VAR-200208-0044
Vulnerability from variot - Updated: 2025-04-03 22:26Buffer overflow in WS_FTP FTP Server 3.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via a long SITE CPWD command. Ipswitch WS_FTP Server, is a FTP server for Microsoft Windows platforms. Oversized parameters may corrupt process memory, possibly leading to the execution of arbitrary code as the server process. This issue has been reported in WS_FTP Server 3.1.1. Earlier versions may share this vulnerability, this has not however been confirmed. Progress Software Ipswitch WS_FTP Server is a set of FTP server software developed by Progress Software Company in the United States. It provides functions such as file transfer control and transfer encryption. A buffer error vulnerability exists in Progress Software Ipswitch WS_FTP Server version 3.1.1
