Summary
TigerVNC accessible via the network and not just via a UNIX socket as intended
Details

Summary

jupyter-remote-desktop-proxy was meant to rely on UNIX sockets readable only by the current user since version 3.0.0, but when used with TigerVNC, the VNC server started by jupyter-remote-desktop-proxy were still accessible via the network.

This vulnerability does not affect users having TurboVNC as the vncserver executable.

Credits

This vulnerability was identified by Arne Gottwald at University of Göttingen and analyzed, reported, and reviewed by @frejanordsiek.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2023-04-12 20:40 – Updated: 2023-04-16 07:18
VLAI
Summary
Unauthenticated user can have information about hidden users on subwikis through uorgsuggest.vm
Details

Impact

It's possible to list some users who are normally not viewable from subwiki by requesting users on a subwiki which allows only global users with uorgsuggest.vm. This issue only concerns hidden users from main wiki. Note that the disclosed information are the username and the first and last name of users, no other information is leaked.

Patches

The problem has been patched on XWiki 13.10.8, 14.4.3 and 14.7RC1.

Workarounds

It's possible to workaround this vulnerability by patching directly uorgsuggest.vm to apply the same changes as in https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-platform/pull/1883.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2024-06-20 12:31 – Updated: 2025-09-17 18:31

Details

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

net: fix information leakage in /proc/net/ptype

In one net namespace, after creating a packet socket without binding it to a device, users in other net namespaces can observe the new packet_type added by this packet socket by reading /proc/net/ptype file. This is minor information leakage as packet socket is namespace aware.

Add a net pointer in packet_type to keep the net namespace of of corresponding packet socket. In ptype_seq_show, this net pointer must be checked when it is not NULL.

GHSA-VW84-HPRM-CXMM

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2025-10-31 21:24 – Updated: 2025-10-31 21:24
VLAI
Summary
Agno session state overwrites between different sessions/users
Details

Impact

Under certain conditions (under high concurrency), when session_state is passed to an Agent or Team during run or arun calls, a race condition can occur, causing a session_state to be assigned and persisted to the incorrect session. This may result in user data from one session being exposed to another user.

Patches

This has been patched in version 2.2.2. Upgrade with pip install -U agno.
