Title
TYPO3 CMS - Privilege Escalation & SQL Injection in Form Framework
Summary
Backend users with write access to the form_definition database table were able to directly create, update, or delete form definition records via DataHandler, bypassing the Form Framework's persistence validation and permission checks. This allowed injecting arbitrary form configurations, re-enabling attack vectors originally addressed in TYPO3-CORE-SA-2018-003, including SQL injection and privilege escalation. This issue affects TYPO3 CMS versions 14.0.0-14.3.2.

Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 16.19.0, authorization bypass was possible via the update_page endpoint in Workspace because public workspaces did not receive the required Workspace Manager edit check. This issue is fixed in version 16.19.0.

Title
Streamable HTTP mode exposes LINE Desktop read/send tools without MCP authentication
Summary
Line Desktop MCP is a project that, while unaffiliated with the official line-bot-mcp-server, allows users to directly operate the LINE Desktop application on Windows or Mac via MCP. `line-desktop-mcp` supports a `--http-mode` Streamable HTTP transport for use with clients such as n8n. In this mode the server binds to `0.0.0.0` and exposes the MCP `/mcp` endpoint without an MCP-layer authentication check. Prior to version 1.1.2, any network client that can reach the port can initialize a session, list tools, and call tools that read LINE Desktop chat history or send LINE messages through the already logged-in desktop application. Version 1.1.2 fixes the issue.

Title
Apache HBase: Missing scanner instance owner check in thrift delegation service
Summary
Missing Authorization vulnerability in Apache HBase thrift and rest delegation service. A scan operation in thrift/rest service has 3 steps, open, fetch(possible multiple times), close. The open step will return an id which will be passed back to server for identifying the scanner instances stored at server side. We missed the owner check in fetch and close steps which means a user can fetch rows from the scanner which is opened by other users, and close scanners which belongs to other users. This issue affects Apache HBase:from 3.0.0-alpha-1 through 3.0.0-beta-1, from 2.6.0 through 2.6.5, from 2.5.0 through 2.5.14, through 2.4.*. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.0.0-beta-2, 2.6.6 and 2.5.15, which fixes the issue.

Title
mcp-memory-service: OAuth read-only clients can write and delete memories through MCP tools/call
Summary
mcp-memory-service is a semantic memory layer for AI applications. Prior to version 10.65.3, the HTTP MCP JSON-RPC endpoint at `/mcp` requires only OAuth `read` scope for all requests, then dispatches `tools/call` directly to handlers that include mutating tools. A read-only OAuth client can call `store_memory` and `delete_memory` through MCP even though the corresponding REST endpoints require `write` scope. Version 10.65.3 patches the issue.

Title
Statamic CMS missing authorization on Control Panel fieldtype endpoints allows disclosure of restricted resources
Summary
Statamic is a Laravel and Git powered content management system (CMS). Prior to 5.73.23 and 6.20.0, an authenticated Control Panel user could view metadata and content for resources they don't have permission to view, including entries, assets, users, roles, groups, and other configured resources. Depending on the resource, this could expose titles, custom field values, entry content, asset metadata, and the existence of users, roles, and groups. No data could be modified. This has been fixed in 5.73.23 and 6.20.0.

Title
Kirby: `pages.access` permission is not checked in the pages picker for parent pages
Summary
Kirby is an open-source content management system. Prior to 4.9.4 and 5.4.4, Kirby sites using the pages field with roles that have the pages.access permission disabled allowed authenticated users to provide an inaccessible parent page or site to the page picker backend and confirm arbitrary page existence and retrieve title field values. This issue is fixed in versions 4.9.4 and 5.4.4.

Title
Nebula Mesh: Web UI lacks ownership checks, enabling cross-operator access to hosts and networks (read, block, delete)
Summary
Nebula Mesh is a self-hosted control plane for the Slack Nebula mesh VPN. In versions 0.3.5 and below, the web UI (/ui/*) does not apply the per-operator CA scoping employed by the JSON API. This was partially addressed by GHSA-598g-h2vc-h5vg, but the changes were not implemented in the web read/mutation surface. Any authenticated non-admin operator (for example, one created via self-registration or OIDC) can access resources belonging to other operators. The host create/edit/mobile-bundle/network-create paths and all CA-management routes were already correctly scoped. A malicious operator could block or delete any other operator's host, or read any operator's hosts and networks. This issue has been fixed in version 0.3.6.

Title
phpMyFAQ: Missing userHasPermission() in 4 API write endpoints (CVE-2026-24421 Incomplete Fix)
Summary
phpMyFAQ is an open source FAQ web application. Versions prior to 4.1.4 have Missing Authorization in the API CategoryController. CVE-2026-24421 addressed this in the BackupController by adding: $this->userHasPermission(PermissionType::BACKUP). The same fix was not applied to 4 other write endpoints in the public API. All 4 only call $this->hasValidToken() — which checks a shared API key header, rather than the individual user's role permissions. The following APIs are affected: POST /api/v4.0/category (CategoryController::create), POST /api/v4.0/faq (FaqController::create), PUT /api/v4.0/faq (FaqController::update), and POST /api/v4.0/question (QuestionController::create). This issue has been fixed in version 4.1.4.

CVE-2026-24421 addressed this in the BackupController by adding: $this-\u003euserHasPermission(PermissionType::BACKUP). The same fix was not applied to 4 other write endpoints in the public API. All 4 only call $this-\u003ehasValidToken() \u2014 which checks a shared API key header, rather than the individual user\u0027s role permissions. The following APIs are affected: POST /api/v4.0/category (CategoryController::create), POST /api/v4.0/faq (FaqController::create), PUT /api/v4.0/faq (FaqController::update), and POST /api/v4.0/question (QuestionController::create). This issue has been fixed in version 4.1.4."

Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • Divide the product into anonymous, normal, privileged, and administrative areas. Reduce the attack surface by carefully mapping roles with data and functionality. Use role-based access control (RBAC) [REF-229] to enforce the roles at the appropriate boundaries.
  • Note that this approach may not protect against horizontal authorization, i.e., it will not protect a user from attacking others with the same role.
Mitigation
Architecture and Design

Ensure that access control checks are performed related to the business logic. These checks may be different than the access control checks that are applied to more generic resources such as files, connections, processes, memory, and database records. For example, a database may restrict access for medical records to a specific database user, but each record might only be intended to be accessible to the patient and the patient's doctor [REF-7].

Mitigation MIT-4.4
Architecture and Design

Strategy: Libraries or Frameworks

  • Use a vetted library or framework that does not allow this weakness to occur or provides constructs that make this weakness easier to avoid.
  • For example, consider using authorization frameworks such as the JAAS Authorization Framework [REF-233] and the OWASP ESAPI Access Control feature [REF-45].
Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • For web applications, make sure that the access control mechanism is enforced correctly at the server side on every page. Users should not be able to access any unauthorized functionality or information by simply requesting direct access to that page.
  • One way to do this is to ensure that all pages containing sensitive information are not cached, and that all such pages restrict access to requests that are accompanied by an active and authenticated session token associated with a user who has the required permissions to access that page.
Mitigation
System Configuration Installation

Use the access control capabilities of your operating system and server environment and define your access control lists accordingly. Use a "default deny" policy when defining these ACLs.

CAPEC-665: Exploitation of Thunderbolt Protection Flaws

An adversary leverages a firmware weakness within the Thunderbolt protocol, on a computing device to manipulate Thunderbolt controller firmware in order to exploit vulnerabilities in the implementation of authorization and verification schemes within Thunderbolt protection mechanisms. Upon gaining physical access to a target device, the adversary conducts high-level firmware manipulation of the victim Thunderbolt controller SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) flash, through the use of a SPI Programing device and an external Thunderbolt device, typically as the target device is booting up. If successful, this allows the adversary to modify memory, subvert authentication mechanisms, spoof identities and content, and extract data and memory from the target device. Currently 7 major vulnerabilities exist within Thunderbolt protocol with 9 attack vectors as noted in the Execution Flow.
