Vulnerability from github – Published: 2022-02-09 23:47 – Updated: 2024-11-13 22:34
VLAI
Summary
Division by zero in TFLite
Details

Impact

An attacker can craft a TFLite model that would trigger a division by zero in the implementation of depthwise convolutions.

The parameters of the convolution can be user controlled and are also used within a division operation to determine the size of the padding that needs to be added before applying the convolution. There is no check before this division that the divisor is stricly positive.

Patches

We have patched the issue in GitHub commit e5b0eec199c2d03de54fd6a7fd9275692218e2bc.

The fix will be included in TensorFlow 2.8.0. We will also cherrypick this commit on TensorFlow 2.7.1, TensorFlow 2.6.3, and TensorFlow 2.5.3, as these are also affected and still in supported range.

Please consult our security guide for more information regarding the security model and how to contact us with issues and questions.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-05-28 12:30 – Updated: 2026-06-11 03:30

Details

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

sound: ua101: fix division by zero at probe

Add a missing sanity check for bNrChannels in detect_usb_format() to prevent a division by zero in playback_urb_complete() and capture_urb_complete().

USB core does not validate class-specific descriptor fields such as bNrChannels, so drivers must verify them before use. If a device provides bNrChannels = 0, frame_bytes becomes zero and is later used as a divisor in the URB completion handlers, leading to a kernel crash.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-06-03 15:30 – Updated: 2026-06-29 21:31
VLAI
Details

A divide-by-zero vulnerability in the ext4_block_set_lb_size function in src/ext4_blockdev.c of the lwext4 1.0.0 library allows attackers to cause a denial of service by providing a malformed ext4 filesystem image that results in a zero logical block size. The vulnerability is triggered during mount or image processing and leads to a Floating-Point Exception (FPE) under sanitizers or a runtime crash in standard builds due to missing validation of lb_size.

Summary
jsrsasign: Division by Zero Allows Invalid JWK Modulus to Cause Deterministic Zero Output in RSA Operations
Details

Versions of the package jsrsasign before 11.1.1 are vulnerable to Division by zero due to the RSASetPublic/KEYUTIL parsing path in ext/rsa.js and the BigInteger.modPowInt reduction logic in ext/jsbn.js. An attacker can force RSA public-key operations (e.g., verify and encryption) to collapse to deterministic zero outputs and hide “invalid key” errors by supplying a JWK whose modulus decodes to zero.

Details

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

spi: sn-f-ospi: Fix division by zero

When there is no dummy cycle in the spi-nor commands, both dummy bus cycle bytes and width are zero. Because of the cpu's warning when divided by zero, the warning should be avoided. Return just zero to avoid such calculations.

Details

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

fbdev: savage: Handle err return when savagefb_check_var failed

The commit 04e5eac8f3ab("fbdev: savage: Error out if pixclock equals zero") checks the value of pixclock to avoid divide-by-zero error. However the function savagefb_probe doesn't handle the error return of savagefb_check_var. When pixclock is 0, it will cause divide-by-zero error.

GHSA-4HJR-56F9-J54W

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2025-01-21 12:30 – Updated: 2025-09-26 21:30
VLAI
Details

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

gve: guard XDP xmit NDO on existence of xdp queues

In GVE, dedicated XDP queues only exist when an XDP program is installed and the interface is up. As such, the NDO XDP XMIT callback should return early if either of these conditions are false.

In the case of no loaded XDP program, priv->num_xdp_queues=0 which can cause a divide-by-zero error, and in the case of interface down, num_xdp_queues remains untouched to persist XDP queue count for the next interface up, but the TX pointer itself would be NULL.

The XDP xmit callback also needs to synchronize with a device transitioning from open to close. This synchronization will happen via the GVE_PRIV_FLAGS_NAPI_ENABLED bit along with a synchronize_net() call, which waits for any RCU critical sections at call-time to complete.
