Title
Everest Forms – Contact Form, Payment Form, Quiz, Survey & Custom Form Builder with AI <= 3.5.2 - Missing Authorization to Authenticated (Delegated+) Arbitrary Plugin Activation via REST API and AJAX Endpoints
Summary
The Everest Forms – Contact Form, Payment Form, Quiz, Survey & Custom Form Builder with AI plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 3.5.2. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with delegated form management access and above, to activate arbitrary already-installed WordPress plugins — including previously deactivated or vulnerable plugins — without holding the core activate_plugins capability. Exploitation requires the target user to hold a delegated Everest Forms capability (manage_everest_forms, everest_forms_create_forms, or everest_forms_view_forms), which the plugin's own roles and permissions tool allows administrators to assign to non-administrator roles such as Author; the nonces required to exploit the AJAX handlers are emitted on EVF admin pages accessible to any such delegated user.

Title
StoreGrowth: Smart Sales Booster for WooCommerce | BOGO, Upsells, Direct Checkout, Quick View, Side Cart <= 2.1.0 - Missing Authorization to Unauthenticated Arbitrary Plugin Settings Modification via bogo_category_msg_create AJAX Action
Summary
The Storegrowth Sales Booster plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in versions up to and including 2.1.0. This is due to a missing capability check on the bogo_category_msg_create() AJAX handler, which is registered for both authenticated (wp_ajax_) and unauthenticated (wp_ajax_nopriv_) users and only validates a nonce ('ajd_protected') that is emitted publicly via wp_localize_script() on every frontend page through front_scripts() . This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify the plugin's BOGO category-message configuration stored in the spsg_bogo_general_settings option by reading the nonce from any public page and POSTing attacker-controlled data to admin-ajax.

Title
Local File Disclosure in MongoDB Server via MozJS Scripting Engine Module Loader
Summary
A vulnerability was discovered in MongoDB Server where the server-side MozJS scripting engine unconditionally registered a module loading hook that enables JavaScript calls to read arbitrary files from the host filesystem using the mongod process's privileges. An authenticated user could exploit this through crafted aggregation pipeline commands to read sensitive files accessible to the MongoDB server process.

Title
Eventin 4.0.26 - 4.1.15 - Missing Authorization to Unauthenticated Payment Bypass via REST API
Summary
The Eventin – Event Calendar, Event Registration, Tickets & Booking (AI Powered) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass due to a regression in versions from 4.0.26 up to and including 4.1.15. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action in the payment_complete() function of PaymentController.php. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to mark unpaid ticket orders as completed by submitting a fabricated SureCart checkout ID or FluentCart cart hash, granting themselves paid event access, QR-code attendee tickets, and order confirmation emails without making any real payment. The wp_rest nonce required to reach the vulnerable endpoint is embedded in every public event page, meaning no WordPress session or credentials are needed to obtain it. This vulnerability represents a regression — the same function and endpoint were previously patched but the fix did not persist through subsequent releases.

WCFM – Frontend Manager for WooCommerce <= 6.7.27 - Missing Authorization to Unauthenticated Arbitrary Inquiry Reply Injection via wcfm-my-account-enquiry-manage Controller
Summary
The WCFM – Frontend Manager for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 6.7.27. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary reply content into any store inquiry, overwrite the main inquiry record in wp_wcfm_enquiries, and trigger unsolicited notification emails to customers and vendors. Unlike sibling controller branches (wcfm-enquiry and wcfm-enquiry-manage), the wcfm-my-account-enquiry-manage branch performs no is_user_logged_in() or current_user_can() check, and the nonce that serves as the sole barrier is embedded into every public page load without any login gate.

Title
Eventin <= 4.1.22 - Missing Authorization to Unauthenticated Arbitrary Order Creation and Status Manipulation via 'status' Parameter
Summary
The WP Event Solution (Eventin) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in versions up to, and including, 4.1.22 via the create_item() handler for the /wp-json/eventin/v2/orders REST endpoint. The endpoint's create_item_permissions_check() function only verifies a wp_rest nonce (which is leaked to every visitor through the etn-public script's localized_data_obj on every frontend page) and accepts a user-supplied 'status' value in prepare_item_for_database() with no whitelist validation. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to create etn-order posts with status='completed' that are counted as sold by etn_get_sold_tickets_by_event(); because the auto-cleanup wp_schedule_single_event() in create_item() only fires for status='pending' orders, the forged completed orders persist indefinitely and exhaust ticket inventory.

Title
Cookie Banner for GDPR / CCPA <= 4.3.6 - Missing Authorization to Authenticated (Subscriber+) Scan Schedule Modification via gcc_save_schedule_scan AJAX Action
Summary
The GDPR Cookie Consent plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to a missing capability check and missing nonce verification on the gdpr_cookie_consent_ajax_save_schedule_scan() function (the wp_ajax_gcc_save_schedule_scan AJAX action) in versions up to, and including, 4.3.6. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to modify the plugin's cookie scan schedule configuration stored in the gdpr_scan_schedule_data option, which is an administrative function intended to be limited to users with the manage_options capability.

Title
Kadence Blocks <= 3.7.7 - Missing Authorization to Authenticated (Contributor+) Arbitrary Media Attachment Creation via kadence_import_process_pattern/kadence_import_process_data AJAX Actions
Summary
The Kadence Blocks — Page Builder Toolkit for Gutenberg Editor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 3.7.7. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to create arbitrary Media Library attachments by downloading remote images to the site's uploads directory via wp_upload_bits() and wp_insert_attachment(), bypassing the upload_files capability boundary.

CVE-2026-12853 (GCVE-0-2026-12853)

Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-09-07 12:29 – Updated: 2026-09-08 16:55

Title
Flamingo <= 2.6.2 - Authenticated (Contributor+) Missing Authorization to Unauthorized Tag Information Disclosure via wp.getTerms and ajax-tag-search
Summary
The Flamingo plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 2.6.2. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to enumerate taxonomy terms including channel names derived from Contact Form 7 form titles that may reveal internal form purposes, department names, or workflow identifiers, as well as submission counts per channel and contact tag names. The plugin's flamingo_map_meta_cap() filter restricts access to Flamingo's admin UI but does not extend to WordPress core APIs such as XML-RPC wp.getTerms and admin-ajax ajax-tag-search.

Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • Divide the product into anonymous, normal, privileged, and administrative areas. Reduce the attack surface by carefully mapping roles with data and functionality. Use role-based access control (RBAC) [REF-229] to enforce the roles at the appropriate boundaries.
  • Note that this approach may not protect against horizontal authorization, i.e., it will not protect a user from attacking others with the same role.
Mitigation
Architecture and Design

Ensure that access control checks are performed related to the business logic. These checks may be different than the access control checks that are applied to more generic resources such as files, connections, processes, memory, and database records. For example, a database may restrict access for medical records to a specific database user, but each record might only be intended to be accessible to the patient and the patient's doctor [REF-7].

Mitigation MIT-4.4
Architecture and Design

Strategy: Libraries or Frameworks

  • Use a vetted library or framework that does not allow this weakness to occur or provides constructs that make this weakness easier to avoid.
  • For example, consider using authorization frameworks such as the JAAS Authorization Framework [REF-233] and the OWASP ESAPI Access Control feature [REF-45].
Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • For web applications, make sure that the access control mechanism is enforced correctly at the server side on every page. Users should not be able to access any unauthorized functionality or information by simply requesting direct access to that page.
  • One way to do this is to ensure that all pages containing sensitive information are not cached, and that all such pages restrict access to requests that are accompanied by an active and authenticated session token associated with a user who has the required permissions to access that page.
Mitigation
System Configuration Installation

Use the access control capabilities of your operating system and server environment and define your access control lists accordingly. Use a "default deny" policy when defining these ACLs.

CAPEC-665: Exploitation of Thunderbolt Protection Flaws

An adversary leverages a firmware weakness within the Thunderbolt protocol, on a computing device to manipulate Thunderbolt controller firmware in order to exploit vulnerabilities in the implementation of authorization and verification schemes within Thunderbolt protection mechanisms. Upon gaining physical access to a target device, the adversary conducts high-level firmware manipulation of the victim Thunderbolt controller SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) flash, through the use of a SPI Programing device and an external Thunderbolt device, typically as the target device is booting up. If successful, this allows the adversary to modify memory, subvert authentication mechanisms, spoof identities and content, and extract data and memory from the target device. Currently 7 major vulnerabilities exist within Thunderbolt protocol with 9 attack vectors as noted in the Execution Flow.
