The affected devices are supporting weak ciphers on several ports (443/tcp for web, 4443/tcp for DIGSI 5 and configurable port for syslog over TLS). This could allow an unauthorized attacker in a man-in-the-middle position to read and modify any data passed over to and from those ports.

GHSA-H8V5-P258-PQF4
Vulnerability from github – Published: 2022-05-24 12:47 – Updated: 2022-05-24 12:47Impact
XWiki Crypto API will generate X509 certificates signed by default using SHA1 with RSA, which is not considered safe anymore for use in certificate signatures, due to the risk of collisions with SHA1. Note that this API is never used in XWiki Standard but it might be used in some extensions of XWiki.
Patches
The problem has been patched in XWiki version 13.10.6, 14.3.1 and 14.4-rc-1. Since then, the Crypto API will generate X509 certificates signed by default using SHA256 with RSA.
Workarounds
Administrators are advised to upgrade their XWiki installation to one of the patched versions. If the upgrade is not possible, it is possible to patch the module xwiki-platform-crypto in a local installation by applying the change exposed in https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-platform/commit/26728f3f23658288683667a5182a916c7ecefc52 and re-compiling the module.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2024-04-10 18:30 – Updated: 2024-04-10 18:30A weak (low bit strength) device certificate in Palo Alto Networks Panorama software enables an attacker to perform a meddler-in-the-middle (MitM) attack to capture encrypted traffic between the Panorama management server and the firewalls it manages. With sufficient computing resources, the attacker could break encrypted communication and expose sensitive information that is shared between the management server and the firewalls.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2025-09-24 12:30 – Updated: 2026-03-04 15:30In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: l2cap: Check encryption key size on incoming connection
This is required for passing GAP/SEC/SEM/BI-04-C PTS test case: Security Mode 4 Level 4, Responder - Invalid Encryption Key Size - 128 bit
This tests the security key with size from 1 to 15 bytes while the Security Mode 4 Level 4 requests 16 bytes key size.
Currently PTS fails with the following logs: - expected:Connection Response: Code: [3 (0x03)] Code Identifier: (lt)WildCard: Exists(gt) Length: [8 (0x0008)] Destination CID: (lt)WildCard: Exists(gt) Source CID: [64 (0x0040)] Result: [3 (0x0003)] Connection refused - Security block Status: (lt)WildCard: Exists(gt), but received:Connection Response: Code: [3 (0x03)] Code Identifier: [1 (0x01)] Length: [8 (0x0008)] Destination CID: [64 (0x0040)] Source CID: [64 (0x0040)] Result: [0 (0x0000)] Connection Successful Status: [0 (0x0000)] No further information available

Mitigation
Use an encryption scheme that is currently considered to be strong by experts in the field.
CAPEC-112: Brute Force
In this attack, some asset (information, functionality, identity, etc.) is protected by a finite secret value. The attacker attempts to gain access to this asset by using trial-and-error to exhaustively explore all the possible secret values in the hope of finding the secret (or a value that is functionally equivalent) that will unlock the asset.
CAPEC-192: Protocol Analysis
An adversary engages in activities to decipher and/or decode protocol information for a network or application communication protocol used for transmitting information between interconnected nodes or systems on a packet-switched data network. While this type of analysis involves the analysis of a networking protocol inherently, it does not require the presence of an actual or physical network.
CAPEC-20: Encryption Brute Forcing
An attacker, armed with the cipher text and the encryption algorithm used, performs an exhaustive (brute force) search on the key space to determine the key that decrypts the cipher text to obtain the plaintext.
