does not populate its
net_device_ops->ndo_change_mtu(), it is possible for an attacker to
configure an invalid MTU by doing, for example:

$ ip link set can0 mtu 9999

After doing so, the attacker could open a PF_PACKET socket using the
ETH_P_CANXL protocol:

socket(PF_PACKET, SOCK_RAW, htons(ETH_P_CANXL))

to inject a malicious CAN XL frames. For example:

struct canxl_frame frame = {
 .flags = 0xff,
 .len = 2048,
};

The CAN drivers' xmit() function are calling can_dev_dropped_skb() to
check that the skb is valid, unfortunately under above conditions, the
malicious packet is able to go through can_dev_dropped_skb() checks:

1. the skb->protocol is set to ETH_P_CANXL which is valid (the
function does not check the actual device capabilities).

2. the length is a valid CAN XL length.

And so, mcba_usb_start_xmit() receives a CAN XL frame which it is not
able to correctly handle and will thus misinterpret it as a CAN frame.

This can result in a buffer overflow. The driver will consume cf->len
as-is with no further checks on these lines:

usb_msg.dlc = cf->len;

memcpy(usb_msg.data, cf->data, usb_msg.dlc);

Here, cf->len corresponds to the flags field of the CAN XL frame. In
our previous example, we set canxl_frame->flags to 0xff. Because the
maximum expected length is 8, a buffer overflow of 247 bytes occurs!

Populate net_device_ops->ndo_change_mtu() to ensure that the
interface's MTU can not be set to anything bigger than CAN_MTU. By
fixing the root cause, this prevents the buffer overflow.
AV:L - Exploitation is performed entirely with local syscalls on the host owning the CAN interface — `socket(PF_PACKET, SOCK_RAW, htons(ETH_P_CANXL))` plus `sendmsg()`, optionally preceded by an rtnetlink MTU change. No remote or adjacent-network peer can reach `mcba_usb_start_xmit()`; the USB dongle and the CAN bus are only the sink for the resulting transfer, never the source of the malicious frame.
AC:L - The overflow is fully deterministic — a single crafted CAN XL frame with `flags = 0xff` unconditionally makes `cf->len` 255 and drives a 255-byte `memcpy()` into an 8-byte stack field, with no race, no timing window, and no dependence on memory layout to trigger.
PR:L - The minimal variant needs only `ns_capable(net->user_ns, CAP_NET_RAW)` from `packet_create()` because a 13–16 byte CAN XL skb already fits under the default `CAN_MTU`, and the fully-controlled-payload variant adds only the namespaced `CAP_NET_ADMIN` for the MTU change; CAN netdevs are not netns-local, so a `can0` delegated into a container or user namespace puts both capabilities in the hands of an unprivileged user, and typical container runtimes grant `CAP_NET_RAW` by default.
UI:N - The attacker performs every step alone — open the packet socket, optionally set the MTU, and send the malicious CAN XL frame. No victim action, mount, or file open is involved.
S:U - The corruption stays in kernel stack and adjacent heap memory within the same kernel security authority as the attacking process; no VM, hypervisor, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.
C:H - With a minimal 13-byte skb permitted at the default MTU, the `memcpy()` reads 255 bytes from a much smaller skb data area, over-reading ~247 bytes of adjacent kernel heap, and 8 of those bytes are copied into the URB and DMA'd out to the USB device as an externally observable disclosure primitive; the stack corruption itself further yields arbitrary-read capability.
I:H - Up to 247 bytes are written past an 8-byte array in a 19-byte stack struct, overwriting the stack canary, saved registers and return address of `mcba_usb_start_xmit()`, and with the MTU raised those bytes are entirely attacker-chosen — a classic control-flow hijack and arbitrary-write primitive suitable for privilege escalation.
A:H - The stack smash trips the stack protector (`__stack_chk_fail` panic) or corrupts the transmitting task's frame in the xmit path, reliably producing a kernel oops or panic, and it can be re-triggered at will from an unprivileged socket.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

can: sun4i_can: populate ndo_change_mtu() to prevent buffer overflow

Sending an PF_PACKET allows to bypass the CAN framework logic and to
directly reach the xmit() function of a CAN driver. The only check
which is performed by the PF_PACKET framework is to make sure that
skb->len fits the interface's MTU.

Unfortunately, because the sun4i_can driver does not populate its
net_device_ops->ndo_change_mtu(), it is possible for an attacker to
configure an invalid MTU by doing, for example:

$ ip link set can0 mtu 9999

After doing so, the attacker could open a PF_PACKET socket using the
ETH_P_CANXL protocol:

socket(PF_PACKET, SOCK_RAW, htons(ETH_P_CANXL))

to inject a malicious CAN XL frames. For example:

struct canxl_frame frame = {
 .flags = 0xff,
 .len = 2048,
};

And so, sun4ican_start_xmit() receives a CAN XL frame which it is not
able to correctly handle and will thus misinterpret it as a CAN frame.

This can result in a buffer overflow. The driver will consume cf->len
as-is with no further checks on this line:

dlc = cf->len;

Here, cf->len corresponds to the flags field of the CAN XL frame. In
our previous example, we set canxl_frame->flags to 0xff. Because the
maximum expected length is 8, a buffer overflow of 247 bytes occurs a
couple line below when doing:

for (i = 0; i < dlc; i++)
 writel(cf->data[i], priv->base + (dreg + i * 4));

Populate net_device_ops->ndo_change_mtu() to ensure that the
interface's MTU can not be set to anything bigger than CAN_MTU. By
fixing the root cause, this prevents the buffer overflow.
AV:L - Triggering requires local syscalls on the host — `socket(PF_PACKET, SOCK_RAW, htons(ETH_P_CANXL))` followed by `sendmsg()` to the can interface, reaching `sun4ican_start_xmit()` through `dev_queue_xmit()`. The bug is entirely in the TX path; a remote or adjacent CAN-bus peer is only the sink and cannot reach it.
AC:L - The overflow is fully deterministic — `can_dropped_invalid_skb()` accepts an ETH_P_CANXL skb on a classic-CAN device, `canxl_frame.flags` is reinterpreted as `can_frame.len`, and the loop unconditionally walks up to 255 elements. No race, no memory-layout guessing, and no condition outside the attacker's control is involved.
PR:L - The only gate is `ns_capable(net->user_ns, CAP_NET_RAW)` in `packet_create()`, which is namespaced and granted by default in common container runtimes; because a 13–16 byte CAN XL frame already passes the default CAN_MTU check, the CAP_NET_ADMIN MTU change is not even needed. CAN netdevs are not netns-local, so a `can0` delegated into a container/user namespace lets an otherwise unprivileged user trigger this with no real root.
UI:N - The attacker performs every step alone — open the packet socket and send one malicious CAN XL frame to an up CAN interface. No victim action, no configuration change by an administrator, and no interaction of any kind is required.
S:U - The out-of-bounds read and the runaway MMIO writes stay within the kernel of the same host; no VM, hypervisor, or IOMMU boundary is crossed. The vulnerable component and the impacted resources share a single security authority.
C:H - With a minimal 13–16 byte skb the loop reads `cf->data[0..254]`, over-reading roughly 247 bytes of adjacent kernel heap past the packet data. That residue is pushed into the controller's registers and, with self-reception/loopback enabled, bytes beyond `skb->len` are echoed back to userspace, giving a repeatable kernel-memory disclosure primitive.
I:H - Up to 254 attacker-influenced 32-bit stores land beyond the intended 8-byte TX buffer slot, overwriting the entire sun4i CAN register block (acceptance/readback/reserved registers) with out-of-bounds heap contents. This is a controlled out-of-bounds write that corrupts device state and, past `0x400`, writes to memory outside the ioremap mapping entirely.
A:H - For `dlc` above 235 the write offset exceeds the `0x400` ioremap window, and since the mapping ends exactly on a page boundary the next page is the vmalloc guard page — an unmapped kernel VA store that produces an immediate oops/panic. The condition is re-triggerable at will from an unprivileged socket, and the register scribbling wedges the CAN controller even when the fault is avoided."

For example:

struct canxl_frame frame = {
 .flags = 0xff,
 .len = 2048,
};

And so, hi3110_hard_start_xmit() receives a CAN XL frame which it is
not able to correctly handle and will thus misinterpret it as a CAN
frame. The driver will consume frame->len as-is with no further
checks.

This can result in a buffer overflow later on in hi3110_hw_tx() on
this line:

memcpy(buf + HI3110_FIFO_EXT_DATA_OFF,
 frame->data, frame->len);

Here, frame->len corresponds to the flags field of the CAN XL frame.
In our previous example, we set canxl_frame->flags to 0xff. Because
the maximum expected length is 8, a buffer overflow of 247 bytes
occurs!

Populate net_device_ops->ndo_change_mtu() to ensure that the
interface's MTU can not be set to anything bigger than CAN_MTU. By
fixing the root cause, this prevents the buffer overflow."

No remote or adjacent-network path reaches this xmit function.
AC:L - The overflow is fully deterministic: a single crafted CAN XL frame with flags=0xFF makes frame->len=255 unconditionally, with no race, no timing window, and no dependence on memory layout to trigger.
PR:L - The attacker needs only CAP_NET_RAW to open the PF_PACKET socket (and CAP_NET_ADMIN for the larger fully-controlled payload variant), both of which are held by unprivileged principals inside user/network namespaces and by containerized automotive and industrial CAN applications that own the delegated can0 interface.
UI:N - The attacker sends the malicious frame entirely on their own; no victim action, mount, or file open is involved.
S:U - The corruption occurs in kernel stack and slab memory within the same kernel security authority as the attacking process; no VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.
C:H - hi3110_spi_trans() transmits 262 bytes out of a 15-byte devm_kzalloc'd buffer, shifting ~247 bytes of adjacent kernel heap memory onto the externally observable SPI/CAN bus, and the memcpy also over-reads the skb; the stack/heap corruption further yields disclosure primitives.
I:H - Up to 247 bytes of attacker-controlled data are written past a 14-byte kernel stack buffer, overwriting the canary, saved registers and return address, plus a matching slab overflow — a classic control-flow hijack and arbitrary-write primitive enabling privilege escalation.
A:H - The stack smash trips the stack protector (panic) or corrupts the workqueue thread's frame, and the concurrent slab overflow corrupts neighbouring heap objects, reliably producing a kernel oops or panic.
AV:L - The vulnerable code is reached through an ordinary `write(2)` syscall on the `/dev/lcd0` character device (`vfd_write`/`lcd_write` → `send_packet`), i.e. a local attack surface reached via a device file, with no network exposure. The disconnect that frees the `usb_device` is a triggering condition the attacker supplies (their own removable/emulated iMON device or an unplug event), not the attack interface itself.
AC:L - The attacker controls both sides of the race: they drive an unbounded loop of `write()` calls that hold `ictx->lock` for seconds at a time (`send_packet` waits up to 10 s per packet, six packets per write) while triggering device removal, giving an extremely wide and repeatable window. Syzkaller reproduces it, and failed attempts are harmless, so it can be retried until it lands.
PR:L - No capability, `CAP_SYS_ADMIN`, or other privilege check exists anywhere on the path — `display_open()` only checks `display_supported`/`display_isopen`, and `vfd_write`/`lcd_write` go straight to `send_packet()`. Any unprivileged process able to open the display node (routinely group-accessible on media/HTPC systems, and the node the LIRC/LCDproc userspace stack writes to) can trigger it.
UI:N - The attacker's own process performs the writes, and the disconnect side is produced by the attacker's device or unplug action rather than by a victim. No action by another user is needed at any point.
S:U - The use-after-free corrupts kernel memory within the same kernel security authority; there is no VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary crossed.
C:H - The freed `struct usb_device` is read via `__create_pipe()` (`dev->devnum`) and then throughout `usb_submit_urb()` (`dev->state`, `dev->ep_out[]`, `dev->bus`), so an attacker who reclaims the slab object can read back kernel data and pointers, and the UAF is a general primitive for arbitrary memory disclosure.
I:H - The stale pointer is stored into the URB and submitted, causing `usb_get_dev(urb->dev)` to write (atomic increment) into freed memory and `bus_to_hcd(urb->dev->bus)->driver->urb_enqueue()` to make an indirect call through a chain rooted in attacker-reclaimable memory — a control-flow hijack and arbitrary-write primitive.
A:H - Even without heap grooming, dereferencing and submitting an URB against a freed `usb_device` reliably produces a KASAN splat, oops, or panic, as shown in the syzbot report, and the attacker can repeat it at will.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

media: tuner: xc5000: Fix use-after-free in xc5000_release

The original code uses cancel_delayed_work() in xc5000_release(), which
does not guarantee that the delayed work item timer_sleep has fully
completed if it was already running. This leads to use-after-free scenarios
where xc5000_release() may free the xc5000_priv while timer_sleep is still
active and attempts to dereference the xc5000_priv.

A typical race condition is illustrated below:

CPU 0 (release thread) | CPU 1 (delayed work callback)
xc5000_release() | xc5000_do_timer_sleep()
cancel_delayed_work() |
hybrid_tuner_release_state(priv) |
kfree(priv) |
| priv = container_of() // UAF

Replace cancel_delayed_work() with cancel_delayed_work_sync() to ensure
that the timer_sleep is properly canceled before the xc5000_priv memory
is deallocated.

A deadlock concern was considered: xc5000_release() is called in a process
context and is not holding any locks that the timer_sleep work item might
also need. Therefore, the use of the _sync() variant is safe here.

This bug was initially identified through static analysis.

[hverkuil: fix typo in Subject: tunner -> tuner]
AV:L - Both halves are software-local: the attacker arms the 5-second `timer_sleep` work through the local `/dev/dvb/adapterN/frontend0` or `/dev/videoN` device node, and the freeing `dvb_frontend_detach()` path is entered by a local write to `/sys/bus/pci/devices/<dev>/remove`/`unbind` or `rmmod` on the PCIe xc5000 cards (cx23885, cx88, saa7134), with no network, adjacent-network, or remote-peer data path into `xc5000_release()`.
AC:L - The attacker fully controls the arming side with deterministic timing — `dvb_shutdown_timeout` defaults to 0, so closing the frontend immediately triggers `xc5000_sleep()` and the work fires exactly 5 s later — and the callback then executes for roughly 350 ms on cx231xx boards (`msleep(10)+msleep(330)+msleep(10)` in `cx231xx_tuner_callback()`), an enormous window that can be re-armed indefinitely for free; once it is hit, `cancel_delayed_work()` cannot steal a running work item and the use-after-free is unconditional.
PR:L - Arming the vulnerable work requires nothing more than opening and closing the DVB frontend or V4L2 video node, which systemd tags with `uaccess` (and which is group `video` on media appliances, set-top boxes and DVR/kiosk systems), so an ordinary unprivileged local account suffices; no capability, user namespace, or root is needed on the attacker-controlled side.
UI:R - Completing the exploit needs the free itself, which only occurs on driver teardown — an administrator running `rmmod`/`unbind`, or a user unplugging the USB TV tuner — an action the unprivileged attacker cannot perform, so a separate user must act while the primed work is executing.
S:U - The corruption is confined to kernel heap objects (the freed `struct xc5000_priv` and whatever reclaims its kmalloc-192 slot) within the same kernel security authority; no VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.
C:H - `xc5000_do_timer_sleep()` reads `priv->fe` out of the freed slab and `xc5000_tuner_reset()` then dereferences `fe->dvb`, `fe->dvb->priv` and `priv->i2c_props.adap->algo_data`, so spraying the kmalloc-192 cache turns the dangling pointer into an arbitrary-address read chain and leaks kernel pointers that defeat KASLR.
I:H - `xc5000_tuner_reset()` performs `fe->callback(...)` where `fe` was loaded from the freed object, giving a fully attacker-controlled indirect call with a controlled first argument once the slab is reclaimed — a direct control-flow hijack primitive, not merely a stray read.
A:H - Dereferencing the freed `xc5000_priv` from workqueue context reliably produces a KASAN slab-use-after-free splat and an oops/panic (and the bogus function-pointer call faults in kernel context), taking the system down.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

media: b2c2: Fix use-after-free causing by irq_check_work in flexcop_pci_remove

The original code uses cancel_delayed_work() in flexcop_pci_remove(), which
does not guarantee that the delayed work item irq_check_work has fully
completed if it was already running. This leads to use-after-free scenarios
where flexcop_pci_remove() may free the flexcop_device while irq_check_work
is still active and attempts to dereference the device.

A typical race condition is illustrated below:

CPU 0 (remove) | CPU 1 (delayed work callback)
flexcop_pci_remove() | flexcop_pci_irq_check_work()
cancel_delayed_work() |
flexcop_device_kfree(fc_pci->fc_dev) |
| fc = fc_pci->fc_dev; // UAF

This is confirmed by a KASAN report:

==================================================================
BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __run_timer_base.part.0+0x7d7/0x8c0
Write of size 8 at addr ffff8880093aa8c8 by task bash/135
...
Call Trace:
<IRQ>
dump_stack_lvl+0x55/0x70
print_report+0xcf/0x610
? __run_timer_base.part.0+0x7d7/0x8c0
kasan_report+0xb8/0xf0
? __run_timer_base.part.0+0x7d7/0x8c0
__run_timer_base.part.0+0x7d7/0x8c0
? __pfx___run_timer_base.part.0+0x10/0x10
? __pfx_read_tsc+0x10/0x10
? ktime_get+0x60/0x140
? lapic_next_event+0x11/0x20
? clockevents_program_event+0x1d4/0x2a0
run_timer_softirq+0xd1/0x190
handle_softirqs+0x16a/0x550
irq_exit_rcu+0xaf/0xe0
sysvec_apic_timer_interrupt+0x70/0x80
</IRQ>
...

Allocated by task 1:
kasan_save_stack+0x24/0x50
kasan_save_track+0x14/0x30
__kasan_kmalloc+0x7f/0x90
__kmalloc_noprof+0x1be/0x460
flexcop_device_kmalloc+0x54/0xe0
flexcop_pci_probe+0x1f/0x9d0
local_pci_probe+0xdc/0x190
pci_device_probe+0x2fe/0x470
really_probe+0x1ca/0x5c0
__driver_probe_device+0x248/0x310
driver_probe_device+0x44/0x120
__driver_attach+0xd2/0x310
bus_for_each_dev+0xed/0x170
bus_add_driver+0x208/0x500
driver_register+0x132/0x460
do_one_initcall+0x89/0x300
kernel_init_freeable+0x40d/0x720
kernel_init+0x1a/0x150
ret_from_fork+0x10c/0x1a0
ret_from_fork_asm+0x1a/0x30

Freed by task 135:
kasan_save_stack+0x24/0x50
kasan_save_track+0x14/0x30
kasan_save_free_info+0x3a/0x60
__kasan_slab_free+0x3f/0x50
kfree+0x137/0x370
flexcop_device_kfree+0x32/0x50
pci_device_remove+0xa6/0x1d0
device_release_driver_internal+0xf8/0x210
pci_stop_bus_device+0x105/0x150
pci_stop_and_remove_bus_device_locked+0x15/0x30
remove_store+0xcc/0xe0
kernfs_fop_write_iter+0x2c3/0x440
vfs_write+0x871/0xd70
ksys_write+0xee/0x1c0
do_syscall_64+0xac/0x280
entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x77/0x7f
...

Replace cancel_delayed_work() with cancel_delayed_work_sync() to ensure
that the delayed work item is properly canceled and any executing delayed
work has finished before the device memory is deallocated.

This bug was initially identified through static analysis. To reproduce
and test it, I simulated the B2C2 FlexCop PCI device in QEMU and introduced
artificial delays within the flexcop_pci_irq_check_work() function to
increase the likelihood of triggering the bug."
