Title
llc: Drop support for ETH_P_TR_802_2.
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
llc: Drop support for ETH_P_TR_802_2.
syzbot reported an uninit-value bug below. [0]
llc supports ETH_P_802_2 (0x0004) and used to support ETH_P_TR_802_2
(0x0011), and syzbot abused the latter to trigger the bug.
write$tun(r0, &(0x7f0000000040)={@val={0x0, 0x11}, @val, @mpls={[], @llc={@snap={0xaa, 0x1, ')', "90e5dd"}}}}, 0x16)
llc_conn_handler() initialises local variables {saddr,daddr}.mac
based on skb in llc_pdu_decode_sa()/llc_pdu_decode_da() and passes
them to __llc_lookup().
However, the initialisation is done only when skb->protocol is
htons(ETH_P_802_2), otherwise, __llc_lookup_established() and
__llc_lookup_listener() will read garbage.
The missing initialisation existed prior to commit 211ed865108e
("net: delete all instances of special processing for token ring").
It removed the part to kick out the token ring stuff but forgot to
close the door allowing ETH_P_TR_802_2 packets to sneak into llc_rcv().
Let's remove llc_tr_packet_type and complete the deprecation.

Title
llc: make llc_ui_sendmsg() more robust against bonding changes
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
llc: make llc_ui_sendmsg() more robust against bonding changes
syzbot was able to trick llc_ui_sendmsg(), allocating an skb with no
headroom, but subsequently trying to push 14 bytes of Ethernet header [1]
Like some others, llc_ui_sendmsg() releases the socket lock before
calling sock_alloc_send_skb().
Then it acquires it again, but does not redo all the sanity checks
that were performed.
This fix:
- Uses LL_RESERVED_SPACE() to reserve space.
- Check all conditions again after socket lock is held again.
- Do not account Ethernet header for mtu limitation.

Title
tcp: add sanity checks to rx zerocopy
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tcp: add sanity checks to rx zerocopy
TCP rx zerocopy intent is to map pages initially allocated
from NIC drivers, not pages owned by a fs.
This patch adds to can_map_frag() these additional checks:
- Page must not be a compound one.
- page->mapping must be NULL.
This fixes the panic reported by ZhangPeng.
syzbot was able to loopback packets built with sendfile(),
mapping pages owned by an ext4 file to TCP rx zerocopy.
r3 = socket$inet_tcp(0x2, 0x1, 0x0)
mmap(&(0x7f0000ff9000/0x4000)=nil, 0x4000, 0x0, 0x12, r3, 0x0)
r4 = socket$inet_tcp(0x2, 0x1, 0x0)
AV:L - Triggering requires local syscalls on the attacker's own process — mmap() of a TCP socket, sendfile() of a page-cache-backed file over loopback, and getsockopt(TCP_ZEROCOPY_RECEIVE). A purely remote peer cannot supply page-cache or compound pages into the receive frags, since those come from the local NIC/page_pool allocator.
AC:L - The syzbot reproducer is fully deterministic with no race window and no dependence on memory layout: sendfile() guarantees PAGE_SIZE frags at offset 0 pointing at ext4 page-cache pages, and loopback delivers them unchanged to the same socket's receive queue. Follow-on inode eviction is likewise triggered on demand by the attacker via O_TRUNC/unlink+close.
PR:L - Every step is available to an ordinary unprivileged user — tcp_mmap() performs no capability check, TCP_ZEROCOPY_RECEIVE is unconditionally compiled in under CONFIG_MMU, and sendfile() on a file the user owns needs no privilege. No CAP_NET_ADMIN or namespace trickery is required at all.
UI:N - A single unprivileged process performs the entire sequence against itself via a loopback self-connect; no victim process must be running, and no administrator or user action is needed.
S:U - The corruption is confined to the kernel's own page-cache/rmap accounting and the attacking process's address space, managed by the same security authority. There is no crossing of a VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary.
C:H - Because the page is mapped outside the inode's i_mmap tree, filemap_unaccount_folio()'s recovery path resets mapcount and subtracts the PTE's reference, letting the page be freed and reallocated while the attacker retains a valid read-only PTE to it — an arbitrary-read window into whatever kernel data (slab objects, page tables, other processes' pages) subsequently occupies that physical page.
I:H - The dropped reference plus the later munmap-time page_remove_rmap()/put_page() drives _mapcount and the page refcount negative, producing a double-free of a buddy-allocator page that can be handed out twice and used as a write primitive into kernel-owned memory. The mismatched rmap/_nr_pages_mapped accounting for compound folios corrupts kernel state directly.
A:H - This is exactly the reported crash — truncating the file makes filemap_unaccount_folio() hit VM_BUG_ON_FOLIO(folio_mapped(folio)) and panic the kernel; on non-DEBUG_VM builds it produces "BUG: Bad page cache"/bad-page-state taints and freelist corruption that destabilizes the whole system."

ip6_tunnel: make sure to pull inner header in __ip6_tnl_rcv()
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ip6_tunnel: make sure to pull inner header in __ip6_tnl_rcv()
syzbot found __ip6_tnl_rcv() could access unitiliazed data [1].
Call pskb_inet_may_pull() to fix this, and initialize ipv6h
variable after this call as it can change skb->head.
AV:N - The vulnerable code is in the IPv6 tunnel receive path, reached directly from `ipv6_rcv()` → `ip6_protocol_deliver_rcu()` → `gre_rcv()`/`ip6ip6_rcv()`/`ip4ip6_rcv()` when a host has an ip6tnl, ip6gre, ERSPAN or collect_md tunnel endpoint configured. A remote attacker triggers it purely by sending a crafted IPv6 packet (proto 47/41/4/137) with a truncated inner header.
AC:L - The attacker fully controls the packet: simply emitting an outer IPv6+GRE header with zero/short inner payload deterministically reaches `dscp_ecn_decapsulate()` with the inner header absent from the linear area. No race, no memory-layout grooming, and no condition outside the attacker's control is required.
PR:N - Tunnel decapsulation is completely unauthenticated — `ip6_tnl_rcv_ctl()`/`ip6_tnl_lookup()` only compare addresses and keys, and wildcard, `collect_md` and fallback tunnels match arbitrary sources. The attacker needs no account or credentials on the target.
UI:N - Processing happens automatically in softirq context when the packet is received; no local user has to open, mount, or click anything.
S:U - The uninitialized read and the out-of-bounds DSCP write are confined to kernel memory managed by the same kernel security authority; no VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.
C:L - KMSAN confirms uninitialized kernel heap memory is read and consumed by `__INET_ECN_decapsulate()`, and the outcome is remotely observable (packet dropped vs. delivered, plus the ratelimited "non-ECT from %pI6 with DS=%#x" log), giving a repeatable oracle over stale heap contents. The exposure is strictly bounded to a couple of bytes within the skb's own buffer rather than an arbitrary read.
I:L - On tunnels configured with `IP6_TNL_F_RCV_DSCP_COPY`, `ipv6_change_dsfield()`/`ipv4_change_dsfield()` perform an unchecked read-modify-write beyond the packet data (unlike the bounds-checked `INET_ECN_set_ce()`), modifying kernel memory that does not belong to the packet — in the zero-tailroom case the first bytes of `struct skb_shared_info`. The corruption is a few bytes at a fixed offset, not an arbitrary write.
A:H - The unchecked DSCP write can land on `skb_shared_info`'s `meta_len` and `frag_list` pointer bytes, corrupting a kernel pointer that is later dereferenced during skb traversal/free, yielding an oops; garbage-driven ECN decisions additionally cause spurious `rx_frame_errors` drops of tunnel traffic, and the condition is a hard KMSAN/instrumented-kernel abort. Any unauthenticated remote peer can repeat it indefinitely."

Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: don't abort filesystem when attempting to snapshot deleted subvolume
If the source file descriptor to the snapshot ioctl refers to a deleted
subvolume, we get the following abort:

BTRFS warning (device vdc: state EA): Skipping commit of aborted transaction.
BTRFS: error (device vdc: state EA) in cleanup_transaction:2055: errno=-2 No such entry
This happens because create_pending_snapshot() initializes the new root
item as a copy of the source root item. This includes the refs field,
which is 0 for a deleted subvolume. The call to btrfs_insert_root()
therefore inserts a root with refs == 0. btrfs_get_new_fs_root() then
finds the root and returns -ENOENT if refs == 0, which causes
create_pending_snapshot() to abort.
Fix it by checking the source root's refs before attempting the
snapshot, but after locking subvol_sem to avoid racing with deletion.

Title
tracing: Ensure visibility when inserting an element into tracing_map
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tracing: Ensure visibility when inserting an element into tracing_map
Running the following two commands in parallel on a multi-processor
AArch64 machine can sporadically produce an unexpected warning about
duplicate histogram entries:
$ while true; do
echo hist:key=id.syscall:val=hitcount > \
/sys/kernel/debug/tracing/events/raw_syscalls/sys_enter/trigger
cat /sys/kernel/debug/tracing/events/raw_syscalls/sys_enter/hist
sleep 0.001
done
$ stress-ng --sysbadaddr $(nproc)

The problem appears to be caused by CPU reordering of writes issued from
__tracing_map_insert().
The check for the presence of an element with a given key in this
function is:
val = READ_ONCE(entry->val);
if (val && keys_match(key, val->key, map->key_size)) ...
The write of a new entry is:
elt = get_free_elt(map);
memcpy(elt->key, key, map->key_size);
entry->val = elt;
The "memcpy(elt->key, key, map->key_size);" and "entry->val = elt;"
stores may become visible in the reversed order on another CPU. This
second CPU might then incorrectly determine that a new key doesn't match
an already present val->key and subse

Title
drm/amd/display: Implement bounds check for stream encoder creation in DCN301
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amd/display: Implement bounds check for stream encoder creation in DCN301
'stream_enc_regs' array is an array of dcn10_stream_enc_registers
structures. The array is initialized with four elements, corresponding
to the four calls to stream_enc_regs() in the array initializer. This
means that valid indices for this array are 0, 1, 2, and 3.
The error message 'stream_enc_regs' 4 <= 5 below, is indicating that
there is an attempt to access this array with an index of 5, which is
out of bounds. This could lead to undefined behavior
Here, eng_id is used as an index to access the stream_enc_regs array. If
eng_id is 5, this would result in an out-of-bounds access on the
stream_enc_regs array.
Thus fixing Buffer overflow error in dcn301_stream_encoder_create
reported by Smatch:
drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/resource/dcn301/dcn301_resource.c:1011 dcn301_stream_encoder_create() error: buffer overflow 'stream_enc_regs' 4 <= 5

The cause of this issue is that when tipc_nl_bearer_add() is called with
the TIPC_NLA_BEARER_UDP_OPTS attribute, tipc_udp_nl_bearer_add() is called
even if the bearer is not UDP.
tipc_udp_is_known_peer() called by tipc_udp_nl_bearer_add() assumes that
the media_ptr field of the tipc_bearer has an udp_bearer type object, so
the function goes crazy for non-UDP bearers.
This patch fixes the issue by checking the bearer type before calling
tipc_udp_nl_bearer_add() in tipc_nl_bearer_add().

There is no network, adjacent-network, or removable-device path into this hwmon driver.
AC:L - On an affected target (an Intel package with more than 128 cores, e.g. 144-core Sierra Forest sockets) the out-of-bounds write is fully deterministic — it fires on every boot and on every CPU-online cycle once the IDA index passes 127, with no race, no grooming, and no per-attempt uncertainty. Target-configuration/hardware dependence is not AC:H under CVSS 3.1.
PR:L - The driver performs no capability or credential check anywhere on the `coretemp_cpu_online()` → `coretemp_add_core()` → `create_core_data()` path; the corruption occurs during ordinary CPU bring-up with no privilege held at all, and the runtime re-trigger is CPU hotplug. Scoring the more severe of the arguable options (boot/module-load-reachable by a low-privileged local presence) rather than requiring full root.
UI:N - CPU onlining and coretemp initialization happen automatically as part of normal system startup and hotplug handling. No victim action of any kind is required.
S:U - The out-of-bounds write corrupts fields inside the kernel's own `struct platform_data` allocation and the follow-on damage stays in kernel slab memory on the same host. No VM, IOMMU, or sandbox security boundary is crossed.
C:H - Indices 135–138 overwrite `ida.xa.xa_head` two bytes at a time, leaving a near-valid kernel pointer that the next `ida_alloc_range()` dereferences via `xas_find_marked()`/`find_next_zero_bit()`, reading arbitrary kernel slab memory as an `xa_node`/`ida_bitmap`. The corrupted `pd->cpumask` also redirects `rdmsr_on_cpu()` targets for the sysfs temperature readers.
I:H - This is an out-of-bounds write that clobbers a live kernel pointer, the xarray spinlock and flags, and the CPU mask inside `struct platform_data`. The resulting type confusion lets `__set_bit()` in `ida_alloc_range()` write into misinterpreted kernel memory, and corrupted `core_data[]`/cpumask state can drive bogus `kfree()` and stale-sysfs teardown in `coretemp_remove_core()`.
A:H - Once `xa_head` is corrupted, the next IDA operation walks a garbage or non-canonical pointer, producing an immediate oops or GP fault; corrupting the xarray spinlock can also wedge the hotplug path. Any of these is a kernel crash or hang."

tunnels: fix out of bounds access when building IPv6 PMTU error
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tunnels: fix out of bounds access when building IPv6 PMTU error
AV:N - The overread is triggered by an ordinary over-MTU IPv6 packet forwarded out a VXLAN/Geneve device enslaved to a bridge or OVS port, a standard cloud/container overlay topology. The L3 source address is unconstrained (only unspecified/multicast/loopback sources are filtered), so an off-link remote sender whose packet is routed to a workload behind the overlay reaches the vulnerable code.
AC:L - The attacker only needs to send an IPv6 packet larger than the tunnel's inner MTU; non-linear skbs are the normal case for large frames under GRO, header-split NICs, and virtio-net mergeable buffers, and the reporter reproduced it with plain netperf traffic. No memory-layout luck or attacker-uncontrollable state is required.
PR:N - There is no capability check, authentication, or credential gate anywhere on the receive-and-bridge-to-tunnel path — the packet is simply forwarded and the ICMPv6 error is built. The attacker needs no account or privileges on the affected host.
UI:N - Exploitation is entirely packet-driven and happens inside softirq/xmit context with no victim participation. No administrator or user action is needed once the standard bridged-tunnel configuration is in place.
S:U - The out-of-bounds read and its consequences are confined to the host kernel that contains the defective checksum call. The vulnerable and impacted components are the same security authority; no VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.
C:H - csum_partial() reads a fixed 1240 bytes from a linear buffer that may hold only tens of bytes, overreading up to roughly a kilobyte of adjacent kernel slab memory — far beyond a "few bytes." Worse, the folded result is placed in the ICMPv6 checksum field and transmitted back to the attacker, yielding a repeatable oracle over kernel heap contents that heap grooming can turn into a real disclosure.
I:N - The defect is a read-only overrun; no kernel memory is written, no bounds are exceeded on a store, and there is no type confusion or control-flow influence. The only consequence for state is an incorrect checksum on an outgoing packet, which the receiver discards.
A:H - Reading up to ~1KB past the end of a slab allocation can walk off the backing pages into unmapped memory, faulting in softirq context and oopsing the kernel. On KASAN or panic_on_oops/hardened kernels the access panics the machine outright, and the attacker can repeat it at will with a stream of oversized packets."
