Title
Motors <= 1.4.111 - Missing Authorization to Authenticated (Subscriber+) Arbitrary Post Meta Modification via 'stm_mark_as_sold_car' Parameter
Summary
The Motors – Car Dealership & Classified Listings Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.111. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to mark or unmark any other user's car listing as sold by replaying a valid nonce harvested from their own listing against an arbitrary victim post ID, triggering a site-wide 'Sold' badge on the victim's listing and silently stripping its special_car featured post meta as a side effect. Exploitation requires the attacker to hold an active listing of their own (obtainable by a Subscriber via the plugin's add-listing form) in order to harvest a valid nonce for the 'stm_mark_as_sold_car' action, which can then be replayed against any other listing's post ID.

Title
List category posts <= 0.95.0 - Missing Authorization to Authenticated (Contributor+) Sensitive Information Exposure via 'post_status' Shortcode Attribute
Summary
The List category posts plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 0.95.0 via the sanitize_status. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to extract titles, full content, excerpts, dates, authors, and custom-field metadata of other users' pending-review, scheduled, and trashed posts by embedding a crafted [catlist] shortcode in their own draft and previewing it. This vulnerability is a bypass of the incomplete fix introduced for CVE-2025-11377 in version 0.93.0.

Title
Stripe Payment Forms by WP Full Pay <= 8.4.3 - Missing Authorization to Unauthenticated Payment Record Manipulation via 'paymentIntentId' Parameter
Summary
The WP Full Stripe Free plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in versions up to, and including, 8.4.3 via the wpfs_update_failed_payment_status AJAX action. The handler is registered through both wp_ajax_ and wp_ajax_nopriv_ hooks and the underlying update_failed_payment_status() function performs no capability check, no nonce verification, and no logged-in check before calling $this->db->updatePaymentByEventId() with attacker-controlled POST parameters. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers who can obtain a valid Stripe Payment Intent ID for the target site (Payment Intent IDs are exposed to the customer browser during normal Stripe.js checkout flows) to manipulate payment records in the site's database, marking previously successful payments as failed and overwriting failure codes and messages with attacker-supplied values.

Title
Blocks for ACF Fields <= 1.6.2 - Missing Authorization to Authenticated (Author+) Arbitrary ACF Field Value Disclosure via 'id' Parameter
Summary
The Blocks for ACF Fields plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access of data due to a missing capability check on the get_all_values() function in the /wp-json/acf-field-blocks/v1/values REST endpoint in versions up to, and including, 1.6.2. The permission_callback only verifies the generic publish_posts capability and the handler passes a user-supplied id parameter directly to get_field_objects() without verifying that the requesting user is authorized to read the target object. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to read ACF field values from arbitrary posts (including private posts, drafts, posts by other users, and other ACF-supported objects) that they should not have access to.

Title
E2Pdf <= 1.32.26 - Missing Authorization to Authenticated (Custom+) Arbitrary Option Update / Privilege Escalation via 'screen_action' Parameter
Summary
The E2Pdf – Export Pdf Tool for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in versions up to, and including, 1.32.26. This is due to the screen_action() function lacking a dedicated capability check and nonce verification — when invoked via the ?action=screen routing path the controller's index_action() nonce gate is bypassed entirely — while reading an attacker-controlled option name and value from $_POST['wp_screen_options'] and passing them directly to update_option() with no allowlist, relying solely on the page-level e2pdf_templates capability which the plugin's own Permissions UI allows administrators to grant to any role including Subscriber, Contributor, Author, or Editor. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with a custom role that has been granted the e2pdf_templates capability, to overwrite arbitrary WordPress options such as default_role and thereby escalate their privileges to administrator.

Title
User Frontend <= 4.3.7 - Missing Authorization to Unauthenticated Arbitrary Attachment Deletion via 'attach_id' Parameter
Summary
The User Frontend: AI Powered Frontend Posting, User Directory, Profile, Membership & User Registration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 4.3.7. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary media attachments whose post_author is 0, such as guest and registration-form uploads, via the wpuf_file_del AJAX action. This is exploitable by unauthenticated visitors on any site where a WPUF shortcode is rendered on a front-end page, as this causes the valid wpuf_nonce value to be localized into publicly accessible JavaScript objects (wpuf_upload and wpuf_frontend), satisfying the sole access control gate.

This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to enumerate sequential report IDs and download complete form submission data — including names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, payment details, and uploaded file paths — for any saved report on the site.

Title
Premium Addons for KingComposer <= 1.1.1 - Missing Authorization to Unauthenticated Arbitrary Custom Sidebar Creation and Deletion via 'add_custom_sidebar' and 'remove_custom_sidebar' AJAX actions
Summary
The Premium Addons for KingComposer plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification and loss of data in versions up to, and including, 1.1.1. This is due to missing authorization and capability checks on the add_custom_sidebar() and remove_custom_sidebar() AJAX handlers, both of which are exposed through wp_ajax_nopriv_* hooks and write directly to the octagon_custom_sidebar option via update_option(). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to create arbitrary custom widget areas or delete existing custom sidebars, which can cause widgets assigned to those areas to silently lose their registration and stop rendering.

Title
WP Go Maps <= 10.1.01 - Unauthenticated Arbitrary Record Creation
Summary
The WP Go Maps – Most Popular Map Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 10.1.01. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to create arbitrary records in plugin database tables (maps, markers, circles, polygons, polylines, rectangles, and point labels) by supplying a WPGMZA-namespaced CRUD-backed class name via the phpClass parameter. The namespace validation check (requiring the 'WPGMZA' prefix) does not prevent exploitation because classes such as WPGMZA\Map and WPGMZA\Marker satisfy it while still triggering an INSERT into the corresponding plugin table before the route rejects the request.

Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • Divide the product into anonymous, normal, privileged, and administrative areas. Reduce the attack surface by carefully mapping roles with data and functionality. Use role-based access control (RBAC) [REF-229] to enforce the roles at the appropriate boundaries.
  • Note that this approach may not protect against horizontal authorization, i.e., it will not protect a user from attacking others with the same role.
Mitigation
Architecture and Design

Ensure that access control checks are performed related to the business logic. These checks may be different than the access control checks that are applied to more generic resources such as files, connections, processes, memory, and database records. For example, a database may restrict access for medical records to a specific database user, but each record might only be intended to be accessible to the patient and the patient's doctor [REF-7].

Mitigation MIT-4.4
Architecture and Design

Strategy: Libraries or Frameworks

  • Use a vetted library or framework that does not allow this weakness to occur or provides constructs that make this weakness easier to avoid.
  • For example, consider using authorization frameworks such as the JAAS Authorization Framework [REF-233] and the OWASP ESAPI Access Control feature [REF-45].
Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • For web applications, make sure that the access control mechanism is enforced correctly at the server side on every page. Users should not be able to access any unauthorized functionality or information by simply requesting direct access to that page.
  • One way to do this is to ensure that all pages containing sensitive information are not cached, and that all such pages restrict access to requests that are accompanied by an active and authenticated session token associated with a user who has the required permissions to access that page.
Mitigation
System Configuration Installation

Use the access control capabilities of your operating system and server environment and define your access control lists accordingly. Use a "default deny" policy when defining these ACLs.

CAPEC-665: Exploitation of Thunderbolt Protection Flaws

An adversary leverages a firmware weakness within the Thunderbolt protocol, on a computing device to manipulate Thunderbolt controller firmware in order to exploit vulnerabilities in the implementation of authorization and verification schemes within Thunderbolt protection mechanisms. Upon gaining physical access to a target device, the adversary conducts high-level firmware manipulation of the victim Thunderbolt controller SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) flash, through the use of a SPI Programing device and an external Thunderbolt device, typically as the target device is booting up. If successful, this allows the adversary to modify memory, subvert authentication mechanisms, spoof identities and content, and extract data and memory from the target device. Currently 7 major vulnerabilities exist within Thunderbolt protocol with 9 attack vectors as noted in the Execution Flow.
