GHSA-X34J-QCQJ-W3PM
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-05-01 15:30 – Updated: 2026-05-08 18:31In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: ulpi: fix double free in ulpi_register_interface() error path
When device_register() fails, ulpi_register() calls put_device() on ulpi->dev.
The device release callback ulpi_dev_release() drops the OF node reference and frees ulpi, but the current error path in ulpi_register_interface() then calls kfree(ulpi) again, causing a double free.
Let put_device() handle the cleanup through ulpi_dev_release() and avoid freeing ulpi again in ulpi_register_interface().

GHSA-X35G-752C-R3XH
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2024-07-29 18:30 – Updated: 2025-11-04 00:31In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ata: libata-core: Fix double free on error
If e.g. the ata_port_alloc() call in ata_host_alloc() fails, we will jump to the err_out label, which will call devres_release_group(). devres_release_group() will trigger a call to ata_host_release(). ata_host_release() calls kfree(host), so executing the kfree(host) in ata_host_alloc() will lead to a double free:

GHSA-X6VQ-VC9Q-792P
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2022-05-13 01:01 – Updated: 2022-05-13 01:01An exploitable double free vulnerability exists in the mdnscap binary of the CUJO Smart Firewall. When parsing mDNS packets, a memory space is freed twice if an invalid query name is encountered, leading to arbitrary code execution in the context of the mdnscap process. An unauthenticated attacker can send an mDNS message to trigger this vulnerability.

GHSA-X73R-R6QR-625X
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2025-10-07 18:31 – Updated: 2026-02-04 18:30In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf, sockmap: Fix repeated calls to sock_put() when msg has more_data
In tcp_bpf_send_verdict() redirection, the eval variable is assigned to __SK_REDIRECT after the apply_bytes data is sent, if msg has more_data, sock_put() will be called multiple times.
We should reset the eval variable to __SK_NONE every time more_data starts.
This causes:

Mitigation
Choose a language that provides automatic memory management.
Mitigation
Ensure that each allocation is freed only once. After freeing a chunk, set the pointer to NULL to ensure the pointer cannot be freed again. In complicated error conditions, be sure that clean-up routines respect the state of allocation properly. If the language is object oriented, ensure that object destructors delete each chunk of memory only once.
Mitigation
Use a static analysis tool to find double free instances.
No CAPEC attack patterns related to this CWE.
