In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

ice: fix NULL access of tx->in_use in ice_ll_ts_intr

Recent versions of the E810 firmware have support for an extra interrupt to
handle report of the "low latency" Tx timestamps coming from the
specialized low latency firmware interface. Instead of polling the
registers, software can wait until the low latency interrupt is fired.

This logic makes use of the Tx timestamp tracking structure, ice_ptp_tx, as
it uses the same "ready" bitmap to track which Tx timestamps complete.

Unfortunately, the ice_ll_ts_intr() function does not check if the
tracker is initialized before its first access. This results in NULL
dereference or use-after-free bugs similar to the issues fixed in the
ice_ptp_ts_irq() function.

Fix this by only checking the in_use bitmap (and other fields) if the
tracker is marked as initialized. The reset flow will clear the init field
under lock before it tears the tracker down, thus preventing any
use-after-free or NULL access.
AV:L - Triggering requires local access to the host to drive both sides of the race — issuing device resets on the ice PF and generating hardware Tx timestamp requests; there is no remote packet path that alone reaches the teardown window.
AC:L - The attacker controls both racing sides and can repeat them indefinitely (loop `ethtool --reset` CORER/GLOBR while sustaining Tx-timestamped traffic), and the vulnerable window is wide because `synchronize_irq()` covers only the OICR vector and the frees occur entirely outside `tx->lock`.
PR:L - Reset requests go through CAP_NET_ADMIN-gated ethtool/devlink operations, which this CNA treats as low privilege (cf. CVE-2025-39875), while the timestamp-request side is available to any local unprivileged socket once hwtstamping is enabled.
UI:N - No victim action is needed; the reset and the timestamp traffic are both initiated by the attacker and the interrupt fires from firmware autonomously.
S:U - The corruption is confined to kernel memory within the same security authority; no VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.
C:H - The commit explicitly states the defect causes use-after-free, and the handler reads the freed `in_use` bitmap and freed `tstamps` array after slab reuse, so contents of an attacker-groomable reallocated object are read and acted upon, enabling kernel memory disclosure.
I:H - The handler performs `clear_bit()` and `tx->tstamps[idx].skb = NULL` writes into freed slab memory and calls `dev_kfree_skb_any()` on a pointer read from that freed memory, giving write-after-free and arbitrary-free primitives suitable for heap corruption and control-flow hijack.
A:H - The immediate and reproduced effect is a NULL pointer dereference in a hard IRQ handler (`_find_first_bit` from the ice interrupt path), producing an oops/panic and taking the machine down.

This results in NULL
dereference or use-after-free bugs similar to the issues fixed in the
ice_ptp_ts_irq() function.

Fix this by only checking the in_use bitmap (and other fields) if the
tracker is marked as initialized. The reset flow will clear the init field
under lock before it tears the tracker down, thus preventing any
use-after-free or NULL access."

Nomenclature
- Seen: The vulnerability was mentioned, discussed, or observed by the user.
- Confirmed: The vulnerability has been validated from an analyst's perspective.
- Published Proof of Concept: A public proof of concept is available for this vulnerability.
- Exploited: The vulnerability was observed as exploited by the user who reported the sighting.
- Patched: The vulnerability was observed as successfully patched by the user who reported the sighting.
- Not exploited: The vulnerability was not observed as exploited by the user who reported the sighting.
- Not confirmed: The user expressed doubt about the validity of the vulnerability.
- Not patched: The vulnerability was not observed as successfully patched by the user who reported the sighting.

How durations are calculated
Following the VTEM framework (Black Hat USA 2015), time to patch starts when the vendor or a coordinator was informed, total time to patch at discovery, and disclosure to patch at public disclosure; vendor response time runs from the report to its acknowledgement. Time to exploit and time unpatched start at the earliest discovery or report, falling back to public disclosure. Unpatched time ends at the first recorded patch, or the calculation time when no patch is recorded. Exploitation to patch shows the interval between those two events; a published proof of concept is a public exploit, not exploitation.
Each result shows its source dates. A negative interval means the end event came first; when date-only inputs leave the order open, the result says so. Date-only inputs are approximate. The earliest evidence wins: KEV report dates and sightings are labelled as such. Records describing another vulnerability are listed but never calculated from, and a PoC alone does not establish exploitation. Missing patch evidence does not prove that no patch exists. Filters below change the event list only.

Vulnerabilities whose description is nearest to this one in the vector space of the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-biencoder model. This is a similarity search over the bi-encoder space (plain cosine), not a classification, and it has no measured accuracy.
