VAR-201903-1776
Vulnerability from variot - Updated: 2022-05-04 10:15This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Samsung Galaxy S8. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must answer a phone call. The specific flaw exists within the handling of Status Information Elements. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length, stack-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code under the context of the baseband processor.
