btrfs: fix iteration of extrefs during log replay
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: fix iteration of extrefs during log replay
At __inode_add_ref() when processing extrefs, if we jump into the next
label we have an undefined value of victim_name.len, since we haven't
initialized it before we did the goto. This results in an invalid memory
access in the next iteration of the loop since victim_name.len was not
initialized to the length of the name of the current extref.
Fix this by initializing victim_name.len with the current extref's name
length.

No race, timing window, or unpredictable memory layout is involved in reaching the invalid access.\nPR:L - btrfs does not set `FS_USERNS_MOUNT`, but an unprivileged session user routinely causes attacker-supplied btrfs media to be mounted by udisks2/systemd automounters on desktops, kiosks, and shared workstations, and image-processing services loop-mount untrusted images on behalf of low-privileged callers. No elevated capability of the attacker\u0027s own is needed in that scenario.\nUI:N - Once the crafted volume is attached, the automounter mounts it and log replay runs unconditionally because `btrfs_super_log_root(disk_super) != 0` is checked with no operator prompt. The attacker performs the mount-triggering action themselves; no separate victim action is required.\nS:U - The out-of-bounds access and the resulting corruption stay within the kernel\u0027s own security authority. No hypervisor, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.\nC:H - The uninitialized `victim_name.len` makes `btrfs_get_64()` read past `eb-\u003elen`, and with the accessor\u0027s `ASSERT(check_setget_bounds(...))` compiled out on production kernels, `get_eb_folio_index()` runs off the end of `eb-\u003efolios[]` (index 16 with an attacker-chosen 64K nodesize on 4K pages), turning adjacent slab contents into a `struct folio *` that `folio_address()` dereferences \u2014 an unbounded wild kernel read, not a few-byte bounded one.\nI:H - The out-of-bounds and uninitialized data is interpreted as inode backref metadata and then acted upon: `read_one_inode()` on a garbage `parent_objectid`, `inc_nlink()` on the inode, and `unlink_inode_for_log_replay()` removing directory entries, so kernel memory read out of bounds directly drives modification of filesystem state. Combined with the wild-pointer arithmetic on `eb-\u003efolios[]`, this is memory corruption that must be treated as leverageable for control-flow influence.\nA:H - In the common configurations the bogus folio index yields a NULL or wild `folio_address()` dereference during mount, producing a kernel oops, and with `CONFIG_BTRFS_ASSERT=y` the bounds assertion calls `BUG()` outright. Either outcome is a kernel crash in the mount path."

Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: usb: lan78xx: fix WARN in __netif_napi_del_locked on disconnect
Remove redundant netif_napi_del() call from disconnect path.
A WARN may be triggered in __netif_napi_del_locked() during USB device
disconnect:
WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 11 at net/core/dev.c:7417 __netif_napi_del_locked+0x2b4/0x350
This happens because netif_napi_del() is called in the disconnect path while
NAPI is still enabled. However, it is not necessary to call netif_napi_del()
explicitly, since unregister_netdev() will handle NAPI teardown automatically
and safely. Removing the redundant call avoids triggering the warning.

ACPICA: Refuse to evaluate a method if arguments are missing
As reported in [1], a platform firmware update that increased the number
of method parameters and forgot to update a least one of its callers,
caused ACPICA to crash due to use-after-free.
Since this a result of a clear AML issue that arguably cannot be fixed
up by the interpreter (it cannot produce missing data out of thin air),
address it by making ACPICA refuse to evaluate a method if the caller
attempts to pass fewer arguments than expected to it.

Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/mlx5: Initialize obj_event->obj_sub_list before xa_insert
The obj_event may be loaded immediately after inserted, then if the
list_head is not initialized then we may get a poisonous pointer. This
fixes the crash below:

Closer analysis of CI results history has revealed a dependency of the
error on a few IGT tests, namely:
- igt@api_intel_allocator@fork-simple-stress-signal,
- igt@api_intel_allocator@two-level-inception-interruptible,
- igt@gem_linear_blits@interruptible,
- igt@prime_mmap_coherency@ioctl-errors,
which invisibly trigger the issue, then exhibited with first driver unbind
attempt.
All of the above tests perform actions which are actively interrupted with
signals. Further debugging has allowed to narrow that scope down to
DRM_IOCTL_I915_GEM_EXECBUFFER2, and ring_context_alloc(), specific to ring
submission, in particular.
If successful then that function, or its execlists or GuC submission
equivalent, is supposed to be called only once per GEM context engine,
followed by raise of a flag that prevents the function from being called
again. The function is expected to unwind its internal errors itself, so
it may be safely called once more after it returns an error.
In case of ring submission, the function first gets a reference to the
engine's legacy timeline and then allocates a VMA. If the VMA allocation
fails, e.g. when i915_vma_instance() called from inside is interrupted
with a signal, then ring_context_alloc() fails, leaving the timeline held
referenced. On next I915_GEM_EXECBUFFER2 IOCTL, another reference to the
timeline is got, and only that last one is put on successful completion.
As a consequence, the legacy timeline, with its underlying engine status
page's VMA object, is still held and not released on driver unbind.
Get the legacy timeline only after successful allocation of the context
engine's VMA.

Both execlists and GuC submission use lrc_alloc() which seems free
from a similar issue.

Further debugging has allowed to narrow that scope down to\nDRM_IOCTL_I915_GEM_EXECBUFFER2, and ring_context_alloc(), specific to ring\nsubmission, in particular.\n\nIf successful then that function, or its execlists or GuC submission\nequivalent, is supposed to be called only once per GEM context engine,\nfollowed by raise of a flag that prevents the function from being called\nagain. The function is expected to unwind its internal errors itself, so\nit may be safely called once more after it returns an error.\n\nIn case of ring submission, the function first gets a reference to the\nengine\u0027s legacy timeline and then allocates a VMA. If the VMA allocation\nfails, e.g. when i915_vma_instance() called from inside is interrupted\nwith a signal, then ring_context_alloc() fails, leaving the timeline held\nreferenced. On next I915_GEM_EXECBUFFER2 IOCTL, another reference to the\ntimeline is got, and only that last one is put on successful completion.\nAs a consequence, the legacy timeline, with its underlying engine status\npage\u0027s VMA object, is still held and not released on driver unbind.\n\nGet the legacy timeline only after successful allocation of the context\nengine\u0027s VMA.\n\nv2: Add a note on other submission methods (Krzysztof Karas):\n Both execlists and GuC submission use lrc_alloc() which seems free\n from a similar issue.\n\n(cherry picked from commit cc43422b3cc79eacff4c5a8ba0d224688ca9dd4f)"

Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: typec: altmodes/displayport: do not index invalid pin_assignments
A poorly implemented DisplayPort Alt Mode port partner can indicate
that its pin assignment capabilities are greater than the maximum
value, DP_PIN_ASSIGN_F. In this case, calls to pin_assignment_show
will cause a BRK exception due to an out of bounds array access.
Prevent for loop in pin_assignment_show from accessing
invalid values in pin_assignments by adding DP_PIN_ASSIGN_MAX
value in typec_dp.h and using i < DP_PIN_ASSIGN_MAX as a loop
condition.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
NFSv4/pNFS: Fix a race to wake on NFS_LAYOUT_DRAIN
We found a few different systems hung up in writeback waiting on the same
page lock, and one task waiting on the NFS_LAYOUT_DRAIN bit in
pnfs_update_layout(), however the pnfs_layout_hdr's plh_outstanding count
was zero.
It seems most likely that this is another race between the waiter and waker
similar to commit ed0172af5d6f ("SUNRPC: Fix a race to wake a sync task").
Fix it up by applying the advised barrier.

Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
regulator: gpio: Fix the out-of-bounds access to drvdata::gpiods
drvdata::gpiods is supposed to hold an array of 'gpio_desc' pointers. But
the memory is allocated for only one pointer. This will lead to
out-of-bounds access later in the code if 'config::ngpios' is > 1. So
fix the code to allocate enough memory to hold 'config::ngpios' of GPIO
descriptors.
While at it, also move the check for memory allocation failure to be below
the allocation to make it more readable.
