CWE-644

Improper Neutralization of HTTP Headers for Scripting Syntax

The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes web scripting syntax in HTTP headers that can be used by web browser components that can process raw headers, such as Flash.

Title
Tornado vulnerable to Header Injection and XSS via reason argument
Summary
Tornado is a Python web framework and asynchronous networking library. In versions 6.5.2 and below, the supplied reason phrase is used unescaped in HTTP headers (where it could be used for header injection) or in HTML in the default error page (where it could be used for XSS) and can be exploited by passing untrusted or malicious data into the reason argument. Used by both RequestHandler.set_status and tornado.web.HTTPError, the argument is designed to allow applications to pass custom "reason" phrases (the "Not Found" in HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found) to the HTTP status line (mainly for non-standard status codes). This issue is fixed in version 6.5.3.

Title
JUNG Smart Visu Server - Improper Neutralization of HTTP Headers for Scripting Syntax
Summary
JUNG Smart Visu Server 1.1.1050 contains a request header manipulation vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to override request URLs by injecting arbitrary values in the X-Forwarded-Host header. Attackers can manipulate proxied requests to generate tainted responses, enabling cache poisoning, potential phishing, and redirecting users to malicious domains.

Title
Tandoor Recipes Vulnerable to Host Header Injection
Summary
Tandoor Recipes is an application for managing recipes, planning meals, and building shopping lists. Versions up to and including 2.5.3 set ALLOWED_HOSTS = '*' by default, which causes Django to accept any value in the HTTP Host header without validation. The application uses request.build_absolute_uri() to generate absolute URLs in multiple contexts, including invite link emails, API pagination, and OpenAPI schema generation. An attacker who can send requests to the application with a crafted Host header can manipulate all server-generated absolute URLs. The most critical impact is invite link poisoning: when an admin creates an invite and the application sends the invite email, the link points to the attacker's server instead of the real application. When the victim clicks the link, the invite token is sent to the attacker, who can then use it at the real application. As of time of publication, it is unknown if a patched version is available.

"value": "Tandoor Recipes is an application for managing recipes, planning meals, and building shopping lists. Versions up to and including 2.5.3 set ALLOWED_HOSTS = \u0027*\u0027 by default, which causes Django to accept any value in the HTTP Host header without validation. The application uses request.build_absolute_uri() to generate absolute URLs in multiple contexts, including invite link emails, API pagination, and OpenAPI schema generation. An attacker who can send requests to the application with a crafted Host header can manipulate all server-generated absolute URLs. The most critical impact is invite link poisoning: when an admin creates an invite and the application sends the invite email, the link points to the attacker\u0027s server instead of the real application. When the victim clicks the link, the invite token is sent to the attacker, who can then use it at the real application. As of time of publication, it is unknown if a patched version is available."

CVE-2026-33805 (GCVE-0-2026-33805)

Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-04-15 10:13 – Updated: 2026-04-15 13:08
VLAI
Title
@fastify/reply-from vulnerable to connection header abuse enabling stripping of proxy-added headers
Summary
@fastify/reply-from v12.6.1 and earlier and @fastify/http-proxy v11.4.3 and earlier process the client's Connection header after the proxy has added its own headers via rewriteRequestHeaders. This allows attackers to retroactively strip proxy-added headers from upstream requests by listing them in the Connection header value. Any header added by the proxy for routing, access control, or security purposes can be selectively removed by a client. @fastify/http-proxy is also affected as it delegates to @fastify/reply-from. Upgrade to @fastify/reply-from v12.6.2 or @fastify/http-proxy v11.4.4 or later.
