Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-07-15 18:31 – Updated: 2026-07-15 18:31
VLAI
Details

NGINX Plus and NGINX Open Source have a vulnerability in the ngx_http_slice_module module. When the slice directive and unnamed regex captures are configured or when a background cache update happens, unauthenticated attackers can send requests that may cause uninitialized memory access in the NGINX worker process, leading to limited disclosure of memory or a restart.

Impact: This vulnerability may allow remote, unauthenticated attackers to have limited control to disclose memory contents or restart the NGINX worker process. There is no control plane exposure; this is a data plane issue only. Note: The ngx_http_slice_module module is not enabled by default; it's enabled with the --with-http_slice_module configuration parameter.

Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-01-13 18:31 – Updated: 2026-03-25 18:31
VLAI
Details

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

RDMA/core: Check for the presence of LS_NLA_TYPE_DGID correctly

The netlink response for RDMA_NL_LS_OP_IP_RESOLVE should always have a LS_NLA_TYPE_DGID attribute, it is invalid if it does not.

Use the nl parsing logic properly and call nla_parse_deprecated() to fill the nlattrs array and then directly index that array to get the data for the DGID. Just fail if it is NULL.

Remove the for loop searching for the nla, and squash the validation and parsing into one function.

Fixes an uninitialized read from the stack triggered by userspace if it does not provide the DGID to a kernel initiated RDMA_NL_LS_OP_IP_RESOLVE query.

GHSA-W46C-WW47-4HF8

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2025-01-11 15:30 – Updated: 2025-02-03 15:32
VLAI
Details

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

arm64: ptrace: fix partial SETREGSET for NT_ARM_FPMR

Currently fpmr_set() doesn't initialize the temporary 'fpmr' variable, and a SETREGSET call with a length of zero will leave this uninitialized. Consequently an arbitrary value will be written back to target->thread.uw.fpmr, potentially leaking up to 64 bits of memory from the kernel stack. The read is limited to a specific slot on the stack, and the issue does not provide a write mechanism.

Fix this by initializing the temporary value before copying the regset from userspace, as for other regsets (e.g. NT_PRSTATUS, NT_PRFPREG, NT_ARM_SYSTEM_CALL). In the case of a zero-length write, the existing contents of FPMR will be retained.

Before this patch:

| # ./fpmr-test | Attempting to write NT_ARM_FPMR::fpmr = 0x900d900d900d900d | SETREGSET(nt=0x40e, len=8) wrote 8 bytes | | Attempting to read NT_ARM_FPMR::fpmr | GETREGSET(nt=0x40e, len=8) read 8 bytes | Read NT_ARM_FPMR::fpmr = 0x900d900d900d900d | | Attempting to write NT_ARM_FPMR (zero length) | SETREGSET(nt=0x40e, len=0) wrote 0 bytes | | Attempting to read NT_ARM_FPMR::fpmr | GETREGSET(nt=0x40e, len=8) read 8 bytes | Read NT_ARM_FPMR::fpmr = 0xffff800083963d50

After this patch:

| # ./fpmr-test | Attempting to write NT_ARM_FPMR::fpmr = 0x900d900d900d900d | SETREGSET(nt=0x40e, len=8) wrote 8 bytes | | Attempting to read NT_ARM_FPMR::fpmr | GETREGSET(nt=0x40e, len=8) read 8 bytes | Read NT_ARM_FPMR::fpmr = 0x900d900d900d900d | | Attempting to write NT_ARM_FPMR (zero length) | SETREGSET(nt=0x40e, len=0) wrote 0 bytes | | Attempting to read NT_ARM_FPMR::fpmr | GETREGSET(nt=0x40e, len=8) read 8 bytes | Read NT_ARM_FPMR::fpmr = 0x900d900d900d900d

Details

Adobe Prelude version 10.0 (and earlier) are affected by an uninitialized variable vulnerability when parsing a specially crafted file. An unauthenticated attacker could leverage this vulnerability to disclose arbitrary memory information in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-04-22 15:31 – Updated: 2026-04-28 15:30

Details

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

RDMA/irdma: Initialize free_qp completion before using it

In irdma_create_qp, if ib_copy_to_udata fails, it will call irdma_destroy_qp to clean up which will attempt to wait on the free_qp completion, which is not initialized yet. Fix this by initializing the completion before the ib_copy_to_udata call.

Mitigation
Implementation

Explicitly initialize the resource before use. If this is performed through an API function or standard procedure, follow all required steps.

Mitigation
Implementation

Pay close attention to complex conditionals that affect initialization, since some branches might not perform the initialization.

Mitigation
Implementation

Avoid race conditions (CWE-362) during initialization routines.

Mitigation
Build and Compilation

Run or compile the product with settings that generate warnings about uninitialized variables or data.

No CAPEC attack patterns related to this CWE.
