<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Visionary Technology in Library Solutions (VTLS) vtls.web.gateway before 48.1.1 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the searchtype parameter. Web Gateway is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input.
An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may help the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and to launch other attacks.
This issue affects versions prior to Web Gateway 48.1.1.</p>
