Title
um: Add winch to winch_handlers before registering winch IRQ
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
um: Add winch to winch_handlers before registering winch IRQ
Registering a winch IRQ is racy, an interrupt may occur before the winch is
added to the winch_handlers list.
If that happens, register_winch_irq() adds to that list a winch that is
scheduled to be (or has already been) freed, causing a panic later in
winch_cleanup().
Avoid the race by adding the winch to the winch_handlers list before
registering the IRQ, and rolling back if um_request_irq() fails.

Once the early interrupt lands, the freed object stays linked in the global `winch_handlers` list deterministically, and the later dereference is delayed long enough for reliable heap grooming.
PR:L - No capability or credential check exists anywhere on the path from `open()` through `line_open()` → `line_activate()` → `register_winch_irq()`; only device-node permissions gate it, and a plain unprivileged guest user is sufficient both to open a console/serial line and to spray the `kmalloc-96` slab that reclaims the freed `struct winch`.
UI:N - Winch registration happens automatically when a configured console line is first opened (including at boot), and the attacker can drive that open themselves. No action by any other user is required.
S:U - The corruption and its impact are confined to the UML kernel's own memory and the process it already fully controls, which is standard in-kernel privilege escalation. No hypervisor, IOMMU, or sandbox authority boundary is crossed by the vulnerable component.
C:H - This is a use-after-free on a small, easily reclaimed slab object; the later walk of `winch_handlers` calls `tty_port_tty_get(winch->port)` on an attacker-controlled pointer, giving an arbitrary-dereference read primitive usable to disclose kernel memory.
I:H - The stale `list_add()` writes two pointers into freed (reclaimable) memory, and the later `free_winch()` performs `free_stack(winch->stack, 0)` on an attacker-controlled address plus a double `kfree()` and `os_kill_process(winch->pid, 1)`, yielding write/free primitives suitable for control-flow hijack.
A:H - The commit itself states the dangling list entry causes a panic in `winch_cleanup()`, and any use-after-free of this kind reliably produces an oops or kernel panic in the UML instance."

If p9_check_errors() fails early in p9_client_rpc(), req->rc.tag
will not be properly initialized. However, trace_9p_client_res()
ends up trying to print it out anyway before p9_client_rpc()
finishes.
Fix this issue by assigning default values to p9_fcall fields
such as 'tag' and (just in case KMSAN unearths something new) 'id'
during the tag allocation stage.

Title
io_uring: check for non-NULL file pointer in io_file_can_poll()
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
io_uring: check for non-NULL file pointer in io_file_can_poll()
In earlier kernels, it was possible to trigger a NULL pointer
dereference off the forced async preparation path, if no file had
been assigned. The trace leading to that looks as follows:
BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 00000000000000b0

because the request is marked forced ASYNC and has a bad file fd, and
hence takes the forced async prep path.
Current kernels with the request async prep cleaned up can no longer hit
this issue, but for ease of backporting, let's add this safety check in
here too as it really doesn't hurt. For both cases, this will inevitably
end with a CQE posted with -EBADF.

The root cause is we missed to do sanity check on i_xattr_nid during
f2fs_iget(), so that in fiemap() path, current_nat_addr() will access
nat_bitmap w/ offset from invalid i_xattr_nid, result in triggering
kasan bug report, fix it.

There is no race, no dependence on uncontrollable memory layout, and no non-default kernel config (fiemap and roll-forward recovery are both default-enabled).
PR:L - Once the image is mounted, any unprivileged user can trigger the out-of-bounds access with a plain `FS_IOC_FIEMAP` ioctl — there is no capability check anywhere on the path from `do_vfs_ioctl` through `f2fs_fiemap` to `current_nat_addr`. On Android (vold auto-mounts f2fs portable/adoptable storage) and desktop/kiosk systems (udisks2/polkit), an unprivileged console user gets the attacker's f2fs image mounted without root.
UI:N - The attacker supplies their own crafted image and issues the fiemap ioctl themselves; removable-media auto-mount by udisks2/vold happens without any deliberate victim action. The recovery-path variant likewise fires automatically during the mount the attacker caused.
S:U - The out-of-bounds read and the bit-flip write both stay inside the kernel's own address space and security authority; no VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.
C:H - This is a slab out-of-bounds read at an offset the attacker chooses byte-by-byte up to ~1.18 MB past a small `kmemdup`'d `nat_bitmap`, so it is not a strictly bounded few-byte read. The bit read back selects which NAT block is parsed, and the resulting `ni.blk_addr` is returned to userspace as the fiemap extent's physical address, turning it into a repeatable oracle that discloses adjacent heap contents — kernel pointers and other slab objects — defeating KASLR.
I:H - Via `f2fs_recover_xattr_data()` the bogus nid reaches `set_node_addr()`, which dirties a NAT set keyed on the out-of-range block offset; the next checkpoint then executes `f2fs_change_bit(block_off, nm_i->nat_bitmap)` in `set_to_next_nat()` and `__set_bit_le(nat_index, nm_i->empty_nat_bits)` in `__update_nat_bits()` — out-of-bounds heap writes at an attacker-chosen offset. A controlled single-bit flip into a groomed adjacent slab object (pointer, refcount, or credential/permission field) is a well-established privilege-escalation primitive.
A:H - The reported symptom is a KASAN slab-out-of-bounds report, which panics on `panic_on_warn`/hardened Android and cloud kernels; on non-KASAN kernels the read can walk into unmapped memory and oops. The out-of-bounds bit flips additionally corrupt the NAT bitmap and neighbouring heap objects, and `f2fs_bug_on`/`f2fs_handle_error` paths in the checkpoint flush stop the filesystem, so the crash is reliably re-triggerable."

Title
nilfs2: fix nilfs_empty_dir() misjudgment and long loop on I/O errors
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nilfs2: fix nilfs_empty_dir() misjudgment and long loop on I/O errors
The error handling in nilfs_empty_dir() when a directory folio/page read
fails is incorrect, as in the old ext2 implementation, and if the
folio/page cannot be read or nilfs_check_folio() fails, it will falsely
determine the directory as empty and corrupt the file system.
In addition, since nilfs_empty_dir() does not immediately return on a
failed folio/page read, but continues to loop, this can cause a long loop
with I/O if i_size of the directory's inode is also corrupted, causing the
log writer thread to wait and hang, as reported by syzbot.
Fix these issues by making nilfs_empty_dir() immediately return a false
value (0) if it fails to get a directory folio/page.
AV:L - The vulnerable code is reached through the local `rmdir(2)`/`rename(2)` syscall path on a mounted nilfs2 filesystem, with the malicious directory state supplied by a crafted nilfs2 image (automounted removable media, loop-mounted file, or admin-mounted volume). No network protocol handler is involved in the vulnerable function itself.
AC:L - The attacker fully controls the on-disk directory: setting a corrupt `rec_len`/alignment/inode number so `nilfs_check_folio()` deterministically fails, and setting a huge `i_size` (read unvalidated at `inode.c:412`) so `dir_pages()` yields ~2^51 iterations. Both the false "empty" verdict and the segctor-sem hang follow deterministically with no race, timing window, or memory-layout dependency.
PR:L - Once the filesystem is mounted, any ordinary unprivileged local user with write access to a directory on it triggers the bug with a single `rmdir()` or `rename()` — no capability, no root, and no `CAP_SYS_ADMIN` is needed for the triggering syscall itself.
UI:N - No action by a second user is required: on a kiosk, desktop, or embedded system with udisks2/systemd automount, inserting the crafted volume is performed by the attacker and mounting is done by a daemon, after which the attacker issues the `rmdir()` themselves.
S:U - The damage — corrupted nilfs2 metadata and a wedged log-writer thread — stays entirely within the kernel's own security authority on the affected host; no VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.
C:N - The defect is an incorrect boolean return, not a memory-safety violation: `nilfs_check_folio()` still bounds every entry walk, and the `fail:` label in `nilfs_get_folio()` already releases the folio, so there is no out-of-bounds read, no use-after-free, and no kernel pointer or adjacent-memory disclosure.
I:H - The false "directory is empty" verdict lets `nilfs_rmdir()` unlink a populated directory (`i_size = 0`, `drop_nlink()`) and lets `nilfs_rename()` overwrite one, orphaning the entire subtree and, as the fix states, corrupting the file system — silent, unauthorized destruction of stored data and metadata that the kernel then continues to operate on.
A:H - With a corrupted `i_size` the loop performs an effectively unbounded sequence of failing reads with no `cond_resched()` or signal check while holding `ns_segctor_sem` for read and `sb_start_intwrite()`, so the segctord log writer blocks forever on `down_write()` — the syzbot hung-task hang — stalling all writeback, sync, freeze, and umount on that filesystem and panicking the box if `hung_task_panic` is set."

Title
mm/vmalloc: fix vmalloc which may return null if called with __GFP_NOFAIL
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/vmalloc: fix vmalloc which may return null if called with __GFP_NOFAIL
commit a421ef303008 ("mm: allow !GFP_KERNEL allocations for kvmalloc")
includes support for __GFP_NOFAIL, but it presents a conflict with commit
dd544141b9eb ("vmalloc: back off when the current task is OOM-killed"). A
possible scenario is as follows:
process-a
__vmalloc_node_range(GFP_KERNEL | __GFP_NOFAIL)
__vmalloc_area_node()
vm_area_alloc_pages()
--> oom-killer send SIGKILL to process-a
if (fatal_signal_pending(current)) break;
--> return NULL;
To fix this, do not check fatal_signal_pending() in vm_area_alloc_pages()
if __GFP_NOFAIL set.
This issue occurred during OPLUS KASAN TEST. Below is part of the log
-> oom-killer sends signal to process

Title
fbdev: savage: Handle err return when savagefb_check_var failed
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fbdev: savage: Handle err return when savagefb_check_var failed
The commit 04e5eac8f3ab("fbdev: savage: Error out if pixclock equals zero")
checks the value of pixclock to avoid divide-by-zero error. However
the function savagefb_probe doesn't handle the error return of
savagefb_check_var. When pixclock is 0, it will cause divide-by-zero error.
