ALSA-2026:0845
Vulnerability from osv_almalinux – Published: 2026-01-20 00:00 – Updated: 2026-01-21 10:45 – Source websiteBrotli is a generic-purpose lossless compression algorithm that compresses data using a combination of a modern variant of the LZ77 algorithm, Huffman coding and 2nd order context modeling, with a compression ratio comparable to the best currently available general-purpose compression methods. It is similar in speed with deflate but offers more dense compression.
Security Fix(es):
- Scrapy: python-scrapy: brotli: Python brotli decompression bomb DoS (CVE-2025-6176)
For more details about the security issue(s), including the impact, a CVSS score, acknowledgments, and other related information, refer to the CVE page(s) listed in the References section.
