    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-10-28 18:45 – Updated: 2026-10-28 18:45
    VLAI
    Summary
A path traversal vulnerability allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code as root in Sophos UTM (all versions) after winning a race condition by sustaining repeated attacks for a few minutes when the email proxy is used with scanning enabled. Sophos UTM is end-of-life and the patch must be installed manually.
    CWE
    • CWE-35 - The product uses external input to construct a pathname that should be within a restricted directory, but it does not properly neutralize '.../...//' (doubled triple dot slash) sequences that can resolve to a location that is outside of that directory.
