CVE-2026-120057 (GCVE-0-2026-120057)

Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-11-02 19:09 – Updated: 2026-11-02 19:43

Title
psqlODBC large-object read overflows the application buffer
Summary
psqlODBC copies the reply to a large-object read (loread) into the application's buffer using the length sent by the server, without comparing it to the buffer size. A server not trusted under current SSL settings, or a man-in-the-middle, can return more bytes than the buffer holds and overwrite adjacent memory in the client process with server-chosen bytes. Fetching any large-object column is sufficient to trigger it. Versions before psqlODBC 18.00.0006 are affected.

A server not trusted under current SSL settings, or a man-in-the-middle, can return more bytes than the buffer holds and overwrite adjacent memory in the client process with server-chosen bytes. Drag nodes to arrange them. Double-click a related vulnerability to open it, or a source to visit its link. The Physics button on the left tunes the layout and the simulation; the legend at the bottom left hides or shows nodes by kind and by sighting type.

Forecast uses a logistic model when the trend is rising, or an exponential decay model when the trend is falling. Fitted via linearized least squares.

    Related by attack behaviour

Vulnerabilities whose description is nearest to this one in the vector space of the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-biencoder model. This is a similarity search over the bi-encoder space (plain cosine), not a classification, and it has no measured accuracy.
