Vulnerability from github – Published: 2024-09-04 21:30 – Updated: 2026-05-12 12:32In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: gadget: core: Check for unset descriptor
Make sure the descriptor has been set before looking at maxpacket. This fixes a null pointer panic in this case.
This may happen if the gadget doesn't properly set up the endpoint for the current speed, or the gadget descriptors are malformed and the descriptor for the speed/endpoint are not found.
No current gadget driver is known to have this problem, but this may cause a hard-to-find bug during development of new gadgets.

GHSA-VCJJ-9VG7-VF68
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2021-08-25 14:39 – Updated: 2024-11-13 21:22Impact
An attacker can craft a TFLite model that would trigger a null pointer dereference, which would result in a crash and denial of service:
import tensorflow as tf
model = tf.keras.models.Sequential()
model.add(tf.keras.Input(shape=(1, 2, 3)))
model.add(tf.keras.layers.Dense(0, activation='relu'))
converter = tf.lite.TFLiteConverter.from_keras_model(model)
tflite_model = converter.convert()
interpreter = tf.lite.Interpreter(model_content=tflite_model)
interpreter.allocate_tensors()
interpreter.invoke()
The implementation unconditionally dereferences a pointer.
if (y4 > 1) {
// ...
} else {
for (int i0 = 0; i0 < y0; ++i0) {
const T* input2_data_ptr = nullptr;
for (int i1 = 0; i1 < y1; ++i1) {
input2_data_ptr = input2_data_reset;
for (int i2 = 0; i2 < y2; ++i2) {
scalar_broadcast_f(y3, params, *input1_data_ptr, input2_data_ptr,
output_data_ptr);
}
}
}
}
Patches
We have patched the issue in GitHub commit 15691e456c7dc9bd6be203b09765b063bf4a380c.
The fix will be included in TensorFlow 2.6.0. We will also cherrypick this commit on TensorFlow 2.5.1, TensorFlow 2.4.3, and TensorFlow 2.3.4, as these are also affected and still in supported range.

GHSA-VCP2-PCM5-4HQ8
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2025-02-27 03:34 – Updated: 2025-10-23 15:30In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xfrm: delete intermediate secpath entry in packet offload mode
Packets handled by hardware have added secpath as a way to inform XFRM core code that this path was already handled. That secpath is not needed at all after policy is checked and it is removed later in the stack.
However, in the case of IP forwarding is enabled (/proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward), that secpath is not removed and packets which already were handled are reentered to the driver TX path with xfrm_offload set.
The following kernel panic is observed in mlx5 in such case:

Mitigation MIT-56
For any pointers that could have been modified or provided from a function that can return NULL, check the pointer for NULL before use. When working with a multithreaded or otherwise asynchronous environment, ensure that proper locking APIs are used to lock before the check, and unlock when it has finished [REF-1484].
Mitigation
Select a programming language that is not susceptible to these issues.
Mitigation
Check the results of all functions that return a value and verify that the value is non-null before acting upon it.
Mitigation
Identify all variables and data stores that receive information from external sources, and apply input validation to make sure that they are only initialized to expected values.
Mitigation
Explicitly initialize all variables and other data stores, either during declaration or just before the first usage.
No CAPEC attack patterns related to this CWE.
