Title
OpenEMR: POST /api/.../vital Accepts Attacker-Supplied id and Overwrites Arbitrary Vitals
Summary
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to 8.0.0.2, the encounter vitals API accepts an `id` in the request body and treats it as an UPDATE. There is no verification that the vital belongs to the current patient or encounter. An authenticated user with encounters/notes permission can overwrite any patient's vitals by supplying another patient's vital `id`, leading to medical record tampering. Version 8.0.0.2 fixes the issue.

Payload Affected by Cross-Collection IDOR in payload-preferences Access Control (Multi-Auth Environments)
Summary
Payload is a free and open source headless content management system. Prior to 3.74.0, a cross-collection Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) vulnerability exists in the payload-preferences internal collection. In multi-auth collection environments using Postgres or SQLite with default serial/auto-increment IDs, authenticated users from one auth collection can read and delete preferences belonging to users in different auth collections when their numeric IDs collide. This vulnerability has been patched in v3.74.0.

Craft has a GraphQL Asset Mutation Privilege Escalation
Summary
Craft is a platform for creating digital experiences. In Craft versions from 4.0.0-RC1 to before 4.17.0-beta.1 and 5.9.0-beta.1, there is a Privilege Escalation vulnerability in Craft CMS’s GraphQL API that allows an authenticated user with write access to one asset volume to escalate their privileges and modify/transfer assets belonging to any other volume, including restricted or private volumes to which they should not have access. The saveAsset GraphQL mutation validates authorization against the schema-resolved volume but fetches the target asset by ID without verifying that the asset belongs to the authorized volume. This allows unauthorized cross-volume asset modification and transfer. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.17.0-beta.1 and 5.9.0-beta.1.

OpenEMR Messages "Show All" Not Restricted to Admins
Summary
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to version 8.0.0, the Message Center accepts the URL parameter `show_all=yes` and passes it to `getPnotesByUser()`, which returns all internal messages (all users’ notes). The backend does not verify that the requesting user is an administrator before honoring `show_all=yes`. The "Show All" link is also visible to non-admin users. As a result, any authenticated user can view the entire internal message list by requesting `messages.php?show_all=yes`. Version 8.0.0 patches the issue.

For each and every data access, ensure that the user has sufficient privilege to access the record that is being requested.

Make sure that the key that is used in the lookup of a specific user's record is not controllable externally by the user or that any tampering can be detected.

Use encryption in order to make it more difficult to guess other legitimate values of the key or associate a digital signature with the key so that the server can verify that there has been no tampering.
