Contest Gallery <= 30.0.2 - Authenticated (Author+) Privilege Escalation via 'RegistryUserRole' Parameter
Summary
The Contest Gallery – Upload & Vote Photos, Media, Sell with PayPal & Stripe plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 30.0.2 via the `RegistryUserRole` parameter. This is due to the plugin's admin menu being registered at the `edit_posts` capability level — granting Contributor-level users access to the plugin's admin pages and a valid `cg_admin` nonce — while the option-saving handler in `change-options-and-sizes.php` performs no `current_user_can()` capability check beyond `check_admin_referer('cg_admin')`, and the `RegistryUserRole` value is processed only through `sanitize_text_field()` and `htmlentities()` without restriction to an allowlist of permitted role names. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to overwrite the plugin's stored `RegistryUserRole` option with `administrator`, which the `cg_create_wp_user_from_google_user` function then reads back from the `contest_gal1ery_registry_and_login_options` database table without any allowlist validation and passes directly to `wp_update_user()`, effectively promoting a newly registered Google sign-in account to Administrator.

Wholesale for WooCommerce <= 2.0.5 - Authenticated (Author+) Privilege Escalation via 'user_role_set' Parameter
Summary
The Wholesale for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.5. This is due to the `save_requests_meta()` function applying only `sanitize_text_field()` to the `user_role_set` POST parameter before passing it directly to `WP_User::add_role()`, with no allowlist validation against permitted wholesale roles and no capability check such as `current_user_can('promote_users')` or `current_user_can('manage_options')`. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with author-level access and above to escalate their privileges to administrator by supplying `administrator` as the `user_role_set` value in a crafted request. The function is gated only by a nonce (`request_user_role_nonce`) that is rendered in the meta box on the `wwp_requests` post edit screen; because the post type is registered with `capability_type => 'post'`, any author-level user who has authored a `wwp_requests` post — such as one created via the wholesale registration form — can access this nonce and submit the role-assignment request.

Events Calendar for GeoDirectory <= 2.3.28 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Privilege Escalation
Summary
The Events Calendar for GeoDirectory plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in versions up to and including 2.3.28. This is due to the ajax_ayi_action() handler only applying strip_tags(esc_sql()) — with no allow-list — to the attacker-controlled $_POST['type'] and $_POST['postid'] values before forwarding them to update_ayi_data(), which calls update_user_meta($current_user->ID, $rsvp_args['type'], $posts). By passing type=wp_capabilities and postid=administrator, an attacker writes ['subscriber'=>true,'administrator'=>'administrator'] into their own wp_capabilities user meta; WP_User::get_role_caps() then treats the 'administrator' array key as an active role on the next request. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to elevate their privileges to Administrator.

Title
Path Traversal in Altium Enterprise Server Collaboration Service Allows Privilege Escalation
Summary
A path traversal vulnerability exists in the Altium Enterprise Server Collaboration Service due to improper handling of user-supplied filenames in the MCAD and Simulation file download flows. A regular authenticated user can submit a collaboration message containing a crafted filename, which is later used to construct the download path on the server without validation, allowing arbitrary files to be read from the server filesystem. Because the readable files include the server's master configuration, which stores credentials for privileged accounts, exploitation can lead to authenticating as a system administrator and gaining full control of the server. Altium 365 cloud deployments are not affected.

Title
MISP user edit endpoint mass assignment vulnerability allows unauthorized user account modification
Summary
A mass assignment vulnerability exists in the MISP user edit functionality due to insufficient filtering of user-supplied fields in UsersController::edit(). When processing edit requests, the application accepted a user-controlled User.id value from request data. An authenticated attacker could craft a modified request containing another user identifier, potentially causing updates to be applied to an unintended user account. Depending on the editable fields and the attacker’s privileges, this could allow unauthorized modification of user account attributes and impact account integrity. The issue was addressed by explicitly removing the User.id field from request data before processing the user edit operation.

The Backstage - Customizer Demo Access plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.2. This is due to the plugin assigning the `manage_options` capability to the `backstage_customizer_user` demo role, which is more permissive than necessary for Customizer-only demo access. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to navigate beyond the Customizer and update arbitrary WordPress options such as `default_role`, leading to privilege escalation.

NitroSense V3: Security Vulnerability Information
Summary
A Local Privilege Escalation (LPE) vulnerability affects Acer NitroSense software versions prior to 3.01.3052. The vulnerability stems from the the PSAdminAgent service, which creates a Named Pipe with a weak Access Control List (ACL). This allows any authenticated local user to connect and send commands. Because the service does not check the caller's privileges before running file deletion commands, a low-privileged local user can exploit this to delete arbitrary files with system authority.

Title
Acer Care Center creates a Named Pipe with a weak Security Descriptor
Summary
A security vulnerability has been identified in Acer Care Center where the ACCSvc service creates a Named Pipe with a weak Security Descriptor. This vulnerability allows an authenticated local user to connect and send a specially crafted message (message type 0x03) to the pipe, causing the service to crash with exit code 1067 (ERROR_PROCESS_ABORTED). To mitigate this potential local service disruption, Acer requires users to update the software to the latest version.
