DESCRIPTION: Hitachi has acknowledged a security issue in Hitachi Web Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restriction.

The security issue is caused due to an unspecified error when processing the certificate revocation list of SSL client certificates, which can be exploited to e.g. pass the SSL client authentication with certificates registered in certificate revocation lists.

Please see the vendor's advisory for a list of affected products and versions.

SOLUTION: Apply patches as soon as available. Do not rely on the correct processing of certificate revocation lists. Please see the vendor's advisory for fix information.

PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY: Reported by the vendor.
