Title
kcm: Serialise kcm_sendmsg() for the same socket.
Summary
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kcm: Serialise kcm_sendmsg() for the same socket. syzkaller reported UAF in kcm_release(). [0] The scenario is 1. Thread A builds a skb with MSG_MORE and sets kcm->seq_skb. 2. Thread A resumes building skb from kcm->seq_skb but is blocked by sk_stream_wait_memory() 3. Thread B calls sendmsg() concurrently, finishes building kcm->seq_skb and puts the skb to the write queue 4. Thread A faces an error and finally frees skb that is already in the write queue 5. kcm_release() does double-free the skb in the write queue When a thread is building a MSG_MORE skb, another thread must not touch it. Let's add a per-sk mutex and serialise kcm_sendmsg(). Local code execution on the system is required.
AC:L - The attacker controls both sides of the race (two threads on one fd it owns) and controls the blocking window itself by shrinking `SO_SNDBUF` so `sk_stream_wait_memory()` reliably blocks with the sock lock dropped; syzbot reproduced it and confirmed the fix.
PR:L - `kcm_create()` performs no `capable()`/`ns_capable()` check and `__sock_create()` autoloads `net-pf-41` without a capability gate, so any unprivileged local user can open a PF_KCM socket; no psock attach or CAP_NET_ADMIN is needed since the corrupted skb is purged at `kcm_release()`.
UI:N - The attacker's own two threads perform every step — create the socket, race the sendmsg calls, and close the fd. No victim action is involved.
S:U - The use-after-free and double free are confined to kernel heap within the same security authority; no VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.
C:H - A freed `skbuff_head_cache` object stays linked in `sk_write_queue`, so its reclaimed contents are read back and, with an attached psock, `kcm_write_msgs()` can transmit the freed skb's frags to the peer — leaking kernel heap; a UAF of this shape is a general arbitrary-read primitive.
I:H - `__skb_unlink()` on the freed skb writes through attacker-reclaimable `next`/`prev` pointers (`next->prev = prev; prev->next = next`), yielding a write-what-where primitive, compounded by a genuine double free of the skb — both are exploitable for control-flow hijack and privilege escalation.
A:H - The reported KASAN slab-use-after-free in `kcm_release()` plus the double free corrupt the skb list and slab freelist, causing kernel oops/panic; any unprivileged user can trigger this repeatedly."

Vulnerabilities whose description is nearest to this one in the vector space of the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-biencoder model. This is a similarity search over the bi-encoder space (plain cosine), not a classification, and it has no measured accuracy.
